Note: Poems of my own composition.

In every kindergarten group there are toys that are no longer suitable for use. These are balls, car wheels, plastic geometric shapes, pens, finished ballpoint pen pastes, damaged bills, counting sticks, pen caps and much more. Don't rush to throw them away. Collect them in a separate box. When the holidays approach, I always use this box of mine for crafts. When the Christmas holidays are approaching, it’s time to think about the tree and toys. That’s when happy times begin for my hidden trinkets. Their time comes, their turn to delight children and guests. Their second life begins.

You ask us: -Why?
Do you need old junk?
"The economy should be economical" -
We will answer you together.

Lived in a small box
Handles, wheel, laces,
Skittles, ball, cap,
Burlap, spider,
Cubes, toys, cup-
Old junk we don't need.
What happened to them one day
We will tell you now.
Our hand began to cry:-
There is no benefit, where is the use?
They were going to calm down
All the toys, as best they could.
-Don’t be sad, don’t cry, little hand, -
The wheel tells her.
- Let's all come to life, you'll see,
Christmas is coming.
He'll get us all out of the box
The one that hid here.
Will turn us all into toys
New Year's, that's when...
Let's sparkle, let's shine,
let's smile at everyone...
That they didn't abandon me
I'm not crying, I'm very happy.
I'm glad for those who are so skillful
They give us a second life.
Be a New Year's toy
Believe me, you will like it too.

When I read this poem before work, children get to work with extraordinary ease and everyone is proud that they have given a second life to their old toy or trinket. And I really want everything junk toys in the kindergarten they received their second life not only on the Christmas holidays, but also on the autumn, spring, and summer holidays.
All groups have bowling pins with balls. Since they are made of lightweight plastic, they quickly deteriorate, crack, dent, the round head falls off, and as a rule, we throw them away. My children and I give them a second life. they turn into New Year's toys in our hands. Balls and cones have always been considered the main toys after the star. They can be big or small, from different materials, simple and with addition various elements, because there is no limit to the imagination. In this master class, I propose to make two toys from skittles: round and oval, and a gift toy from a plastic cube.
To do this you need:
-skittles, cube,
-fabric (you can use any fabric, mostly, since I like to sew, I use scrap pieces;
-satin ribbons and unnecessary gift bows and ribbons different colors(at discretion);
- cotton pads;
-buttons of different colors and shapes;
-various flowers from damaged hairpins, bobby pins or beads, scales (optional);
- pen caps;
- colored foil paper;
-scissors, glue, ruler, needle and thread, pins.
Safety precautions when working with scissors, needles, pins:
- the scissors must be adjusted, be careful when using them, place them close to your right.
- so that the needles are not bent or rusty, do not leave them on the table, do not put them in your mouth, do not stick them into clothes, or stick them into pin cushions after work.
Work progress:

We take the damaged skittles, separate the round part from the main part and get two shapes

Take a piece of fabric and cut it into a square (the dimensions depend on the size of the ball)

Place the cut circle on the fabric

Wrap it in fabric, making small folds

First we tie it with a simple thread,

We take the pen heads and ribbon and start decorating

We cut the ribbon into 4 segments - 2 x 6 cm and 2 x 9 cm (depending on the size of the heads) and baste with a needle

Then we tighten the basted thread and make a spiral

We thread these spirals onto the caps from the handles and get small Christmas trees

we make caps for these Christmas trees and sew these Christmas trees to the toy

take a satin ribbon (color and width at your discretion) and make a bow

we tie the toy with this bow

We cut the ends of the ribbon into thin threads (the height of the cut is at your discretion), take damaged hairpins, bobby pins with flowers, choose the most suitable one (also at your discretion) and sew it to the toy

Our first toy is ready.

To make the next toy from the oval part, you will need skittles

Take the skittles and use a pin to fix the center of the form tying with a ribbon (the color of the ribbon is arbitrary)

we wrap it like a cocoon with a ribbon, fixing the ribbon to the form with pins. The rounded ends of the pins do not spoil, but give the product the appearance of a cone after wrapping (you can glue it if desired)

When we reach the end, we turn the ribbon 90 degrees and fix it so that we can make a pendant

bend the ribbon, make a pendant and cut out the rest of the ribbon

then we begin to wrap the bottom part. When we finish tying, we sew on the lower part, and so that the sewing is not visible from below, we glue a cotton pad to imitate snow

Let's start designing the toy. Take cotton pads and cut out three different sized circles

From these circles we make a snowman and fix it (or glue it, at your discretion)

From colored paper, or scales, or from beads (optional), we make eyes, a nose, and buttons for the snowman

Take a toothpick and the remains from the cut cotton pad

We make a broom for a snowman and a snow meadow out of them

We take different buttons, a twig from an old Christmas tree, pieces of a cotton pad from a cut out snowman

Sew a star button next to the snowman

Sew a Christmas tree branch under the star.
We take buttons, string rain on them (I used ribbon for gifts, since it can be twisted)

We decorate our little Christmas tree with these buttons, make a hat for the snowman and snow under the Christmas tree

Our second toy is ready.

To make the third toy we take the following:

Take colored foil, purple (optional), put the cube on it and wrap the cube

Since we have waste material - foil does not correspond to the size of the cube and, accordingly, there was not enough.
But this is even better. you can dream up

Let's take it colored paper golden foil, cut into squares (dimensions depend on the size of the square)

draw the shape of a cube in the center of the paper and draw a diagonal line from the corners of the cube to the corners of the paper and cut it out

Place the cube in the middle with the unwrapped part facing down towards the paper and begin gluing the foil to the cube.

