How to decorate eggs with ribbons for Easter. DIY Easter decorations for the home

It is impossible to remain indifferent to Easter tradition- paint eggs. However, fashion trends make their own adjustments to such an ancient art form as “painting”. To the traditional techniques are added some that are not entirely familiar, but no less beautiful and original. And in our review - 15 unusual methods that can be adopted.

1. Black and white classics

.
The use of black, a non-traditional color for Easter eggs, gives them special attractiveness and originality. Painting with slate paint will create the effect of a blackboard on which you can draw, write wishes with chalk or a white pencil.

2. Colorful stains

This technique can be called “lazy”, or does not require outstanding talents in the field fine arts. It is enough just to dip the brush, press it to the shell and allow the watercolor paint to flow chaotically. Such patterns dry out very quickly. You can also use several colors that will gradually fade into each other.

3. Tattooed Easter eggs

This is an original idea for decoration based on stickers that are “translated” onto the skin and imitate tattoos. This method will attract and delight the child. Funny images can serve as an idea for a game. The principle of transfer is very simple, just press the sticker well, moisten it with water and make sure that the design is completely transferred to the shell.

4. Marble patterns

Such unusual way Suitable not only for manicure but also as Easter decoration. A good opportunity to give a “second life” to nail polishes, since you can use already dried ones. In order to use this method, you need to pour varnishes into a cup of water one by one and lower the empty shell into it, after securing it on a stick. This way you can remove the finished product without damage and without getting your hands dirty.

5. Embroidered shirt

You can embroider not only on fabric. This technique also uses only eggshells, so you need to prepare them first: remove the contents of the egg and let it dry from the inside. After this, the holes are carefully pierced with special tools. You can use any thread, preferably bright colors, but it is better to choose thinner ribbons. It is worth noting that this is a very painstaking work with a fragile object, and therefore requires perseverance and concentration from the person who will perform it.

6. Golden chic

Decorating Easter eggs with gold elements will add sophistication and satisfy the taste of any esthete. Gold leaf looks impressive both as a main design and as an addition to other decorations. Instead of gold plates, you can take foil, which is used in manicure.

7. “Shell on shell”

To decorate eggs using this technique, you need to prepare an empty white shell, pre-painted. Glue pieces of colored shell onto the white egg, leaving small spaces between them. The resulting mosaic will look great, both monochromatic and multi-colored.

8. A series of colorful characters

From a huge number of drawn characters, you can choose your favorite ones and create colorful ones. easter eggs. Acrylic paints or gouache are used to paint them. You can create a 3D effect by adding paper elements. Undoubtedly, it is worth involving children in the production, allowing them to show their imagination and the opportunity to create their own character.

9. Decoupage technique

A quick and easy way to decorate. It is perfect for those who have little time and cannot spend a long time fiddling around with decorating eggs. The principle is simple: pieces of napkin with a pattern you like are carefully glued to the shell, all wrinkles and irregularities are straightened out. And to consolidate the result, the “pattern” is covered with glue or varnish.

10. "Quilling"

First you need to familiarize yourself with the features of this technology. Strips of paper are twisted and formed into certain patterns, then all the elements are glued together. In this way, you can decorate natural eggs by gluing the shells or create decorative masterpieces.

11. Dinosaur eggs

Original idea creating dinosaur eggs or mythical dragons.
First option: dip the overcooked egg into the dye. Through cracks in the shell, paint will seep inside, creating a kind of mesh.

Another option: paste sequins or other available materials over the shell, creating a semblance of scales. Lovers of huge reptiles and Jurassic Park fans will love these Easter eggs.

12. Winding threads

This unusual technique involves using floss, iris and other silk or cotton threads for sewing or knitting. Can be wound different colors(gluing the threads in a chaotic manner or laying the turns evenly and tightly) first, securing the end on top with a pin or tape. At the end, the “ball” should be greased with glue and allowed to dry. You can complement the result by sprinkling with beads or glitter.

13. The beauty of cereals

Since ancient times, cereals have been used to decorate Easter eggs, representing symbols of fertility and prosperity. The combination of different seeds always creates an interesting composition. And an additional decorative element can be pasta of various shapes, painted with gold or silver paints.

