Progress of the event

1 Competition. Poems about winter

Today I invite you to touch the miracle of Poetry!

Winter nature encourages people to create. Composers write music and dedicate it to nature. Artists do this with paints, and poets paint pictures of winter with words.

What is so unusual and magical happens in winter? Winter comes, snow falls, and it gets cold. Frost decorates the windows of houses with its patterns, decorates the branches of trees, the river is covered crystal ice, the snow shimmers in the light of the sun. Everything becomes like in a fairy tale, magical, mysterious.

I.S. Nikitin “The bad weather became noisy and cleared up in the field..”

Made noise, walked around
There is bad weather in the field;
Covered with white snow
Smooth road.
Covered with white snow,
There was no trace left.
Dust and blizzard rose,
Out of sight.

Yes, guys, a white and cold winter has come to earth. The forest drowned in the snow. The snow is falling slowly, unhurriedly. And everything that gets in his way is painted white by the snow.

Ivan Surikov “Winter”.

White snow, fluffy spinning in the air
And he quietly falls to the ground and lies down.
And in the morning the field turned white with snow,
It was as if everything had covered him with a shroud.
The dark forest covered itself with a wonderful cap
And he fell asleep under her soundly, soundly...
God's days short, the sun shines little,
Now the frosts have arrived - and winter has come.
The toiling peasant pulled out his sleigh,
Children are building snow mountains.
The peasant has been waiting for winter and cold for a long time,
And he covered the outside of the hut with straw.
So that the wind does not penetrate into the hut through the cracks,
Blizzards and blizzards wouldn't blow snow.
He is now calm - everything around is covered,
And he is not afraid of the angry frost.

The Russian winter has come into its own. Lacy snowflakes fall quietly and smoothly to the ground.

Afanasy Fet “Wonderful picture, how dear you are to me...”

Wonderful picture
How dear you are to me:
White plain,
Full moon
The light of the high heavens,
And shining snow
And distant sleighs
Lonely running.

Wonderful view winter nature! The rays of the sun shower the entire earth with a cold shine. In the transparent air, fluffy frost sparkles with beautiful stars. The forest stands as if bewitched. Winter falls to the ground in all its glory. Snow sparkles, sparkles flash and go out. Clear birch trees have spread lacy branches, shining in the sun with soft pink thin birch bark. Silence, calm, purity emanates from the sleeping beauty of nature. Apparently, a person rarely sets foot here.

Snow, snow - the kingdom of snow. Everything is in the forest in fabulously white snowdrifts. Frost has frozen the tree trunks. Sorceress - winter triumphs, she rules.

This is how much wonderful and joyful winter brings us!

Fyodor Tyutchev “The Enchantress in Winter..”

Enchantress in Winter
Bewitched, the forest stands -
And under the snow fringe,
motionless, mute,
He shines with a wonderful life.
And he stands, bewitched, -
Not dead and not alive -
Enchanted by a magical dream,
All entangled, all shackled
Light chain down...
Is the winter sun shining
On him your ray with a scythe -
Nothing will tremble in him,
It will all flare up and sparkle
Dazzling beauty.

2 Competition. Crossword on the board

I will ask you riddles about winter, and you will guess the answers. The word that will be in the middle in the vertical column will be the goal of our lesson.

They fly faster than the wind
And I fly three meters from them.

Soft landing in a snowdrift. (sled)

There was a blanket lying
Soft, white
The sun is hot -
The blanket leaked. (snow)

I walk in the field, I fly in freedom,
I twist, I mutter, I don’t want to know anyone.
I run along the village, sweeping up snowdrifts. (blizzard)

They didn’t raise me - they made me out of snow.
Instead of a nose, they cleverly inserted a carrot.
Eyes are coals, hands are knots.
Cold, big, who am I? (snow woman)

Black-winged, red-breasted
and will find shelter in winter:
He is not afraid of colds -
The first snow is here! (bullfinch)

And not snow, and not ice,
And with silver he will remove the trees. (frost)

Under our roof
A white nail is hanging.
The sun will rise -

Are there needles all year round? (Christmas tree)

Well done, you solved all the riddles.

What word did you get? (snowflake)

3 Competition. About the shapes of snowflakes

A snowflake is a very interesting natural phenomenon. Let's find out why she's interesting.

How are snowflakes born?

  • Fragile, lightest snowflakes travel a long and whimsical path, sometimes contrary to the laws of physics.
  • They originate in clouds, condensing from water vapor in the form of tiny droplets.
  • Next, the droplets cool to a temperature below 0 °C, but do not freeze.
  • Only specks of dust floating in the air contribute to their transformation into snow; the specks of dust become the center of crystallization.
  • Other water molecules join the crystal core in strictly defined places, “constructing” snowflakes with a distinct hexagonal shape.
  • As they approach the Earth, they attract more and more drops to themselves, gradually increasing in size.
  • When snowflakes reach critical mass, they fall to the ground.
  • The shape of snowflakes depends on the temperature of the air surrounding them. But snow flakes, rushing to the ground, pass through many layers of air in the atmosphere with different temperatures. This constant alternation of temperature turns snow crystals into a unique creation.