The result is a shiny two-color cube

We cut out small cubes from cut out pieces of golden foil and make snowflakes from them.

Tie a bow with a shiny ribbon (choose the color at your discretion)

Glue a white snowflake cut from a cotton pad onto the bottom of the cube.

Handmade Christmas decorations allow you not only to decorate your Christmas tree and home in an original way for the New Year, but also to have fun and give free rein to your imagination. In addition, homemade toys will bring special comfort, harmony and love with which they are made to your home.

When making Christmas tree decorations, bring your most incredible fantasies to life. You will have most available materials at your disposal, for example, plastic bottles, felt, burnt out light bulbs, cotton wool, foam, natural resources.

DIY Christmas tree decorations master class

Nowadays you can easily buy Christmas decorations, but sometimes you really want to decorate your house with something unique, beautiful, special. If you have a desire to create, try making a few toys yourself.

Multi-colored paper balls look stylish and modern on the Christmas tree. As a rule, they are made from colored paper, but let’s leave this material for the children in kindergarten, and use a spectacular scheme for making balls from colorful greeting cards or calendars.

What you will need:

  • postcards;
  • stationery scissors;
  • glue;
  • cup.

Let's start our master class:

  • Using a glass, we make a mark on the cards and cut out eight identical circles.
  • Fold each circle in half, then fold the semicircle in half again.
  • Cut out one smaller circle and glue the folded circles to it.
  • Then we turn the workpiece over and glue the remaining four folded circles on the other side.
  • When the glue dries, unfold each circle and connect the walls to the adjacent circles. Use a hot gun or stapler.
  • Attach a ribbon to one side to make it easy to secure the ball to the tree.
  • The ball can be left as is, or decorated with acrylic paints, multi-colored glitters, and rhinestones.

You can make different balls from postcards using blanks different forms- triangles, semicircles, cones.

A great idea for homemade Christmas tree decorations is multi-colored designs made from wine corks. For work you may need:

  • paints;
  • ribbons;
  • beads;
  • wire;
  • threads;
  • superglue;
  • special New Year's decor (miniature branches, snowflakes, berries in the snow, etc.).

For example, you can make a silhouette of a Christmas tree from cork:

  • Using a sharp knife, divide each cork into three equal parts. We prepare 18 blanks for work.

  • Now on a flat surface we lay out 6 corks in the form of Christmas trees and glue them together. You will get 3 Christmas trees.

  • While the trees are drying, cut three pieces of twine or ribbon, each 40 cm long. We make a loop in the middle.

  • We apply the knot to the top of the tree, and wrap the edges around the perimeter. We attach the twine with glue.
  • We tie the ends together and further strengthen them with a drop of glue.

  • We form the remaining two trees in the same way.

  • Additionally, the plugs on the Christmas trees can be decorated with rhinestones, confetti, sparkles, and painted.

Do you want to decorate your Christmas tree in unusual snowflakes?! Then go to the store for pasta! Choose rings, shells, spirals and others unusual shapes. Additionally, get hot glue and spray paint.

So let's get started:

  • Grab a handful of shells and wheels. It is advisable to choose products of the same size.

  • Come up with a snowflake template or use ready-made patterns.

  • Place in in the necessary order pasta and use hot glue to glue them together.
  • Spray the snowflakes with spray paint and let dry.

  • Tie ribbon loops to the snowflakes.
  • If you want to make snowflakes more attractive, cover them with a thin layer of PVA and sprinkle with glitter.

  • By the way, it is not necessary to make snowflakes white. For example, you can add gold and get bright and mysterious snowflakes...

  • ...or change direction and make a quirky creation out of navy shells and farfalle.

DIY Christmas tree decorations made of cotton wool, with photos step by step

Cotton wool makes cute and budget-friendly Christmas tree crafts.

Let's make a cute Snow Maiden from cotton wool.

You will need:

  • a lot of cotton wool;
  • varied decor;
  • glue;
  • newspapers;
  • textile paints;
  • wire.

How to make a toy:

  • Divide the roll of medical cotton into several fragments. Then color them using textile paints. This is easy to do: pour water into a fireproof container, add dye, add cotton wool and bring to a boil. Let stand for 15 minutes, remove the cotton wool from the water and squeeze it out.

  • The next stage is preparing the paste. Bring 200 ml of water to a boil, dissolve 2 tbsp in it. l. starch. Instead of paste, you can also use PVA.
  • If you want to make the Snow Maiden realistic, you will have to knead salt dough to make a face out of him. Combine two parts flour, part salt, and a little water. Form a face from the dough and dry it in the oven at 120⁰C. When the face has cooled, paint on the elements - eyes, nose, eyelashes. Attach it to the frame using hot glue.

  • Take a piece of wire and make a frame out of it that resembles a human body. Soak the cotton balls in the paste and wrap them around the parts of the workpiece that will be your future arms and legs. Then tear a piece of newspaper into pieces, moisten it with paste and wrap it around the “body”, modeling the silhouette of the Snow Maiden.

  • At the end, apply another layer of cotton wool with paste, from which you form clothes, a braid and a hat for the Snow Maiden. At this stage, make sure your fingers are clean, as your beauty’s outfit can easily get dirty.

A cute little lamb will complement the look of your holiday tree.

For creativity you need to prepare:

  • roll of cotton wool;
  • toothpicks;
  • paste;
  • cotton pads;
  • empty chicken egg;
  • syringe.

Master class:

  • Make a paste from a glass of water and 2 tbsp. l. starch.

