How to eliminate the consequences of unsuccessful dyeing?

The easiest way to return to the previous shade after dyeing is to contact a qualified specialist. However, this is not always possible: high prices, the master’s busy schedule, his absence, or mismatched schedules. As a result, you have to try to cope on your own. In fact, there are many ways, but not all of them are quick response.

Oil masks

The simplest, safest and, unfortunately, long-term method washing out the color you don’t like.

Oil dissolves any chemical pigment, as a result of which the consequences of recent staining are eliminated in a short time, but if the procedure took place at least a week ago, you will have to work hard.

A definite advantage is that the oil will nourish the curls, so at the same time you will strengthen them and make them smoother. The oil must be applied so that roots were not touched, and it is advisable to leave it for 2-3 hours, under a towel or hat, to maintain moisture and warmth. Before applying it, it is advisable to heat it to a comfortable temperature for the skin.

Deep cleansing shampoos

They can wash almost everything, but it is not advisable to use them more than 2 times a month, since they open the hair cuticle(due to which the pigment is removed), they make it brittle and dry. For this reason, after such a shampoo, be sure to apply a nourishing mask: either homemade or store-bought. Separately, it is worth saying that hot water will enhance the results of the shampoo in terms of destroying the dye.

Works exactly the same as deep cleansing shampoo, and is no less drying, so use it not recommended resort to the owners thin and brittle hair. And after that, it is also necessary to use a good nourishing mask, with which it is advisable to sit for 15-20 minutes.

Masks based on kefir, honey, lemon, cognac, salt and soda

The recipes are presented below, each of them has its own characteristics, but for the most part, such masks not only allow you to return the natural shade, but also restore dead curls, so they will definitely only be beneficial.

It is recommended to make masks up to 2 times a week and be sure to alternate. For example, if the first one was honey, let it be followed by salt, then kefir, etc. This will not only allow you to maintain a balance between the components entering deep into the hair, but also maintain the effect of surprise, since the pH will constantly change.

In most cases, after these steps you will have to tint, since washing out the pigment does not mean that the canvas will have a uniform color. To tint, it’s not enough to just choose a tube of paint with the shade you like: if you want to return a natural color identical to the original base, you’ll need to understand which tonal nuances predominate and need to be covered.

Based on this, they select proofreaders- opposite in shade to those pigments that are being eliminated. To avoid a new mistake, it is better to entrust this procedure to a specialist.

Restoring natural hair color using folk remedies

A gentle option for removing unwanted pigment involves permanent masks that need to be kept on the head at least 2 hours, because otherwise there will be no washing effect. It is also recommended to create additional warmth with a towel, hat or even a hairdryer. However, the latter should not work for more than 20 minutes, so as not to overheat the head.

The following recipes are considered the most successful:

  • A combination of salt and soda in a ratio of 1:10 or 1:15, dissolved in a minimum amount of warm water until a thick consistency is formed.
  • Egg yolk (1 pc.) and olive or peach oil (2 tbsp.), distributed along the entire length.
  • Kefir (200 ml) and cognac (1 tsp), shaken until smooth.

You can restore your natural shade after unsuccessful dyeing within 48 hours using the following recipe:

  • 20 ml calendula tincture, 10 ml glycerin, 100 ml kefir or full-fat sour cream, 1 tbsp. liquid honey and 2 tbsp. olive oil. The resulting mixture must be heated so that all components turn into a homogeneous consistency, then cool to a comfortable temperature and apply to the length of the hair. A plastic bag and a warm towel are required on top. The exposure time is at least 2-3 hours. You should prepare for the mixture to flow onto your neck.

This mask has little effect on long-standing staining, with approximately the same result as previous recipes, but on fresh staining it allows wash up to 70% pigment. As a result, all that remains is to apply gentle oil washes a few more times over 1.5-2 weeks and protonate the hair, if necessary, to its original shade.

This technique is relevant for girls who decided to radically lower the base (darkening), but then decided that their native light shade was much more attractive.