14. Space decor

It is worth highlighting the unusual way of coloring “space” eggs. This technique attracts attention and takes away from the canons of traditional painting. Creating them is very simple, just take a few dyes and soak a napkin with them, wrap them and leave them for four hours. Adding fluorescent paints will enhance the futuristic effect, allowing the pysanka to glow in the dark.

15. Silk tenderness

Since silk conveys its color perfectly, it is impossible not to use this to create an interesting coloring. You can use old ties as the main material, neckerchiefs or just individual pieces of fabric. Eggs wrapped in silk and topped with a piece of white cloth are immersed in boiling water with vinegar. Thus, a pattern will be imprinted on the shell, which can be supplemented, for example, by gluing beads, beads, lace, or paper butterflies. It is better to choose a brighter fabric, since the finished pattern will turn out somewhat dull.

Easter is a bright holiday that is usually celebrated with family, and preparation for it unites entire generations. The format of the meeting may change, but the Easter cake and Easter eggs on the holiday table remain unchanged. The art of coloring eggs has its roots deep in ancient centuries, but even today it does not lose its relevance; new, modern methods are emerging. Long-forgotten techniques are being revived, and new ones are being improved. The artist under the pseudonym Eggdoodler surprises with his filigree carving works.

Nowadays, colored eggs not only decorate the festive Easter table. They are also given to friends, acquaintances and relatives throughout Easter week. According to the Orthodox custom of painting and painting, eggs need to be decorated on Maundy Thursday. Of all the known methods of painting and decorating eggs, we have chosen the most original and interesting ones.

Before you start painting the Easter egg, you need to paint it in any traditional way, of which there are quite a few. They paint eggs in onion skins, food coloring, acrylic paints, fabric, green paint, beets, and so on.

Everyone has their own recipes and skills on how to paint eggs for Easter. There are conventional ways of decorating, and there are quite original ones.

Such an interesting decoration of the testicles is possible after coloring. We will paint in two ways: using food coloring and onion skins. In order for the eggs to turn out well and equally colored, they need to be washed well. Read about the method of painting with food coloring on the Easter set pack.

We will focus on the method of coloring with onion peels:

  • We collect onion peels, the more peels, the darker the color.
  • Pour water into a bowl, add the husks, and cook for 40-45 minutes over low heat.
  • Cool the resulting paint and strain through a sieve.
  • Add 0.5 tablespoons of salt, 0.5 tbsp. spoons of vinegar, add eggs, bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes. Take it out and dry it on a napkin.

We will get fabulously beautiful eggs if we decorate them with our own hands using wax.

To work you will need:

  1. Wax crayons (sold at a stationery store), paraffin candles.
  2. Copper wire and pencil.
  3. Metal spoon.

Take a piece of copper wire (copper retains temperature for a long time). Keep in mind that the tip of the wire should be similar to the head of a pin, it will be more convenient for drawing. If there is no copper, use a simple pin, needle, or crochet hook. We insert the metal into a pencil to create a convenient tool for drawing with wax.

Melt the wax for work: Place a small piece of chalk and a little candle wax in the middle of a tablespoon. Light a candle and hold a spoon over the flame. Can be replaced with a water bath. Heat to 65 degrees. The wax should not boil.

When the wax and crayon in the spoon heat up and melt, mix them thoroughly until smooth. We draw patterns with hot wax, apply strokes quickly so that the wax does not have time to harden. Stir the wax periodically.

The egg for decorating with wax should be at room temperature, not cold.

In order to better understand the painting technology, watch the video, it has a very clear master class:

This master class also involves wax painting, but the technology is slightly different: the egg is first painted and then boiled:

Easter eggs made from material such as beads are very beautiful and memorable gift to this happy holiday like Easter. For this work we will need a wooden or simple blown egg. How to make the base:

To do this, use a sharp needle or awl to make two holes in the shell opposite each other and blow the contents into a cup. Cover the shell with 4-5 layers of white napkin, coating it with PVA glue. Let the product dry and you will have a great, durable base for decoration.