  • Pierce the washed egg with a syringe needle on one side and carefully remove its contents. Rinse the inside of the shell twice with water using the same syringe to prevent a rotten smell.
  • Divide the cotton wool into parts. Separately, prepare 15-20 cotton wool balls with a diameter of up to 2 cm.
  • Place the balls on toothpicks, moisten with paste and let dry.
  • Make two punctures on the side of the egg with a needle and insert the thread. The distance between the holes should be 2 cm.
  • Spread half the shell with paste and stick cotton wool on it. Do the same steps on the other side of the egg. You will get a ball of cotton wool with two threads.
  • While the cotton ball is drying, roll the pieces of cotton into four cones - these will be the legs. Paint them with black acrylic paint.
  • Make an oval 4-5 cm long from black cardboard. And also two smaller ovals - these are the ears. Immediately glue them to the sheep's head.
  • From cotton pads cut out the eyes and attach them to the head.
  • Glue the head and legs to the body using PVA. Glue it at the end cotton balls- this will be the wool of the New Year's lamb.

Package of ideas No. 1

New Year's crafts from CONES.

Here is a simple paper craft for kids on New Year– Santa Claus from a cardboard cone. It is very easy to do it yourself if an adult helps you twist and staple a cardboard bag.

Paper cone rolls up from a regular SEMI CIRCLE made of cardboard- or not even from half the circle, but from its third ( the smaller part of the circle we take under our cone bag, the thinner and more elongated the silhouette of the cone turns out).

Glued onto the finished red cardboard cone white paper overlay in the shape of a beard(triangular shape - right photo, or oval with long fringe - left photo). After gluing the beard, glue it on top oval face(add a mustache appliqué on top of the face if necessary) – draw eyes, nose, cheeks. You can glue the legs of Santa Claus to the cone.

Such New Year's crafts are convenient to do with children in kindergarten - if you prepare red cones connected with a stapler in advance. Give children decorative options, details, glue scissors and let them turn a red cardboard cone into Santa Claus.

Here are a few more design options for the same paper craft for the New Year. In the first case, the beard is one semicircular piece of paper. And in the second case, the beard is several oval layers of paper ( and each oval is shorter than the previous one) and the edges of each oval are cut into fringe strips. Come up with your own design - with your mind and imagination - and bring it to life with your own hands.

And here is a DIY version of Santa Claus, which can be folded right away of three cones.

FIRST lower red cone(this is Santa Claus’s coat) – we glue appliques of Santa Claus’s hands onto the sides of this lower red cone.

SECOND medium white cone(this is the beard of Santa Claus) – we glue a face and mustache onto it.

THIRD upper red cone(this is Santa Claus's hat)

From the same THREE cones of different sizes you can make a Christmas tree for children.

And here is Santa Claus, made of two cones - the lower COAT and the upper FACE WITH HAT.

Craft template you can copy directly from your monitor screen if you place a piece of paper directly on the screen and trace the translucent image with a pencil. To enlarge the image screen - you need to press the Ctrl button on your keyboard, and with your other hand roll the mouse wheel forward.

And if the theme of Santa Claus and his Reindeer is to your liking, then on our website there are just such heart-warming article-lessons with master classes and templates

Well, we will continue, about the topic of cone crafts. In such crafts the cone can only be the BODY of the future character- and his FACE can be inserted into the slot on the top of the cone - as was done on the New Year's snowman craft in the photo below. A good and simple craft for kindergarten classes (for secondary and senior group- children 4-6 years old).

And here is an original craft where a New Year's holiday couple is made from cones - Father Frost and Snow Maiden. Our mothers made this craft with their own hands on the forum. Very talented and skillful.

New Year's crafts made from cardboard

You can use regular school cardboard. Cut out the details of New Year's characters from different colors of cardboard and glue them together. Make a SUPPORT at the back so that the figures stand vertically. Or instead of a support You can glue a box (of tea or cookies) to the back wall, cover it with colored paper, and fill it with sweets if you wish.

The craft in the photo below has a bag of sweets glued to the back of the snowman. Due to this, the figure does not fall.

You can use patterned paper in the craft - the kind that gifts are wrapped in. This way your craft will be even more elegant - with polka dots or flower patterns, like the New Year's penguin in the photo below.

Here is a compact Santa Claus made of red cardboard. You can use formiam or hard thick felt instead of cardboard.

Here's an interesting way to make Santa Claus out of cardboard - an easy-to-make children's craft

You will find many more ideas with applique in the form of Santa Claus in a special article

You can make a three-dimensional cardboard pendant for the Christmas tree using other techniques. We form a New Year's character from cardboard and colored paper. And then we glue a belly to it, which in turn we decorate with rhinestones. A semicircular tummy can be made by cutting a foam ball in half, or make from salt dough, then bake or dry.

You will find a template for such silhouette crafts in our special article

And here is a beautiful craft for the New Year for the kindergarten - a Christmas tree made of coated white cardboard. We glue two sheets of glossy coated cardboard together. IMPORTANT!!! — glue sheets of cardboard using dry glue (glue stick, double-sided tape), without wet PVA glue, otherwise the cardboard will rise and go in waves.
You can glue two sheets, or even three.

As a result, we will get a solid plate white . We transfer the Christmas tree template onto it. Trace the template with a pencil and cut it out. We sew a fluffy green garland along the edge of the Christmas tree with thread or glue it on. We attach Christmas trees to the paws christmas balls, we hang glass beads and satin ribbons, you can decorate them in different ways, at your discretion. We fix the Christmas tree in a stand. In order for the Christmas tree to stand well, we weigh the stand with plasticine, a wooden board, or a book.