It is important to understand here that it is impossible to lighten a painted canvas, especially at home, and you will first have to wash off most of the pigment, and only then add a new one.

This can be done for a long time and persistently according to the above scheme of shampoos and masks, or you can turn to a very aggressive drug - a wash.

Most famous paint liquidators- Estel Color Off, L’OREAL Eclair Clair and Kapous Decoxon. You can buy them at any hairdressing store.

For home use, such a preparation is a little more complicated than professional paint: it usually consists of 2-3 tubes intended for different stages. The liquids are mixed in certain proportions specified in the instructions, after which the resulting mixture is applied to the hair. The head is covered with cellophane, warmed up, and after 20-30 minutes. (approximate exposure time varies depending on the manufacturer) the product is removed with warm water.

After using the remover, the hair fiber usually has a bright red tint, which indicates that the bulk of the pigment has been eliminated. Considering that the cuticle remains open, it needs to be sealed: either simply with a good nourishing mask, or with subsequent toning.

You should know that after rinsing the hair is not dyed, but just tinting, if 1-2 more procedures of the same pigment removal are not required. This requirement is explained by the detrimental effect of the drug on curls.

It is better to entrust tinting (as well as washing) to professionals, but if you decide to do it yourself, get ready for the fact that you will need not only a dye of the main color, but also mixtons.

Mixtons are special correctors that eliminate unwanted color nuances: in the case of a wash, red, red and yellow, which immediately come out during this procedure.

  • Mixton is not used in the same volume as the main dye: its amount is calculated in relation to the amount of tinting. The basic rule is to use a “12-base” cm corrector for 120 ml of mixture (60 ml oxide, 60 ml cream-color). The base is determined by the number to the left of the dot on the package. For example, for natural light brown (7.0) requires 12-7 = 5 cm of corrector in 120 ml of the finished mixture.
  • The tint is applied and cured according to the same rules as regular dye: on dry or slightly damp hair, evenly distributing (you can use a fine-tooth comb for this) from roots to ends. It is impossible to cover your head, just as it is undesirable to apply heat to it. It is recommended to wash off the tint with shampoo once, after which the curls must be nourish with a good mask. Two chemical treatments with minimal interruption will negatively affect even the healthiest hair.

If it is necessary to restore the natural shade after unsuccessful bleaching, the moment with the remover can be omitted (especially for safety reasons) by performing only tinting. However, this still needs to be done make an oil mask, which revives the lightened canvas and partially removes the pigment that has not had time to set.

Summarizing the above, we can conclude that there are quite a lot of ways to return the original shade after dyeing: from gentle, but not the most immediate, to fast, but harmful to the condition of the curls. In addition, a professional may suggest making a smooth transition from the natural color to the dyed ends in order to gradually remove the length and blend the natural color.

Very often, after an incredible amount of hair coloring experiments, a girl or woman realizes that the most suitable shade for her is her natural one. How to get yours back if it has long been lost under countless layers of bleaching and paint?

The simplest and least traumatic way is to wait until the new ones grow back and cut off the colored ends. Here the question arises: how to grow yours so that you can cut it off as quickly as possible? This may turn out to be a rather slow method, as it will take a fairly long period of time, and most importantly, the natural shade may differ significantly from the color of dyed hair, which is why the hairstyle will look untidy and neglected.

If you are seriously concerned about the question “How to get your hair color back,” then you should resort to gentle coloring, choosing a shade that most closely matches your natural color. In the event that you've changed your hair color so often that you can no longer remember what your natural one looked like, you can look at your eyebrows or wait until your hair grows out a little. In this case, it is worth choosing a dye that suits the hair roots.