We will decorate our egg with simple, uncomplicated beading. Even a beginner can cope with the job.

To work you will need:

  1. Egg blank 6-8 cm high, 9-9.5 cm in diameter.
  2. Beads (Czech number 11 or Chinese), white, red, green, gold, blue.
  3. Beading needle.
  4. Nylon thread.
  5. Wax (rubbed thread is less tangled).

First we will weave a beaded belt, then weave the tops. Here is diagram 1 of weaving a belt. Rapport (basic, repeating element of the pattern) is repeated depending on the volume of the workpiece. For example, 4 times with a volume of 9 cm.

We secure the very first bead by threading a needle and nylon thread into it 3 times.

This is how beautiful it turns out:

Then, we connect the belt according to scheme 2, where the number 1 indicates the first bead in the belt:

You will get a belt like this:

Now our task is to weave the tops. It's better to start from the bottom. Diagram 3 clearly shows how this is done.

To prevent the belt from dangling on the workpiece, you need to make a row at the top and bottom.

We begin to braid the crown:

Let's see how to finish a row and where the needle comes out for the next one.

Here the top of the head should be reduced, two rows of gold beads should be collected, 2 beads each, and then only 1.

Finishing the bottom crown.

We do the top crown in the same way.

So the gift for Easter is ready.

You can decorate eggs for Easter using the decoupage technique. The work is not difficult, even a child can handle it. We will make decoupage using starch.

To work you will need:

  1. White boiled eggs.
  2. Brush.
  3. Napkins.
  4. Food starch.
  5. Food dyes.

We will need napkins with a small pattern, for example, with roses. You need to remove the 2 bottom layers of napkins and leave one with a pattern. We cut out the drawings not exactly along the contour, but with an allowance. You can cut it out, or you can just tear it with your hands, whichever you prefer.

Using a brush and water, distribute parts of the napkins over the surface of the workpiece. Try to ensure that all small wrinkles are smoothed out.

Make a paste from starch. You need to cook it in the same way as wallpaper paste. We don't need a lot of glue, take 3 teaspoons of starch (corn or potato) and half a glass of hot water. The water should be hot, but not boiling water, 80 degrees. Pour the starch into the water and mix thoroughly with a spoon so that there are no lumps. Let cool to room temperature. The paste is ready. Coat the eggs and wait until they dry.

After the testicles are dry, apply one last coat, adding food coloring to the paste. It is better to dry all this beauty on a wire rack. This decoration is safe, because we did not use any chemicals.

This is an interesting Rooster egg you can knit with your own hands and give as a gift or decorate your Easter table.

To work you will need:

  1. A plastic egg from children's toys (put some small items inside for weight). If you don't have a large container, take one from Kinder Surprise.
  2. Hook.
  3. 2 rhinestones for the eyes (you can use simple beads).
  4. A little yellow, red, green yarn.

We crochet 6 loops and connect them into a ring. Next, we knit in a circle, adding loops to the diameter we need, which is equal to our container.

Then we knit a circle. We knit to the middle of the container.

We tie our container, gradually decreasing the loops. We reduce the top of the head. Next, we knit a comb on the head. To do this, fasten the red thread and cast on 8 loops at the crown.

We mark the place of the cockerel's beak.

We marked the place of the cockerel's beak and use red thread to cast on several loops so that the circle is at least 1 cm in diameter. We knit in the round.

Work progress

We wrap a wooden egg (height 12 cm) with beads on a thread. To do this, lubricate the surface of the egg with glue and lay the thread in turns (gird it), leaving no free spaces. And so the whole egg. You can alternate turns with a decorative twisted cord. I have 3 mm cream beads.

Let's start decorating the resulting egg. It all depends on your imagination.

We wrap metallic lace braid around the egg in height and glue it.

We glue a decorative twisted cord in silver next to the lace braid. Leave the end of the cord unglued for now.

We cut off the wire from the white stamen twig to which it is attached. We don't need her. Glue this branch onto the egg on the left side, just above the middle. And under these stamens we glue another twisted silver cord. We also leave the end of the cord unglued for now. We glue a pink latex rose onto the stamens and then 4 more roses side by side, in any order. I have two roses 2 cm, 3 roses 1.5 cm.