New Year's crafts FROM Ribbons.

And here are crafts made from textile ribbons. You can use stiff ribbons of coarse, dense material and force the craft to hold its shape (as is done with the flower craft in the left photo below). There, solid red beads also act as a rigid frame and hold the ribbon petals in a clear shape.

You can use a soft ribbon and string it onto a thin wooden skewer to create the silhouette of a Christmas tree. Very simple and quick craft with your own hands for the New Year.

The same idea of a Christmas tree made from ribbons can be developed and transferred to other New Year’s characters - as was done in the children’s crafts in the photo below. You yourself, with your own mind and your own hands, can create new versions of this idea - and use any creative idea from this site only as a STARTING POINT for your own AUTHOR'S IDEA.

New Year's crafts

FROM PAPER STRIPES.

And here are ideas for New Year's crafts, where the basis for creative thought is a base in the form of a ball folded from strips of paper of the same length. The balls are glued to each other - we get a base in the form of a HEAD and BODY. And then the work goes on - gluing the face, hands and other elements of personalization of the craft.

In the example below, we see that two balls make Santa Claus if you glue an applique of a beard with a face and a mustache to the front ball, glue hands in mittens and fur cuffs to the sides of the body, and crown the top of the craft with a white cotton wool pompom.

And here is an example of a children's DIY craft made from strips of paper where two balls turn into a snowman due to the eyes and nose of a carrot. Two round hands and an applique of a broom and shovel.

And a cheerful New Year's deer can be made from ONE ball. Please note that next to the deer there are flat stars - they are made according to the same principle - the strips are folded into a ball - and then flattened along the equator line of the ball.

And here is the master class itself, showing how to make such a New Year's from strips of paper volumetric ball. Strips are cut. On each of them we find the MIDDLE POINT. We thread the thread into a needle - attach a bead to the end of the threaded thread and use a needle to pierce the MIDDLE POINTS of each strip.

We push the pierced strips apart into rays different sides- and then we pierce the ends of each strip again with a needle at a height - at the top of the ball. We secure all this with a bead on the top and then all that remains is to decorate the ball for the character or craft toy we need.

Using a similar principle, we can create such a children’s craft-toy for the Christmas tree from strips of paper (as in the photo below).

And here are alternative designs of strip technology. You see penguins that are made of stripes but are connected into a ball according to a different principle.

And in the example of the polar bear from the photo below, we see that the head part of the craft can be a ping-pong ball or a foam ball. And in the middle, beads can be strung on a thread (this will make the craft look more elegant). Think with your head, dream with your soul - and do it with your own hands.

A beautiful New Year's team for a competition in kindergarten or school.

New Year's crafts

FROM ROLLS.

You can make a lot of beautiful New Year's crafts from toilet paper rolls. You can make elegant Santa Clauses like in the left photo below. Please note that the beard on this craft is made of white lace. And the cap on the head is sewn from fabric (you can use colored crumpled crepe paper).

But the snowmen (in the right photo below) - you can make headphones from fluffy wire brushes. Scarves are made from pieces of fabric, and real buttons are glued on.

But the craft is an angel. Very delicate and easy to make. We cover the roll with paint of two colors - pink gouache at the top, white at the bottom. For the wing we take lace paper napkin(in the absence of one, you can simply cut out an openwork snowflake from paper) fold it in half and glue it to the back of the angel.

The most interesting thing is the angel's hairstyle - it only looks complicated, but in fact - the upper part of the hairstyle is ordinary yellow paper circle, which are around the circumference fringed– these fringes fall to the side of the roll in the form of a circular bang. And then on the sides we add strips of paper, first we twist the lower part of each strip onto a pencil (or run a scissor blade along them so that they twist themselves into a tight curl). You will find a lot of ideas for paper angels in our article.

You can also make elegant Christmas trees and crafts from toilet rolls.

Here interesting idea round Christmas tree cut from a roll. We take the roll, flatten it into a plane, draw the legs of the Christmas tree on the sides of this plane, cut them out, and then flatten the roll back into a circle. Glue on rhinestones and a star.

Or the roll can only be used as a stand for a flat cardboard Christmas tree.

Rollo also makes excellent penguins. – the rolls must be covered with thick black gouache before making the craft. And so that during application the children’s hands do not get dirty with black paint and do not contaminate other parts of the craft, we must COVER our BLACK ROLLS with HAIR SPRAY - this will make the paint shine and stop staining your hands with black soot.

You can draw familiar features of your favorite cartoon character on rolls (as was done with the snowmen from the cartoon Frozen).

Or you can decorate the craft with additional cutting elements - as was done in the example of the deer in the right photo below. Here we cut out the crotch between the deer's legs (so that these legs, in fact, appeared). And we also cut off the upper part of the roll - leaving a tail-neck - on this bent tail we will glue the silhouette of the head.

We can come up with our own designs of familiar New Year's characters. It's so interesting to pick up a gray, unremarkable external roll-sleeve and turn it into a piece of the New Year's holiday.

But here is a children's craft made from rolls, but already cut into pieces. This can be made from ordinary flat cardboard, if you roll it into a tube using a stapler and cut it into the lengths we need. Simple and interesting volumetric craft for children for the New Year.

And also from rolls - you can fold it like this such a beauty - big christmas tree . It will look good in the office and in a kindergarten group. True, the rolls need to be assembled in advance and then painted for quite some time. There won't be enough gouache - it's better to buy a liter jar of white facade paint and a bottle of green color. Pour the color into white acrylic, stir and paint with a wide brush or sponge.