Of course, this method is perfect for brunettes and brown-haired women, but the question arises: how to restore blondes who have dyed their hair dark for a long time? Their path to returning to their natural ash or golden hue may be too difficult. Repeated coloring is unlikely to give the desired result, since it is necessary to make a transition from dark to light tones. Not everyone is able to afford a short haircut, because it’s a shame to part with your curls because of an unsuccessful experiment with color. To return in this situation, you can use one of two methods. The first option is simple; you need to go to a salon, where they can wash off the dye using a special procedure. Of course, this procedure is similar to bleaching, which causes considerable damage to the hair, but a professional hairdresser can reduce the harm of this process to a minimum. After this, the bleached hair will be dyed in a tone similar to your natural one.

The second way to return blonde hair is to gradually periodically highlight it with light feathers. This method is very time-consuming, but it is less harmful to the hair follicles and scalp. Even the most durable dye will eventually wash off, so highlighting here is designed to make the transition from your natural color to your colored hair smoother. While the light roots grow, it is necessary to make an increasing number of light strands, which will gradually replace the darker tone with a light one.

How to get your hair color back

Many women start to change themselves, and then want to restore their original color. Let's take a closer look at the question: how to restore your hair color using a remover? There are medications used by professional hairdressers that are designed to restore your own hair color if the client is unhappy with the result or is already tired of this option. The concentration of the remover can be different; if the concentration is successfully selected, it can destroy the artificial pigment, restoring the natural tone of the hair.

Removers can be natural, bleaching and acidic. The master chooses the type of wash depending on the original hair color and the shade in which it is dyed. Bleaching remover is designed to remove dark tones and is very harmful to hair. Two or three sessions allow you to achieve the desired result. An acid wash can remove the coloring pigment from the hair; this wash is not so harmful, but it will take many sessions to achieve the result. After rinsing, it is imperative to treat your hair with balms and masks.

Marina Nikitina

The fair sex and some men like to experiment with hair color. After dyeing, the color is bright and rich. As the pigment of the dye is washed out, the color fades, and at the same time the roots of the hair of natural color grow back.

The question arises about choosing further actions: continue to dye your hair or just paint over the growing roots or return to your natural hair color.

There are several options for how to grow your color. Some of them are harmless, while others can significantly damage the hair structure and worsen its appearance.

Nature rewards every person with a genetically predetermined hair color. Natural hair color is a combination of two types of melanin (a natural coloring pigment produced by the body) in the hair structure.

Eumelanin causes brown and black shades of hair, and pheomelanin causes yellow hair. The combination of two types of melanin gives rise to one of six possible natural hair shades.

Natural hair colors:

Brunette, almost black hair color. Shades of color from brown to blue-black.
Brown-haired. Shades from dark brown to chestnut. The most saturated, iridescent color.
Ginger. Hair of orange and fiery shades.
Light brown. The color at the intersection of brown-haired and blond. Shades from light brown to dark brown. Natural light brown color cannot be recreated using dyeing. This is the natural hair color of Eastern European people, it is common and is considered “gray” or “regular”. But the fashion for this unique natural color is returning.
Blonde, fair hair. This hair is white, gray, yellow.
Gray-haired. The color of hair in which there is no coloring pigment left. Shades from yellowish-white to silver.

Hair has always been dyed using natural dyes, and with the invention of a way to change hair color using chemicals, it became fashionable to do so. You can dye your hair any color of the rainbow, but growing hair after that is difficult.

Hair coloring is attempted in several cases:

want to change their image;
want to look brighter and more attractive;
I no longer like the natural color;
follow fashion;
want to hide gray hair or other imperfections in appearance.

Return to natural color when:

You no longer like the artificial hair color;
come to the realization that natural color is the most suitable and beautiful;
it is necessary to improve hair health, since regular dyeing is harmful to health;
regular hair coloring becomes a problematic and costly task;
For medical reasons, you cannot continue to use hair dye.

Some women, wanting to grow natural hair, are guided by the knowledge that most men like natural, natural beauty.

A haircut is the safest way to return your natural hair color.

For fast hair growth, it is useful to cut it. There will be no harm from a haircut.