Between big roses(line in the photo below) glue the stamens. The branches are easily disassembled and you get two stamens on a thread. We also glue the ends of the cord. We glue the lower end to the upper branch-stamen, and fix the upper end from the stamens in the lower part of the egg.

This is a side view, on the left side, of the stamens between two large roses.

This is a side view on the right side, the stamens are between two small (1.5 cm) roses, glued in a downward direction (the line in the photo below).

You can place the stamens at your discretion, anywhere. You can add some green leaves. And on back side From silver braid we glue the letters “ХВ” (Christ is Risen).

Let's start decorating the wooden stand. It can be painted with silver nail polish. I painted it with silver paint.

Let's add a little decor. We decorate the narrowest part of the stand with beads on a thread. We wrap a twisted silver cord around the bottom base of the stand and glue large mother-of-pearl beads. The stand is ready.

The second option for decorating an Easter egg.
This egg is 9 cm high, covered with bright pink nail polish.

Using a twisted silver cord, wrap the egg around in height. Glue it on both sides of this cord decorative tape"Flower" on a thread.

Glue the lace decor to the bottom of the egg on the front and back sides.

We also decorate the middle of the egg in height with “Flower” braid.

Wake up, mountains, valleys, rivers!
Praise the Lord from heaven!
Death is conquered by Him forever,
Wake up, you too, green forest.
Snowdrop, silver lily of the valley,
Violet, bloom again,
And send up a fragrant hymn
To the One Whose commandment is love!
Princess E. Gorchakova.

Easter eggs have long become a symbol of this wonderful religious holiday, and it is impossible to imagine a holiday table without them. Many housewives show a fair amount of imagination in decorating them, and now there are several dozen ways to make this holiday attribute creative. How to decorate eggs for Easter with your own hands, and what nuances should be taken into account?

Interpretation of patterns and colors when decorating

In ancient times, not every color could be used to decorate a holiday treat. For example, black was considered a shade of sorrow, and if the housewife painted eggs with it, she needed to apply a bright design on top of it. Otherwise, the design directly contradicted the bright holiday of Easter.

What colors can be safely used for decoration, and what do they mean?

  1. White color was considered noble and signified a person’s destiny, which is lined up in the sky.
  2. Cherry blossom was considered a symbol of new life, so paintings for children were done against this background.
  3. The color brown was associated with the earth and foreshadowed fertility.
  4. Also, the color yellow was often used for decoration, representing the sun and heavenly blessing.

There were also auspicious designs for decorating Easter eggs. Their use could bring success and financial profit to the family.

  • If the housewife wanted to color eggs for Easter brown, then she could use various images of berries (a symbol of fertility) as a design.
  • Also, eggs were often decorated with images of doves, which signified the human soul and its freedom.
  • If a girl wanted to quickly find her betrothed, she decorated Easter eggs with flowers, which symbolized the girl’s purity.

Now all these traditions and symbols have already been forgotten, and people decorate Easter eggs with the most in different ways, almost without thinking about what this or that drawing means. Dyeing eggs for Easter has long become a tradition, and not some kind of magical rite, but even here you should show your imagination so that the decor is extremely original.

The most popular dyeing methods

You can decorate an egg beautifully without having to special effort. The most basic way of painting is using onion peels.

Step by step instructions:

  1. The housewife needs to boil the onion skins in a vat of water for an hour. The eggs should lie on the table all this time, because when warmed to room temperature, they will definitely not burst and will retain their attractiveness.
  2. Next, remove the onion skins by dipping the eggs into the pan. To make the shell better absorb the onion solution, rub the eggs with vinegar before immersing them in water.
  3. Now all that remains is to cook them over low heat for 20 minutes. This method of staining was widely used a couple of centuries ago, and now the procedure has remained virtually unchanged.

Decorating Easter eggs is an art, and more and more housewives are abandoning the standard coloring with onion peels, since there is no element of creativity in it.