New Year's crafts

FROM BARPLE.

But here are New Year's crafts, which are made from a cheap and very convenient texture material - ROUGH BARP.

Dense burlap starches well and takes on a rigid shape. It can be painted any color and folded into the rigid shape of craft parts.

You can cut out petals from starched, dyed burlap and fold the flower. You can glue burlap onto cardboard and cut out the silhouette of an owl - add appliques of wings and eyes with a beak.

From inconspicuous-looking burlap you can make very delicate beautiful crafts for the new year. For example, this mitten has acquired a New Year's chic thanks to lace, beads, bells and pine branches.

A simple piece of gray fabric can sparkle in your imagination. And turn into a deer with twig antlers or a cute New Year's bird.

You can cut out stars from rough canvas by simply gluing them onto cardboard (as in the left photo below).

Or by folding diamond-shaped rays into modules from burlap and making a star out of them (as in the right photo below).

You can cover an ordinary toilet paper roll with a piece of burlap and decorate it with a red cardboard edging and an applique of colored paper. And we will get a cute craft-basket for the New Year tree. A simple and interesting work for a competition in kindergarten.

You can stretch burlap like a canvas onto a picture frame and draw on it New Year's picture. You can safely take such a New Year’s children’s craft to a competition at school or kindergarten. It will decorate any exhibition of New Year's children's works.

And I collected even more ideas for New Year’s paintings painted on canvas or paper in a special article

FROM BOXES

And here are crafts made from ordinary boxes. SMALL boxes of tea, cookies, toothpaste, cream, medicine are suitable. Suitable for large crafts BIG boxes from juice, shoe boxes or office paper.

A nose, a shaggy Christmas tree, ears made of colored paper, horns made of thick tree branches - and here in front of us New Year's craft deer. Or stick a nose, eyes, buttons on a box covered with white paper, tie it with a scarf and put on a hat - you get a simple snowman craft.

Using the same principle, any rectangular surface of the box can be decorated as Santa Claus, a penguin, or any New Year's character.

You can turn the box into a toy snowy house.

New Year's crafts APPLICATIONS.

And here are applique crafts for the New Year. You can make small shaped appliques on rolled cardboard - as pendant toys for the New Year tree.

The simplest applique for school or kindergarten is a snowman. But it doesn’t have to be done using traditional techniques. You can show your imagination and make a snowman from non-standard materials - gypsum plaster diluted in water, or from finely chopped crumpled paper.

Children's New Year's applique craft can be multi-layered. And it doesn’t have to be done on a rectangular sheet of paper. On the contrary, a children's craft will look more elegant if done on a round sheet of cardboard. And cover the edges of the sheet with paper lace cut from a large paper snowflake.

And here are more examples of volumetric convex applique crafts. Any character that has a muzzle or face can be made in the form of a voluminous applique if a triangular DOT is provided on the silhouette of the face. You can see these darts on the templates in the picture below.

We simply cut them with scissors (we make a cut on only one side of the dart) - and then we glue the side of the dart under the cut (hiding the dart in the gluing).

New Year's crafts NAPKIN HOLES.

But here are New Year's crafts that can decorate your festive table. The fact is that the Santa Clauses we see below are attachments for table napkins.

In the first case (in the left photo below), we make a bag out of spare paper, glue a beige face, a white mustache, and a white edging on the hat onto it (but do not make a beard). Next, we take a white napkin, fold it like a beard and put it inside the bag - part of the white napkin sticks out of the bag, reminiscent of the beard of Santa Claus.

In the second case (in the right photo below) we cut out a white circle from thick white paper (or cardboard). On the upper side of the circle we draw a face, a nose, and glue on a mustache. AND MAKE A SLIT over the straight line of the face. We fold a large red table napkin into a sharp triangle and insert the sharp end of the triangle into the slot - pull it through and get... at the top (above the slot) part of the napkin looks like a red cap... at the bottom under the beard, part of the red napkin looks like Santa Claus's fur coat.

A simple craft that your children will really like, especially since you can make several of these crafts for all the guests invited to the festive New Year's table.

And here are the napkin holders, which are made from cardboard toilet paper rolls. This is also a simple solution and a fun children’s craft for a garden or school on New Year’s Eve.

New Year's CRAFTS-WINDINGS.

And here are ideas for simple children's crafts, where a cardboard silhouette is wrapped with colored threads or thin ribbons of bright colors. So you can wrap a triangle with threads, sew a couple of rhinestones or beads on it and we will get an elegant Christmas tree craft.

You can pull the threads through the holes (punctures with a hole punch) - like in the snowflake craft from the left photo.

Or thread the threads through the slits - like on the round Christmas tree decoration crafts from the right photo below.

Any New Year's idea connect to the receiving thread winding. And get original and simple crafts for children. For example, this is implemented on crafts with a NEW YEAR'S DEER from the photo below.

The brighter and richer the color of the threads, the brighter and more festive your children's craft will be. Bright ribbons, adhesive rhinestones and stars cut out of thick foil will only add completeness to the thread craft.

And if the mother or grandmother in your family loves to crochet, then you can make crocheted New Year’s crafts - small or even large.

New Year's crafts PENDANTS.

For a competition in a garden or school, you can make a larger-scale craft. For example, a beautiful New Year's pendant.

The general meaning of such a craft is that there should be a large holding part at the top and smaller elements of the overall craft design should emanate from it on strings.

