When the most interesting process begins - creating a crochet headscarf for girls - the diagram shows fairly simple elements. This air loops, double crochets and single crochets. If the child's age is from 3 to 6 years, you will need 70 grams of cotton thread, just in case it is worth having a little more material. If you have other preferences in threads, it’s okay, whatever you like. There are special children's threads, they do not lose color, are made without all kinds of impurities, and do not cause allergic reactions.

It is necessary to tie a braid (from air loops) of the required length, depending on the circumference of the child’s head, and connect the ends. Then a pattern is knitted, it can be anything, alternating double crochets and single crochets to create a kind of mesh.

At the next stage of creating a crochet headscarf for girls, the patterns can be put aside. A thread of a different color is added and a straight row is knitted. Having reached the back of the head, you should measure 10 centimeters in the middle of the product and turn in the opposite direction. In each subsequent row, you need to unknit a pair of loops on both sides evenly. If all the rules for knitting are followed, one loop remains at the end. It needs to be tied well, secured and then cut off the thread, hiding the tail in the rows. The scarf is almost ready, all that remains is to tie all the edges with a single crochet, this will give it neatness. This is considered the next stage in the development of knitting, and then you can learn to create hats and other items of clothing. Pattern Description:

The fabric is knitted according to the pattern in straight and reverse rows. We start knitting with 3 ch. Next, we make 5 DC 3 VP from the hook, while making 3 VP between the columns. In the subsequent rows we make 3 PP instead of CCH. We perform the last CH of the row in 3 PP of the previous row.

The diagram shows the first 4 rows. The remaining rows are knitted in a similar way with repeating between the arrows in the diagram.

Knitting density:

Control sample with dimensions 10x10 cm, knitted pattern according to the scheme, it should consist of 34 p. and 13 r.

Stages of work:

Let's start our knitting: a scarf for women is crocheted with the main pattern. We perform the first 4 rows strictly according to the scheme.

Starting from the 5th row, to expand the fabric, we add a double stitch in the same way as in the 3rd and 4th rows. Having knitted 23cm (21 r.), we need to knit 2 more rows of CHN (similar to rows a and b in the diagram).

We move on to tying the edge of the scarf. You can use yarn of a different color. So, we secure the thread using the connection. column (if you decide to use a contrasting thread for tying), then repeat to the upper corner: 2 VP, 1 sc in the next. 3rd CHN, inserting the hook into a column located 1 row below. Next, we make 4 sc in an arch of 3 ch and finish the row, performing symmetrical rapport.

To get the same crochet scarf for a girl, you can simply reduce the number of rows and start tying the edge not after the 21st row, but, for example, after the 15th. In any case, choose the right number of rows for the appropriate scarf size.

Product assembly.

To make ties for the scarf, from the corners of the triangle we make a chain of VP with a length of 26 cm. Please note that they are knitted with thread in 2 folds.

Wash the scarf in cold water, shape it and dry it in a horizontal position.

Using the instructions on how to crochet a scarf, you can also make a neck scarf. To do this, you need to increase the number of rows and knit until the scarf reaches the desired size. You can decorate such a scarf with fringe.