You can create a fancy drawing using a well-known technique in the following ways:

  • To make the design more original, after a vat of onion skins, the eggs should be dipped into a container with a few drops of brilliant green;
  • Before lowering the Easter symbols into the water, you need to wrap several sprigs of dill around the eggs with a bandage so that you end up with interesting drawing in the form of a pattern left from a plant;
  • Before putting the eggs in the water, you should wrap several threads around them to make the pattern uneven and creative.

At first glance, this technique of decorating Easter eggs is extremely simple, but the resulting effect can pleasantly surprise you. Instead of a boring brownish color, onion skins can give creative coloring with a variety of patterns or even a combination of several colors.

  • By the way, dyeing with brilliant green is also very popular. To carry it out, add 7-8 drops of brilliant green to the water, then lower the eggs into it. The more dye a person adds, the brighter and more spectacular the color will be.
  • To obtain a pleasant purple color, experts recommend using beetroot broth. To do this, you need to boil 2-3 beets for half an hour in boiling water, and then add Easter symbols to this water.

Methods for coloring Easter eggs almost always involve the use of natural dyes. They definitely won’t harm your health, and the resulting color will not disappoint in terms of its brightness.

Decorating with napkins and wax

How to decorate Easter eggs with napkins? It's pretty popular question, to which there is a simple and prosaic answer.

A beautiful design from a napkin can be easily transferred to an Easter symbol. So, how is this decoration done:

  1. The area where the napkin will be used is covered with white paint and left until completely dry.
  2. Next, PVA glue is applied to the same area.
  3. It should be fixed on top of the glue. beautiful drawing from a napkin.
  4. As soon as the image dries, it must be coated on top with a simple colorless varnish.

This decoration option is good for several reasons:

  • First of all, it is simply simple.
  • Secondly, with its help you can create a very unusual and whimsical decor. You can cut out images of birds, plants and flowers from napkins.

For example:

  1. After standard staining with onion peels, you can stick tiny pieces of napkins to some areas for a couple of minutes.
  2. After two to three minutes, these napkins should be removed.
  3. As a result, small patches of color will remain on the surface of the egg. Using the resulting effect, you can create the most bizarre and unusual designs.

An extremely popular method of coloring is using wax. Here are the following steps:

  1. First, the symbol of celebration should be painted in one color, preferably choosing a light, bright shade.
  2. Then, using melted wax, apply tiny dots or lines on the eggs.
  3. Now all that remains is to lower the eggs into a vat with another coloring liquid so that a contrasting color appears in place of the dots.
  4. After this, all that remains is to remove the wax, and the creative design is ready.

This option for decorating Easter eggs is suitable for those housewives who do not want to complicate their life too much with design. The procedure itself takes no more than half an hour, and the resulting effect will be pleasant to admire later.

Egg coloring options - simple and creative

Options for painting Easter eggs often involve applying a design, and this can be done in a variety of ways. If the housewife does not want to apply the image using napkins, as described above, then she can create a creative design using acrylic paints.

Using them, you can create the most different options decor. You shouldn’t limit yourself to standard symbols like a cross or the letters “ХВ”, because a variety of flowers and leaves look much more creative.

If a person does not know how to draw well, but still wants to put an original design on the surface, he should use the gifts of nature. So, for example:

You can use a variety of drawings for coloring, ranging from abstract symbols to natural motifs. Since Easter always falls in the last months of spring, natural motifs will be most relevant as a symbol of awakening nature.

Original decoration of Easter eggs using colorful designs can be achieved if a person uses special dyes of different shades, sold in stores on the eve of the holiday. With their help, you can create the most original designs by experimenting with colors and mixing them in a variety of ways.

Decorating the Easter symbol with beads and newspapers

Ideas for decorating Easter eggs are not limited to drawings and using onion skins. Nowadays people with imagination take the decorating process very seriously, literally using everything they can get their hands on.

There are a variety of ways to decorate Easter eggs with beads, and here are just a few of them:

  • you can make a kind of braid for an egg from beads by tying a small belt using fishing line;
  • you can also place beads on PVA glue, creating fancy designs all over the surface of the holiday symbol;
  • With the help of several beads you can decorate designs, indicating, for example, the eyes of an animal or emphasizing some details of flowers.