When they maintain length, they tend to accumulate more chemical dye pigment than the main part of the hair. and break, especially for blondes and fair-haired girls. By cutting them, they accelerate hair growth due to the redistribution of nutrients in the hair structure. They are wasted on lifeless ends.

The downside of this method is that it will take a long time to grow your hair. Depending on the length and type of hair, you need to grow it for at least three to four months. If the curls are long and grow slowly, you will have to wait a year or more.

The visual problem is growing roots. If the natural color is not very different from the artificial one, and the color transition from roots to ends is smooth, the hairstyle looks like a fashionable ombre. If the roots are radically different from the painted part, it looks ugly.

An alternative to cutting your hair gradually is to cut your hair short. This option is suitable only for those girls who don’t mind cutting the length and those who already have a short haircut.

In addition to cutting your hair, it helps to grow your hair:

Frequently wash your hair with hot water. Hot water opens the scales of the hair cuticle of each hair, and the paint pigment is washed out of them.
Professional, pigment-removing artificial dye lotions and shampoos for hair.
Use of homemade and healthy hair.
Using natural mouthwashes that contain acid.
For oily and normal hair, the method of using it as a detergent is suitable. After washing your hair with laundry soap, apply balm to your hair. It removes the alkaline smell of soap and... The method is not suitable for those with dry hair.

If you have a question about how to quickly grow your hair and return its natural color, it is better to contact a specialist. In addition to a haircut, the beauty salon will offer several other options for solving the problem.

How do brunettes and blondes grow their hair?

If a natural brunette goes to a beauty salon with a question about how to grow out her color, the master recommends dyeing her hair again, but in a color close to natural, doing coloring or ombre.

If you dye your hair as close to its natural color as possible, the growing roots will be almost invisible. Those girls for whom this method is suitable are able to quickly grow their hair after dyeing, especially if they cut it periodically. The complexity of this method is that it is difficult to choose a color close to natural. Chemical pigments will not replace natural melanin.

In the case of coloring and ombre, the difference between the growing roots and the colored length is hidden by transitions between shades and colors.

Coloring is a technique of dyeing hair in small or large strands in different colors (one or several). Ombre is a type of hair coloring that involves a smooth transition from one color to another, gradient coloring.

For brunettes, methods of re-dying hair in a color close to natural, coloring and ombre are suitable.

It is more difficult for a natural blonde to grow blonde locks if they are painted over with dark dye. The same applies to brown hair. Blonde hair is by nature more fragile, brittle and weak. If you paint them with persistent dark paint, it is difficult to return the natural color. In such difficult cases, beauty salons perform a cosmetic procedure called chemical removal. Unlike hair coloring, it is strictly not recommended to do it yourself at home.

The dye-washing emulsion applied to the strands neutralizes the pigment of the chemical dye and bleaches the hair. After the emulsion has been left on the head for some time, it is washed off with water. One procedure is not enough; repeat up to three times. Then they paint it in a tone close to natural light brown or golden.

Unlike the bleaching procedure, chemical stripping does not involve the use of aggressive substances. An aggressive bleaching emulsion can greatly harm hair already weakened by chemicals, but in some cases, experienced hairdressers use this procedure.

A less radical, but no less harmful way to return to a natural light color is to dye your hair roots. The method requires endurance, patience and the ability to choose the right paint tone. By dyeing the roots each time in an increasingly lighter tone, and without dyeing the rest of the hair, one arrives at a natural color. The artificial color will sooner or later be washed off from the hair, and by this time the roots will be painted in a color identical to the natural one. This complex method is combined with periodic haircuts.

Another way to return to natural color for blondes is highlighting. is a coloring method that involves lightening individual strands. This is a more gentle coloring option, in which the transition from light roots to dark hair is less noticeable.

The following methods are suitable for blondes: hair bleaching, chemical removal, root dyeing, highlighting.

