Knitted cardigan made of fine mohair

To knit this cardigan I used 225 g of very fine bobbin yarn. I used mohair in one thread 100 g - 2000 m. I folded it into three threads, so it turned out that in 75 g - 500 m. It took 1500 m. The composition of the yarn is 50% mohair and 50% polyamide. Blueberry color.

The knitting density is 24 loops per 10 cm. I didn’t count the height, that’s why. that I tried on while knitting.

Knitting front and back

The front and back were knitted in one fabric.

For knitting, I cast on 247 loops, 3 icord loops, 241 elastic loops and 3 icord loops.

First I knitted an elastic band, knit 1, purl 1, 18 rows.

Then I switched to knitting a pattern: 3 icord loops, 241 pattern loops and 3 icord stitches.

I knitted 11 reports of the pattern in height up to the armholes. Next, I divided the knitting into three parts to form the cutouts for the armholes.

After dividing the knitting, I started knitting the back first. I knitted 4.5 stitches of the pattern and made a cutout for the neckline. I transferred the 24 central loops onto a separate knitting needle (pin) and continued knitting the back in separate parts, another 0.5 stitches high. Then I left the loops on the knitting needle and started knitting the fronts.

I knitted each shelf separately, 5 reports of the pattern in height. Then I crocheted the front and back loops.

How to crochet the back and shelves with open loops

At the edges of the shelves I still had loops for the straps (16 stitches, half stitch wide) and I already knitted them separately, tying them to the neck loops on the back in every 2nd row.

In the center of the neckline, I knitted three loops together to the top so that an imitation seam was obtained.

Knitting sleeves

For the sleeves, I cast on 96 stitches from the armholes (4 pattern reports) and knitted them along the kurug without decreasing to the required length. I determined the sleeve length by trying on.
At the end I reduced it to 64 loops and knitted 4 cm of 1x1 elastic.