Of course, working with beads can seem extremely tedious, but the resulting decor is simply unforgettable. Using this technique you can decorate a wooden Easter egg. Based on the size of the egg, you can weave a single design for it using beads and fishing line. Such a braid will be put on a wooden egg, like a caftan, decorating it from all sides.

How to decorate a wooden egg using paints? Here a person can show his full imagination, using any drawings and the most unusual decorative elements. Drawing on wood is quite simple, but after finishing the procedure it is worth varnishing the craft to make the resulting image look more interesting.

If a person is wondering how to decorate eggs for children, then the method of working with beads will also suit him. The drawings usually turn out very bright, and that’s why kids like them.

By the way, lovers of everything original will be delighted with the way of creatively decorating a holiday symbol using newspapers:

  1. To do this, you need to cover the entire surface of the egg with PVA glue.
  2. Next, carefully apply the newspaper, enveloping the holiday symbol like a cocoon.
  3. Once the newspaper is dry, you can decorate it with a wide variety of colors. After the paint has dried, all that remains is to coat the product with varnish.

This design looks extremely creative and is unlikely to leave anyone indifferent. In addition, it is easy to implement, which means a person can cope with the decor in a matter of minutes.

Decorating with threads and grains

Decorating Easter eggs with threads is one of the most popular decorative options. It was already mentioned above that you can wrap the eggs with threads before painting to make the color uneven and the whole design more interesting.

Interesting painting of eggs or decorating them with a variety of objects are great ways to show your imagination. On the eve of Easter, you can decorate the symbols of the holiday with the whole family, coming up with your own decor options. The most important thing here is not to overdo it with decorating eggs, because it is important that the Easter symbol is not only elegant, but also edible.

The tradition of painting Easter eggs with your own hands has a centuries-old history. According to legend, Mary Magdalene, having learned about the resurrection of Christ, appeared in Rome to Emperor Tiberius. According to tradition, the emperor was supposed to give gifts, but since Mary Magdalene had nothing but faith in Jesus, she presented him with an egg with the words “Christ is Risen.”

Be sure to check out these recipes:

The emperor considered that a miraculous resurrection was as impossible as turning a white egg into a red one, but before he could finish his sentence, the egg turned bright red. Since then, the egg has been considered a symbol of the miraculous ascension of Christ to heaven, and with it purification.

At Easter, most Russians paint Easter eggs burgundy by boiling them in onion skins. This is the least expensive and easiest way to follow traditions. But to approach this matter more creatively, many people make a herbarium of leaves and plants in advance. And someone has already grown fresh herbs. Let's see how all this can be used to paint Easter eggs with your own hands.

Beautiful DIY Easter eggs

Painted Easter eggs with onion peels with ornament

There is nothing complicated here. Prepare some greenery, leaves, grass, and even something you carved yourself for the ornament. Nylon tights that you don’t wear but wanted to throw away, and a thin rope, or vice versa, a thick thread.

We will glue the leaves and other things to the eggs using paste to make sure they don’t move. This is a universal paste recipe that will come in handy when decorating Easter eggs with your own hands and in other ways.

Preparation of paste: For one glass of water, take one heaped teaspoon of starch. Dissolve the starch in a small amount of cold water and pour a glass of boiling water in a stream, stirring all the time. Starch from white should turn clear and thicken. You can put it on the stove and boil for a couple of minutes.

The paste is ready, it will cool down and you can use it. Starch is a food product; jelly and much more are made from it. Therefore, when using starch paste when decorating Easter eggs, do not be afraid of anything, feel free to use it. Next, when decorating the eggs, where the words will be used: glue, glue, grease with glue. So keep in mind that paste is used here.

I'll give you one more hint: Well, you don’t have starch, or you just don’t want to mess with it, you can lubricate the surface with egg white and glue what you want. But, in this case, your art may come off faster. Because the protein solidifies into a film. In a word, it’s up to you to choose how to glue decorations onto Easter eggs with your own hands.

To color eggs in onion peels with ornaments, we naturally take the onion peel itself and a saucepan. Place the husks in it and fill it with cold water. To boil eggs, it is advisable to salt the water, since it is impossible to see microcracks on the eggs. Such eggs will simply leak out when boiled, but this will not happen in salt water.