For rapid hair growth during and after procedures to restore natural color, use moisturizing balms, make nourishing masks and carry out other procedures that restore the hair structure. It is recommended to limit the use of hair dryers, electrical devices for curling or straightening hair, and it is better not to use aggressive cosmetics.

Home remedies to restore natural color

How to grow hair quickly if none of the methods work? You can try homemade natural masks and hair rinses.

In order to remove artificial dye, products containing acid are used:

lemon, orange (citric, galacturonic acids),
kefir (lactic acid),
(ascorbic acid),
pharmaceutical chamomile (salicylic, nicotinic, ascorbic acids),
honey (a large amount of organic and inorganic acids).

The acid neutralizes the artificial pigment and makes the hair a tone lighter.

Natural lemon and orange juice are squeezed from fruits and applied to hair. Leave for half an hour and wash off with water. You won't be able to lighten your hair this way right away. The more often you apply the juice (but no more than five times a day), the sooner your hair will become lighter.

Kefir is distributed along the length of the hair, but, unlike a fruit mask, it is kept under a bag and a towel for three hours. It is necessary to repeat the procedure four times. Kefir is an excellent remedy for unruly, often tangled and difficult to comb hair, and is also good for the scalp, helping to get rid of dryness and dandruff.

Chamomile rinse is easy to make. Take three tablespoons, pour two glasses of water, boil for fifteen minutes, cool, filter and rinse your hair with it.

A rinse is made from onion peels: one hundred grams of onion peels are poured into a liter of water, boiled for half an hour, cooled and filtered. The downside of this lightening rinse is the smell of onion on the hair, which is not always eliminated after using the balm.

- This is liquid natural honey applied to damp hair. It is recommended to make this mask at night and wash it off in the morning with water and shampoo. You will need to repeat the procedure approximately six times.

To make bleached hair darker, rinse it regularly with strong black tea, without subsequent rinsing with running water.

When striving for a natural hair color, you should be careful and remember that beautiful hair is healthy hair.

Often we put on makeup, but in the end we don’t get what we wanted. Or the shade is right, but it doesn’t suit us at all. Therefore, we want to look at how to restore your hair color at home after dyeing, lightening and highlighting.

Return from dark shades

The hardest thing is for fair girls who decide to return to their natural hair color. You need to be prepared for the following troubles:

  • light roots from a distance will look like bald patches;
  • Do not use chemical lighteners, blondes have very thin curls, they can simply deteriorate after bleaching;
  • This is a rather lengthy procedure.

First you need to wait a few weeks from the moment of dyeing, at least two, this is a mandatory requirement. Then we make an appointment with the hairdresser and he, based on the type of curls, their condition and general color, will draw conclusions and prescribe a procedure. Most often, it consists of a simple procedure in several stages, between which there is also a break of a week.

We can advise you to wet your hair with lemon juice diluted with water at home and dry it with a hairdryer. The dye from the oxidizing agent will wash off a little, and the strands will lighten.

Become a brunette again

No less often, brunettes decide to radically change their image and become blondes. This, of course, is much simpler, because you can buy paint at home that best matches the color of your curls and tint it with it.

You can also return your natural hair color from blonde using simple henna, but be prepared for the fact that it has very unpredictable reactions to perhydrol colors. You can turn brown or red, or green.

A mask made from cognac and black tea perfectly darkens hair. Mix the ingredients in half and rinse your hair with it, leave for an hour under a towel. You can repeat the procedure every other day.

We fight gray hair

It is very difficult to restore gray strands after unsuccessful dyeing. Every day there are women on the streets whose hair has become yellowish-gray rather than ashy due to prolonged coloring. Vinegar will help here (although our grandmothers believed that it also imparts yellowness).

We can also recommend using lemon juice, it is completely without any chemicals.

For gray-haired women, a honey mask is also suitable; it is done every other day for 40 minutes, and the effect will be noticeable after the third or fourth session, it all depends directly on the dye pigment that has become embedded in the hair.

