Of course, all toys are good, but I support the opinion that construction sets develop children’s thinking, I consider them “useful”, so I throw them into the basket more often than other toys.
Today I want to share my impressions of purchasing another construction set. In short, then I recommend, but not earlier than 5 years.

I bought this construction set back in the early days of my online shopping. Now the seller no longer has it, so I’m giving a link to a similar one, but from a different seller. Its price at the time of purchase was $19.85.
Arrived about a month later, the seller was in no hurry to send, after the third reminder on the 8th day he sent the parcel. It came in a transparent thin plastic case, the lid of which successfully broke in the first days. There are no complaints about the designer itself - the quality of the plastic is quite acceptable, and most importantly, odorless.
The magnetic construction set is a set of 140 sticks in 4 colors and 90 nickel-plated steel balls. 
In the description of the designer it was written that neodymium magnets were inserted into the cavities of the sticks.
I read that neodymium magnets are much more powerful than simple ferrite magnets and magnets made of other alloys.
I don’t know whether they are really neodymium, but the magnetic force of the stick is quite strong - one stick holds several balls.

I wanted to make a kite from a construction set, but my combinatorial abilities were only enough for this.
Let me make a reservation right away, this is not the construction set that all sorts of horror stories on the Internet are about, like sticking together in the intestines and so on. In this construction set, the parts are much larger (sticks 2.5 cm, balls 1 cm in diameter) and magnetic - only sticks. The balls are just metal.
In the set we have - 157 elements: 96 magnetic sticks (they are plastic on the outside) and 61 steel balls. But there are different types of sets, depending on the number of elements.
All parts are packed in a foam box. It is NOT CONVENIENT to store in it. Magnetic sticks have different poles, and placing them side by side is very problematic. And this box takes up a lot of space. We store them in a simple bank. I rolled it into a ball and went there.
The whole game consists of constructing various figures from them. The sticks are magnetized to each other or through the ball.

But we don’t build things that complex. We don’t have enough parts, and they’re still small (4, 5 years old)