Remove the eggs for coloring and boiling from the refrigerator in advance so that they warm up to room temperature. Take an egg, stick a leaf on it, or whatever you have prepared. We cut off a piece of nylon (tights), carefully wrap the egg with the leaf so that it does not wrinkle, and tie it with thread.

We do this with all the eggs, put them in a saucepan and cook as usual for no more than 10 minutes. I cook for 5-7 minutes, then turn it off and leave the eggs in the husk (they will reach it) so that they gain more color. Then we take it out, remove the stocking, wash the eggs and dry them. They are all ready!

By the way, this same process can be done with food coloring. Just the eggs should already be boiled, don’t forget about it.

Coloring Easter eggs with stains and varying intensities

I think this process of coloring eggs is not difficult, but a little more labor-intensive. First boil the eggs. While they are boiling, we dilute different dyes, in different containers, of course. Place boiled eggs in dyes and color them to the color you want.

Take it out and dry it. And add a teaspoon of vegetable oil to the container with the dyes. Again, release the eggs into the dye with the addition of oil. We take it out and blot it paper napkins and at this moment beautiful and unusual stains appear on the eggs.

Another way to color Easter eggs, where the colors will be of different intensities. In containers (preferably in glasses), we dilute food coloring, and add very little water, to begin with. Let go of the boiled egg; only the bottom should be hidden.

Then, as the eggs color, add water all the time. And you get very beautiful stripes, different in color.

And now for those who want to approach the process more creatively, I offer several ideas for decorating Easter eggs with your own hands. To do this, of course, you need to go to the nearest store to purchase what you need. Oh, we'll look for something at home.

Let's go buy paints, brushes, colored paper, permanent markers, multi-colored beads, culinary sprinkles (if you haven’t already bought them for Easter cakes). Various interesting stickers for Easter eggs (in the form of eyes, smiles, different faces), multi-colored napkins, colored threads, elastic bands of different widths, tape (if you don’t have it), gold foil.

Decorating Easter eggs using decoupage

For work, as you understand, we will need: hard-boiled eggs (it is highly desirable that they do not crack, since an egg with cracks, you see, somewhat worsens appearance products). Well, we start creating with decoupage. What is decoupage, I think there is no need to explain?

We take the multi-colored napkins we bought, cut out the designs we like and glue them onto the eggs using paste. Here we give free rein to our imagination and create for our own pleasure. Look how beautiful Easter eggs made with your own hands using decoupage look.

To make the napkin hold tighter, you can coat the egg with varnish. But if you eat it, you don’t need to do this. Just keep in mind for the future, if you want to give someone a gift, you can apply clear varnish to the glued napkin.

DIY Easter eggs

This type of art on Easter eggs is suitable for those who love and know how to draw. On the painted egg, first we apply a drawing with a pencil (the subject of the drawing is any), then we take a very thin brush and outline it with paints. Let it dry. And to fix the picture, you can coat it with varnish.

Drawing on Easter eggs with a permanent marker

This type of egg decoration is also more suitable for people who know how to draw. And, I’ll tell you this, it’s not necessary to draw some simple patterns. Draw what you want, the main thing is that you like it.

DIY Easter eggs with patina and gold

Making golden eggs is not difficult. Dilute gold food coloring in water and dip boiled eggs in it. I just think that golden eggs should definitely be on the Easter table. Just like in a fairy tale, the hen laid not an ordinary egg, but a golden one...

To create a patina, boiled eggs are first painted with colored dyes. Then we grease it with paste and wrap it tightly in gold foil. Once dry, unwrap it and rub it over the egg with a brush or nail file, revealing the underlying color in places. It turns out a very beautiful color.

Coloring Easter eggs in an interesting pattern

This will require silk material, or an unnecessary tie that your husband no longer wears and you are about to throw away. Don't rush! This tie will turn Easter eggs into a real masterpiece. Cut the tie into strips, wrap the egg in the front side, and tie. Place to boil in water with vinegar added.

Cool, untie and you will get this beauty.