“Holiday with your own hands.”

“Cut out a snowflake.”

Now each team needs to cut out a snowflake from paper. Who is faster and more beautiful?

4 Competition. “Not about beauty, but about the benefits of snowflakes...”

The snow cover that covers the ground during the winter months is vital for plants. He saves them from freezing. Loose snow contains a large amount of air. Sometimes a “snow feather bed” consists of 90 percent air filling, which is known to be an excellent insulator.

Snowflakes serve people well too. They clean the air of dust and fumes, and therefore it is always easy to breathe during snowfall. Moreover, snow reflects the destructive spectra of the sun's rays, so northern peoples do not have many of the diseases that southerners suffer from.

“Holiday with your own hands.”

“Collect a picture.” (Puzzles about winter.)

Who's faster? 2 people from each team participate.

5 Competition. “Interesting facts, amazing facts”

Amazing fact about winter - There are more poems with the word "winter" in the title than "summer". ... In some high mountain areas, such as California's Sierra Nevada, watermelon snow can be seen in the summer. It is pink in color and has the smell and taste of watermelon. This phenomenon is due to the presence of algae in the snow containing the red pigment astaxanthin.

Did you know that 1 septillion (10 to the 24th power) of snow crystals falls every winter? And to make a snowflake, you need 1 million small drops. Snowflakes are an accumulation of many ice crystals. Most snowflakes are no more than 1 cm wide.

It was also recorded that on April 30, 1944, amazing snow fell in Moscow; the shape of the snowflakes, almost the size of a palm, resembled ostrich feathers.

In Japan, on the island of Hokkaido, there is a snowflake museum - the only one in the world named after Nakaya Ukichiro.

“Drawings for proverbs about winter.”

One participant from each team draws pictures for proverbs about winter.

6 Competition. “Cut out New Year’s toys and masks”

Who is faster and more beautiful? 2 people from each team participate.

7 Competition. “Hit the snowball into the basket”

(Knock. Postman Pechkin enters)

Guys! Telegram from Santa Claus!

Host: What is he writing?

Congratulations on the Winter holiday. I can’t come, I’m preparing for the New Year. I’m sending an assignment.

Competition Draw winter patterns.

(The whole team draws. Each participant makes his own stroke)

Leading: In the meantime, the teams are busy. The fans and I will dance the dance of the little ducklings.

The works are submitted for evaluation by the jury.

Metelitsa appears to cheerful music.

Leading: Who came to us?

I'm walking in the field

I fly free

I'm spinning, I'm muttering

I don't want to know anything.

Leading: Yes, it's a blizzard! Guys, let's welcome her. Let's sing her the song "Snow Song"

Blizzard brought assignments for a math competition. (Ingenuity tasks)

While the teams are busy, we'll see how our fans know math.

Presenter: Well done!

The nature of our country is rich and diverse. On land, in the air, in the water and under water - life is in full swing everywhere. This life is full of secrets, riddles, miracles. There are so many interesting things you can see if you look closely at everything. The next competition is called “Bring the Mask to Life.”

Guess which animal or bird mask is in these bags. And then depict this animal or bird, show its habits, way of life.

1 team:

Clumsy, clubfooted

In summer there are raspberries, honey,

And in winter he sucks his paw.

Team 2:

Small, white

Jump-jump along the forest,

One snowball at a time.

Team 3:

From branch to branch

Fast as a ball

Jumping through the forest

Red-haired circus performer.

Here he is on the fly

I tore off the cone

Jumped on the trunk

And he ran into the hollow.

Team 4:

The little animal is jumping,

Not a mouth, but a trap.

Will fall into a trap

And a mosquito and a fly.

Team 5:

Scarlet comb,

The pockmarked caftan,

Double beard

Important gait

Gets up before everyone else

Host: And now, guys, let’s sing the song “Why does the bear sleep in winter.”

We are all happy about the pranks of Mother Winter.

Children love to sculpt a snow woman, skate and ski.

IN warm fur coats and earflaps

Snowy winter times

Kids on a fast sled

A steep mountain rushes like a whirlwind.

Children's faces in the wind

They flared up like red.

Let the prickly snow gather dust,

Let the angry frost be angry -

The guys don't care at all.

The Snowman enters.

Leading: Guys, who came to us for the holiday?

Dashingly moving it on one side

rust bucket,

Leaned on the fence

Snowman Egorka.

He invites people

Drive down the hill into the garden.

His nose is on fire

Fun and bright.

It's freezing outside,

And Egorka is hot!

Host: Guys, the Snowman wants to hold the last competition with you. There are snowballs in this bag. Now the Snowman will scatter them throughout the hall. Which team will collect more snowballs?

The snowman whistles.

(At the signal they begin to collect snowballs)

The collected snowballs are counted by the Snowman for each team.

Host: Our holiday has come to an end. Thank you very much, dear children and dear parents, for your participation.

In the meantime, our jury is summing up the results, we will sing the song “Our Ian’s Choir.”

The jury's word. Rewarding. Sweet prizes.

Children and parents leave the hall to the music.