You can hang a variety of pendant crafts on a lamp or on a window ledge. Make them from openwork paper napkin for confectionery (as in the photo below) - very simple and fast.

Even from pages of scrap paper you can make bright New Year crafts and pendants. If only I had the desire and a little time. It's really not difficult. And even from the photo it’s clear how these paper modules are made and how they are assembled onto one central round piece - just with glue.

NEW YEAR'S WREATHS.

And here is one of my favorite themes for children's New Year's crafts. Children simply jump with pleasure when you offer them such a serious craft. They love the donut-shaped format and love that the result is that their work can be used as a real Christmas decoration that hangs on their family's door year after year.

In this article I will give just a few ideas to get you started. But in the future I plan to make a separate article on children’s crafts-wreaths for the New Year, and then the link will work here.

In the meantime, let's look at the basic ideas for creating the basis for New Year's wreaths. We will make the base in the form of a bagel. A standard A4 cardboard sheet will be too small in circumference. Therefore, the base for such a wreath can be cut from a large sheet of corrugated cardboard packaging - a pizza box is ideal.

If there are no large cardboard sheets (especially if you are preparing such a craft for a whole kindergarten group), then you can cut out SEMI CIRCLES separately from cardboard, and then use tape to connect them into one solid ring. So that at the place where the half rings are glued and joined the flimsy fold didn't work out we must strengthen the gluing area by slipping pieces of hard cardboard under it.

And we give this ready-made, wrapped blank to the child and let him figure out how to decorate his wreath. You can offer him templates or ready-made cut out figures and decoration options.

Or you can make pretty wreaths out of double-sided green cardstock—like these—with a bright red paper bow.

You don't have to wrap the donut base if it is completely covered with a finishing applique, as was done on the Christmas children's wreath in the photo below.

Or you can not glue the wreath ring, not wrap it, but paint it over with gouache. Dry and paste over with appliques - for example, these snowmen-snowflakes.

Also, a regular paper or plastic plate can serve as the basis for the Christmas wreath ring. We cut out the bottom from it and then decorate it according to our design plan.

Wrapping a wreath can be done quickly using thick woolen threads. Or knitted threads (from cut into strips knitted fabric. You can decorate such a wreath with natural materials, figures made of thick felt, or cardboard appliqués.

New Year's crafts made from felt.

(nice and fast).

You can make quick ones from thick felt bright crafts. Here is a snowflake candlestick, it is created from a flat sheet of felt. I adjusted the diagram below to the size of a felt sheet of 30 by 30 cm. But you can reduce the picture to a size that is convenient for you by copying it onto a sheet of Word and pulling the corners of the image.

If you buy green felt in two or three shades of green, you can quickly make a Christmas tree like this with your own hands - a craft consisting of flat pancakes, which are slightly pulled together with a needle in the center (to create a wavy surface of the disk).

That is, in the center of the round felt, draw a small circle with chalk, follow it with stitches of thread - and then tighten these circular stitches (to create a bulge in the center (like a hat with large brims). We also make disks with a tie in the center - of different sizes , alternating shades of green. And we assemble our Christmas tree like a pyramid.

New Year's crafts from PLATES.

From plastic plates you can make not only the bases for Christmas wreaths, but also any New Year characters. The round shape of the plate easily turns into the face of a snowman, deer, Santa Claus, or penguin.

You can cut the plate as you wish - to suit any of your plans. If round shape If you don’t create a New Year’s craft in your imagination, change this shape. Make a semicircle - and now the face of Father Frost with a sculpted beard appears.

Cut the circle of plates into quarters - and here they are unobtrusively folded into a Christmas tree. All that remains is to take green paint and colored beads.

You can cut a truncated trapezoid from the circle of the plate and turn it into the head of a Christmas reindeer.

New Year's crafts

from a CASE from eggs.

And here are the ideas for the most inexpensive crafts for the New Year. Ordinary paper egg cassettes. Their convex rows of cells will help give birth to many New Year's crafts. Your imagination will breathe life into these cardboard honeycombs - and bright colors will give new life old packaging.

If you work as a kindergarten teacher, then you can find this material on the first floor of the kindergarten; several large egg cassettes are thrown out in the kitchen every day. Chefs will be happy to become your regular suppliers of this creative material.

You can cut out several rows of cells at once from a cassette maker and turn them into a bright Christmas tree or a convex snowman.

You can cut out individual cell bottoms and use them to form a snowman pyramid.

You don’t have to cut the cassette box at all and make a team of New Year’s reindeer with a sleigh for Santa Claus from a whole one.

Even one small cell can become a cute little New Year's craft - a tiny mingguin or a little deer.

And so that the little ones look like solid children's work, they can be surrounded by decorations - winter surroundings. Christmas trees or ice floes, as is the case with penguins. Pieces of ice floes can be cut out of foamed plastic - such liners are in your winter boots, or they are used as pads when transporting fragile goods or technical devices. Or you can just go to a hardware store (or to the construction department of the market
a) and buy a meter of thick insulation for the walls there - it also has the same structure.

New Year's crafts

FROM PAPER FANS.

We can also make crafts from an easy-to-design material - round fans folded from paper. The simplest design is christmas tree. Here we stack the fans on top of each other in a festive pyramid - we get a Christmas tree with our own hands.

Here is a visual master class showing general principle creating all round fans. The main thing is to take a VERY LONG strip - so that its length when folded like an accordion is enough to round it.

If you don’t have such a long strip, you can fold 2 separate strips and then glue them into one common long accordion-snake.