Coloring Easter eggs with glitter

Sprinkle glitter on newspaper. Spread the boiled egg with paste and roll in glitter, let dry. And, if you wish, you can draw pictures and sprinkle them with glitter. It looks very nice.

Dyeing Easter eggs using lace

We wrap the boiled egg in lace fabric, tie it, let it soak in dye, take it out, wash it, and dry it.

Easy dyeing of Easter eggs with colored threads

It's quite simple here. Carefully wrap multi-colored threads around the eggs, tie the ends, and boil the eggs in water with the addition of vinegar. Then remove everything, wash the eggs, dry and you're done.

DIY Easter egg coloring using tape

Not either difficult option coloring eggs. With your imagination, everything can be done wonderfully. Cut out squares and strips of different lengths and widths from tape, stick them on the eggs as you like and cook in the husks. Or release it into dyes. In this case, you can make multi-colored eggs by changing the shape of the tape and releasing the egg into a different dye. It will be bright, beautiful and interesting!

Color Easter eggs using rubber bands

Wrap a boiled egg in rubber bands, of varying thicknesses, and let them soak in dye. Then remove the rubber bands, rinse and dry. It turns out not bad.

Do-it-yourself marbled Easter eggs painting

Here, we will not paint the shell, but the egg itself. So if you have eggs that cracked while boiling, don't despair. Now we will color them. Break the shell with a spoon and pour in strong tea leaves or soy sauce. Let it sit for a while, then peel it, and... voila, you have a marbled and very beautiful egg.

We decorate Easter eggs with our own hands with beads

Pour the beads onto a plate or paper. Lubricate the boiled egg with paste and roll the eggs in beads, let them dry. They look very nice.

Decorating Easter eggs with DIY sprinkles

This is the same as in the previous two options. Pour the culinary topping into bowls, coat the eggs with paste, roll in, and let dry. It’s not difficult, but the eggs look very rich and beautiful.

Decorating Easter eggs with seeds and cereals

This is also a very original way to decorate eggs. You will need whatever cereal you have, peas, rice, lentils, beans, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, maybe sesame seeds, vermicelli flowers, etc.

Grease the boiled egg with paste and lay out any ornament from cereals and seeds. Let dry. The results are very original, interesting and beautiful eggs. See for yourself.

By the way, eggs can even be colored with colored sugar. The technique is the same as for beads or culinary sprinkles, just coat a boiled egg with paste and roll it in colored sugar. Simple, fast and beautiful!

How to make colored sugar: Take a thick plastic bag or jar, pour sugar into it, add a drop of dye and shake until all the sand becomes the same color. That's it! And, this sugar can also be used to decorate confectionery products. For example, whipping cream with colored sugar will be beautiful and festive.

Decorate Easter eggs with your own hands using mosaics

The decorating process is not quick or creative, but it is worth it. The eggs turn out amazing. Here you will need eggshells and definitely multi-colored ones. We lay out different, beautiful ornaments from shells of a different color on the painted eggs. Look what beauty you can make. Glue with paste.

Making DIY crafts from Easter eggs

For such crafts, I suggest inviting children and grandchildren to help you, let them help you with their participation. I think they will agree with great pleasure. Boil and color the eggs, prepare everything you need, various stickers, scissors, markers, pencils, colored paper, paste, and let's get started.

We make colorful bunnies. We cut out ears from colored paper, glue or draw them, eyes, a nose, a mouth. Naughty bunnies, ready!

Cute faces with eye and mouth stickers peeking out from the egg cup.

The same cute ones, but you can draw eyes and a mouth.

For these individuals, stickers are used in folk style. Cute.

And these cute little animals are made and glued from colored paper. The eyes are drawn.

I think your children and grandchildren will be very pleased with their results. Of course, this is not everything you can think of to decorate eggs with your own hands. But still, quite a lot of ideas. Take, use, decorate eggs, give joy and kindness to your loved ones.

Well, to end my article, I would like to provide a few photographs of natural dyes. This is just in case, so that, as they say, it happens. And for those people who use nothing but natural products to decorate Easter eggs with their own hands. Christ is risen!