Home remedies to restore color

We looked at the toughest options, but fortunately, not all girls decide to take such a drastic step, and first they check their color type with different tint products. If you have tinted yourself with henna or any other tint paint, then you can use the following to restore options:

  • kefir;
  • lemon;
  • orange juice;
  • chamomile decoction.

The principle of action is simple: wash your hair, then apply, for example, lemon juice, wait 20 minutes, wash your hair again and dry your hair. Let's see the effect. If necessary, we need to repeat it; a maximum of 5 such procedures can be carried out at a time, each of which will help us become half a tone lighter; you must agree, the effect is not bad.

Photo - Two hair colors

WITH kefir we do the same thing, but it can only be used once a day, it somewhat irritates the sebaceous glands, and as a result, you can get rid of the hated hair color and get oily roots.

We recommend a very good recipe if your hair has turned yellow or darkened after repeated highlighting. Mix honey, lemon juice and green tea infusion, heat it up, use a very thick comb to spread the solution over the strands, leave it under a towel for half an hour, rinse with chamomile infusion or the same green tea.

Good folk remedies have been created based on burdock oil and lemon juice, this is a good mask not only for lightening, but also for adding shine and strength to your hair. Mix two tablespoons of ether and one of chamomile, heat it up, apply a thin film to your curls and leave for 40 minutes, you can do it every day.

It is easiest to deal with the consequences of such unsuccessful experiments in the summer, since the sun itself quickly washes out coloring pigments, and if you also live near the sea, then salt water will greatly contribute to this. Of course, you won’t go back from black to white in three days, but in about two weeks you will become much lighter without harming your curls.

Home remedies are not suitable for everyone because they take some time to prepare, and the results will not appear immediately. How to return your natural hair color using commercial products? Very we recommend a remover by Londa is a leading paint manufacturer that sells specialty color restoration products.

For example, if you need to quickly return your hair to its previous color after bleaching, then simply run a sponge with lightening dye over the lightened or, conversely, darkened hairs. Be sure to read the instructions before use.

Often after washing, you should not use a hairdryer or straightener for some time; also try to avoid re-dying for two weeks after the procedure. Advantages of this method:

  • after rinsing, the strands smell very good and are absolutely not tangled;
  • their structure is restored to some extent;
  • The only note is that do not use henna after, it may cause another unsuccessful attempt at transformation.
  • This is one of the few ways you can quickly return a white tint from a dark one at home.

The easiest way is to return your hair to its true red color and dark brown, the fact is that red-haired beasts have a special pigment in their strands, which practically cannot be washed out and cannot be completely lightened. And after coloring, you just need to wash your hair three or four times in a row, it’s been tested - it works!

If, from all that has been proposed, you have found the best option for how to get your hair color back, be sure to try it, but first we recommend reading reviews on the Internet and viewing photos of the effect. We wish you successful transformations!

Each of us conducted experiments with hair color. But what if the end result is a very different color from what you wanted? Is it possible to somehow return your natural tone without harming your hair?

How to restore natural color after dyeing?

What to do if you are not satisfied with the new color or are simply tired of it? How to return natural hair color after? There are several ways to do this, let's look at each of them in more detail.

The easiest and most harmless way

The most obvious, simple, but at the same time quite dramatic way to restore natural hair color is a haircut. There are only two options:

  • Cut your hair gradually and little by little. But remember that the more often you do this, the faster your hair will grow back and the faster you will return to your natural color. But remember that you will have to wait for some time. And if you want to maintain the length, you will have to wait quite a long time. In addition, the growing roots may not look very nice.
  • Make a complete change and cut off all your color-treated hair, returning to your natural color. But this method is not suitable for everyone; it will be appropriate in several cases. You can do this, firstly, if you don’t mind your curls, secondly, if you already have a short haircut, thirdly, if hairstyles with short strands suit you.