And by the way, if you make a pattern on such an accordion on its edges - and on its tips - then when you turn the fan into a round shape, we will get an openwork snowflake. You can also make an independent New Year's craft with your own hands.

Paper fans can be used as decorative elements in the construction of multi-layer Christmas tree applique toys made of paper.

And you can also turn on your imagination and invent original New Year's voluminous applications from such paper fans.

The simplest thing that you can quickly and easily do with your own hands is a Christmas wreath craft. Just a base ring made of cardboard and a bunch of decorative fans to decorate the donut base of the wreath.

These are the ideas you found for yourself and your children today. Now the matter remains small. Evaluate the materials available at home. And get to work.

Make your own piece magical holiday- this is already a small miracle. And the New Year's spirit of happiness consists of small miracles.

Let your hands create happiness. Happiness for the next New Year.

Do you like to do handicrafts? Then you will love making Christmas tree decorations with your own hands! This is a pleasant and exciting activity for the whole family that will not leave anyone indifferent - you will spend several evenings with pleasure making Christmas tree decorations with your own hands.

What do we use for the material?

What do you need to make your own New Year's decorations? You can use almost anything you can get your hands on. If you want, you can buy special supplies (sold in craft stores), or you can use what you have in any home. So what to prepare:
  • plain paper (good for making patterns);
  • pencils and markers;
  • regular cardboard, white and colored (you can use velvet);
  • sharp scissors and a breadboard knife;
  • glue (PVA or glue gun with sticks);
  • threads and needles;
  • yarn of different shades;
  • various decorative materials- these can be sparkles, sequins, confetti, multi-colored foil, stickers and much more.
This is the basic set, but in order to make a specific Christmas tree toy, you may need something else.

Simple crafts from scrap materials

Of course, you've probably seen how New Year's balls are made from thread and glue with your own hands, but why not expand the range? We make different Christmas tree decorations with our own hands.

From yarn

This is a simple and at the same time spectacular Christmas tree decoration that can decorate any Christmas tree.

For production you will need:

  • yarn;
  • tailor's pins;
  • plate or bowl;
  • porous material (for example, a disposable tray);
  • cutting paper;
  • marker.
The threads need to be soaked in glue - the glue should saturate the yarn well, it is thanks to it that the decoration will keep its shape. While the threads absorb the glue, you need to make a template for your toy - draw what you want on paper. These could be DIY New Year's balls, strange birds or neat little houses. You can also try making a snowman, a couple of small trees and a star.

The template needs to be attached with pins (or ordinary toothpicks) to the porous material, and the design you need should be laid out on top - first the outline is laid out, then the interior decor. You should not cross the threads too often; the toy should be fairly flat. Once you are finished, dry the item and remove it from the pins and tie a loop in the eye. If desired, you can decorate with sparkles or rain.

From wire

How to make New Year's toys with your own hands in just a couple of minutes? Use wire!

To make toys you will need:

  • two types of wire - thick and thin (thin wire can be replaced with bright threads, for example, floss. Pure white strong threads look very beautiful);
  • beads, beads;
  • colored tape;
  • pliers.
In order to make figures or balls for the Christmas tree, cut several pieces from thick wire and give them the shape that your New Year's decoration will have. In our case, this is a star, but you can use any geometric shapes and simple silhouettes.

The ends of the thick wire need to be twisted. You need to string beads and seed beads mixed together on a thin wire, tie the end of the thin wire to the future Christmas tree decoration, and wrap it randomly.

When the toy is evenly wrapped, you need to wrap the free tail of the wire around the toy and tie a ribbon in the shape of a bow - your toy is ready.

Another original idea:

Made from ribbon and beads

Who said that making New Year's toys with your own hands must take a long time and painstakingly? Not at all. In just five minutes you can create one that will decorate both the New Year’s tree and the interior.

You will need:

  • beads;
  • narrow tape;
  • yellow, golden or silver cardboard;
  • glue "Second";
  • needle and thread.
We fold the ribbon like an accordion and string it on a thread, after each loop of the ribbon you need to string a bead. The more “tiers”, the smaller they are - you see, a Christmas tree is already starting to look like. When the ribbon ends, you need to tie the thread in a knot and cut out a small star from cardboard. Next, you need to glue your Christmas tree to the star, and make a loop on top so that the decoration can be easily hung.

Interior decor made in this way looks very attractive.

From cardboard - in a couple of minutes

Some New Year's toys made of paper or cardboard take a lot of time to make, but not in this case - here you really only need a couple of minutes to make an elegant hand-made New Year's decoration.

So, you will need:

  • ordinary cardboard;
  • a little twine or thick yarn;
  • glue;
  • paints and brushes;
  • napkin or cloth;
  • varied decor.
Make two figures out of cardboard, glue them together, placing a thread with a loop between them - the blank for the toy is ready.

Use a loose tail of twine to wrap the tree in different directions. After some kind of thread pattern appears on the tree, you can start gluing it with a napkin. You can tear the napkin into pieces, coat the tree well with glue, and seal it tightly with the napkin. This will give a nice texture to the future toy.

After the toy has dried, you can start painting - paint the Christmas tree in green.

After the paint layer has dried, shade the texture of the toy using a dry, hard brush and white paint, and then decorate it to your taste.

From bright shreds

Here you will need a sewing machine, but if you really want to, you can do it without it. This best way make New Year's toys from cotton wool and fabric - just choose a fabric with a Christmas ornament, or use what you have on hand.