Coloring or discoloration

You can return your hair to its original color using dyeing. But everything will depend on what exact shade it is and what tone you want to achieve. There are several options:

  1. If you are a natural blonde and want to get rid of dark hair, then immediately get ready for difficulties. If you have been dyeing your hair for quite a long time, then the pigment of the coloring compounds has managed to penetrate into its structure and accumulate inside, which means it will not be easy to remove it. Paints with brighteners will not solve the problem, but can only make it worse. Blonde hair is naturally thin and fragile, and if you apply a bleaching agent to it after dyeing, you can literally lose some of your curls. But it’s still worth trying bleaching, but not at home! The best option is to contact an experienced and professional hairdresser who will assess the condition and color of your strands, select a gentle composition without ammonia and do everything in the best possible way. But after such “executions,” the condition of the curls will deteriorate in any case, so go to a professional cosmetics store for high-quality care products or use folk recipes. Caring oil or honey masks will be relevant.
  2. Another way is to return to a natural tone gradually. If you need to go from dark hair color to dark, you can tint your roots. At the same time, you should not touch the dyed part of the hair so that the pigment is washed out and does not accumulate. And color the root part, but always choose a color that is a tone or better yet two lighter than the one your curls are colored in. Gradually you will achieve your natural hair color.
  3. If you have bleached your hair, but want to become a brunette again, then everything is much simpler. Wait for the roots to grow out a little and then dye the rest of your hair a color closer to your natural color. But remember that this procedure will have to be repeated several times, because all paints tend to wash off. In addition, it will be better if a professional chooses the color.
  4. To become blonde again, but without causing significant damage to your hair, you can try highlighting. This procedure will help make the transition less noticeable.
  5. If you need to become a brunette, then try coloring. As in the previous case, the transition will become less noticeable.

Wash

If you want to get rid of dark hair color and go back to a lighter color, then try doing a dye wash. Using an emulsion to remove stubborn dyes from your hair, you can restore your original color. This procedure is similar in principle to bleaching, but the product does not contain aggressive substances. The components included in the composition neutralize the paint pigment.

To achieve results without damaging your hair, choose high-quality products. It is better to go for them to a specialized professional cosmetics store. If you decide to carry out the procedure at home, then first carefully read the instructions, and then proceed.

The essence of the wash is that the product is applied to your curls and left on them for a certain time, during which the components must penetrate the hair structure and neutralize the pigment.

Then the composition must be washed off. As a rule, the procedure should be repeated 2-3 times, this will consolidate the result. Remember that the color of the roots will be different from the color of the rest of the hair. Also, if you decide to dye your hair after rinsing, choose a shade two to four shades lighter than the one you want.

It is best to carry out washing in the salon. Firstly, the specialist will select the appropriate product, secondly, apply it evenly, and thirdly, even out the color.

Hair washing

The more often you wash your hair, the faster the dye will wash off. Many people advise using hot water, but this cannot be done all the time, as high temperatures will have a negative effect on the hair and destroy it.

To speed up the process, you can use laundry soap, but remember that it can make your curls dry.

Among other things, there are professional shampoos for gradually washing off paint. Buy one of these.

Traditional methods

You can try folk remedies. Here are some recipes:

  1. Use orange or lemon juice. The acid will help neutralize the pigment and lighten the hair a little. Apply the mixture to your curls and leave for 20-30 minutes and then rinse. You can repeat this procedure no more than 5 times a day. It is not possible to change the color radically in this way, but it is quite possible to slightly lighten the strands.
  2. Instead of lemon juice, you can use kefir; it also contains acid. Apply it over the entire length of your curls, wrap your head in cling film, and then wrap it in a towel. Rinse off the mixture and evaluate the result. The next day the procedure can be repeated.
  3. To make bleached hair darker, you can use strong tea leaves. Rinse your hair regularly with it without rinsing off the product.
  4. A decoction of onion peels will help, but it may not have a very pleasant smell. Pour 100 grams of husk with a liter of water. Boil the mixture for half an hour, cool, strain and use for rinsing.

Don't overdo it and be patient. And be sure to take care of the health of your hair!