Prepare several paper patterns - for example, deer, stars, gingerbread men, bears, letters and hearts. Cut out fabric blanks with your own hands, sew them in pairs, leaving a small gap (for stuffing), and through this small hole, tightly stuff the toys with cotton wool or padding polyester. It is most convenient to fill with a pencil.

Patterns can be downloaded here:

By the way, don’t forget - we sew on a machine from the inside, but if you decide to make toys from thick fabric with your kids, then it is better to sew them with a decorative seam over the edge - a toy with your own hands will look simply charming and will be suitable for a home Christmas tree or for a kindergarten - Usually, for kindergarten Christmas trees, children make decorations themselves.

Made from twine and cardboard

New Year's toys made of paper and cardboard will be much more interesting if you add a couple of simple materials to them. To make such a toy you will need ordinary cardboard, simple paper or natural twine, a little felt or any other fabric, as well as ordinary paper, a pencil and ruler, and a drop of glue.

The star template can be downloaded here:

First, make a pattern on plain paper, and then transfer it to cardboard. Don't forget that the star must be double. You shouldn’t make the star too thin; it’s better to make it a centimeter or more. The tail of the twine is glued to the cardboard, then you need to gradually wrap the entire workpiece.

Place the thread as tightly as possible so that there are no gaps. To decorate the star, make a couple of leaves and berries from fabric and decorate one of the rays. Your decoration is ready.

From yarn and cardboard

Do you want to make original and at the same time charming Christmas tree decorations with your own hands? Then it's time to make small gift hats with your own hands from scrap materials. This is wonderful New Year's gift, which looks cute and will keep you warm all winter long!

To make Christmas tree decorations in the form of hats, you will need:

  • a couple of toilet paper rolls (you can just glue cardboard rings together);
  • remnants of colored yarn;
  • beads and sequins for decoration.
You need to glue rings approximately 1.5-2 cm wide from cardboard. If you are using a toilet paper roll as a base, cut it into several segments of approximately the same width.

The threads need to be cut into pieces of approximately 20-22 centimeters. We fold each piece in half, pass the loop through the cardboard ring, and pull the free edges of the threads through the loop. It is necessary that the thread is firmly fixed to the cardboard base. This needs to be repeated until the cardboard base is hidden under the threads.

All the thread tails need to be pulled through the ring so that our hat has a “lapel”.

Now we pull the loose tails tightly with thread and trim them into a pom-pom shape - the hat is ready! All that remains is to make a loop and decorate your Christmas tree toy with sequins and sparkles.

From beads

Making a New Year's toy in the minimalist style is easy and simple - you will need wire, beads and seed beads, a ribbon and a coin (can be replaced with a small candy, but it looks much more impressive with a coin). Try to make this Christmas tree toy with your own hands, the master class is very simple.

Make a loop on the wire and string green beads mixed with large beads on it - they will play the role of New Year's balls on our Christmas tree. Once the wire is filled, give it a herringbone shape by folding it in a spiral.

Once your tree has taken shape, bend the free edge into a loop.

We cut off a piece of ribbon, form a loop from it for hanging and pull it through the Christmas tree, and decorate the free tail with a coin (the easiest way is to glue it with double-sided tape). We tie a decorative bow on the hanging loop - your decor is ready!

Christmas balls

How to make a New Year's ball from threads? It’s as easy as shelling pears, watch our master class on spectacular lace balls for the Christmas tree.

You will need:

  • several balloons;
  • cotton threads;
  • PVA, water and sugar;
  • scissors;
  • polymer glue;
  • spray paint;
  • decor.

First you need to inflate the balloon - not completely, but according to the size of the future decoration. Mix two tablespoons of water, two teaspoons of sugar and PVA glue (50 ml), and soak the thread in this mixture so that the thread is saturated. Then you need to wrap the ball with thread randomly. The balls need to be dried for several hours. After the glue has completely dried, you need to deflate the ball and take it out, and carefully paint the ball of thread with spray paint and decorate it with sequins and sparkles.

DIY thread Christmas balls will turn out to be very, very impressive if you make them in different tones - for example, red, silver and gold. Try making your own Christmas balls in different techniques- you can sew or knit balls, make them out of cotton wool with your own hands, or, for example, sew them out of felt - you can never have too many of these toys.

From paper

New Year's decorations made of paper are very popular among both big and small admirers of the New Year's miracle - try making paper Christmas tree balls with your own hands.

A DIY paper Christmas toy is made like this:

There is no additional need to decorate such a toy; it is already expressive.

Another ball option:

Or you can make a ball like this according to the master class:

From felt

DIY felt Christmas toys look very warm and cozy, and they are very, very easy to make. To make your own charming felt Christmas tree decorations you will need:
  • red, white and green felt;
  • red, white and green threads;
  • Crystal glue;
  • scissors and needles;
  • cardboard;
  • a little satin ribbon;
  • soft filler (cotton wool, holofiber, padding polyester).

First, make sketches for your future toys. It could be anything. Once the patterns are ready, transfer them to felt and cut them out. What is good about this material is that it does not crumble, you will not need to additionally process the edge of each workpiece.

Make identical decorative elements - for example, sprigs of holly (by the way, did you know that this is a symbol of joy and Christmas reconciliation?). The berries need to be glued to the leaf using glue, and then a decorative knot should be made - this will give the berries volume.

We sew each piece together in pairs. By the way, it is best to sew it with contrasting threads; it will be fun and elegant. How to make New Year's decorations voluminous? Stuff them with holofiber before sewing them up completely! Straighten the product well, so the Christmas tree toy will be filled more evenly. You can use the back of the pencil for stuffing.

Sew on decorative elements and your New Year's toy ready!
