Simple but beautiful New Year's crafts with children. Simple DIY winter and New Year crafts for children Christmas tree decorations for a 2 year old child

Good afternoon, we are making New Year's crafts again. And this time I want to show new selections of children's works, arranged by age. I want to collect crafts here for babies 1-2 years old, classes for children 3-4 years old(junior kindergarten group) and New Year's ideas for older ones kindergarten children 5-6 years old, and crafts for junior schoolchildren 7-10 years old. We will work with a variety of materials and using various techniques. I will try to describe in as much detail as possible all the nuances of the work on creating each craft, I will give recommendations on materials and on organizing the process as part of a lesson in kindergarten or school. In short, I will try to provide useful assistance to everyone who is planning to decorate this New Year with their children with their own hands.

You will also find affordable crafts for children on the same topic in the article.

NEW YEAR'S CRAFTS

For the little ones

(from 1 year to 2 years).

In this chapter I want to show what simple crafts you can do with young children. For example, bright Christmas lights. Take a white sheet of paper and draw the outlines of light bulbs on it. Let's cut them out. Glue a rope (or knitting thread) onto a red sheet of cardboard and place the cut out light bulbs on it with glue. Next, pour colored gouache into different bowls (lids from jars). The child pokes his finger into the paint and then into the light bulbs. It turns out to be a beautiful New Year's craft made by children's hands.

Here's another simple craft for the little ones. We cut out round templates of Christmas balls from cardboard and cut out stars separately (you can use glitter paper). A small child still has difficulty wielding a brush, so let him take the glue with his fingers and poke this glue anywhere on the template. And in this place you put a star together, and it sticks.

Crafts made from cotton wool for the little ones

But this game is very popular with the youngest children. We roll cotton wool into balls using dry methods (like nurses do in hospitals). Take a piece of cotton wool and roll it into a ball (not tight, but plump). And again we take a new piece of cotton wool and roll another ball. And so we make a whole bowl of balls. Next, pour glue into the lid of the jar.

The child’s task is to take a cotton ball with his hand - dip it into the puddle of glue poured in the lid and place it on the finished craft template. On the body of a snowman, or in the area of Santa Claus's beard. The smallest child will be happy to place the balls on the craft, generously dipping them into glue. Therefore, stock up on PVA glue (in a hardware store, a liter bucket of PVA glue costs only $2, which is 10 times cheaper than if you buy PVA glue in small bottles at office supplies).

New Year's tree for children 1-2 years old.

Children also love to decorate the Christmas tree. A 1-2 year old child is not yet ready to make a full-fledged paper applique himself. He can only DECORATE, complement the applique already made by an adult. Therefore, let mom make a Christmas tree out of anything, paper or a plastic plate (as in the left photo). And the baby will already be decorate the Christmas tree decor. At first make a puddle of glue anywhere Christmas trees (with your fingers or a cotton swab), and then put any decoration prepared in advance by your mother into this puddle of glue.

Craft with FALLING SNOW for kids.

Even small children 1-2 years old understand what snow is in the picture and love to make it themselves. Poke your finger into the white paint and decorate the New Year's craft with a cheerful snowball. You can design this children's work in the form of a Snow Globe. Place a snowman or a photo of a baby in it and decorate everything with falling snow and a snowdrift below.

ICE NEW YEAR WREATH a simple craft for kids .

You can also do it with small children a beautiful winter experiment with water turning into ice. Take a bowl and pour water into it. Place a glass in the center (preferably plastic, not glass). Now the child is putting different objects into the water. It can be anything, a mosaic, pieces of colored paper, smooth glass, or pebbles. And also natural material, leaves from my mother’s geranium from the window, rowan or hawthorn berries, cones, twigs, pieces of pine needles from the Christmas tree. And then we take this structure out into the cold - on a shelf in the refrigerator or outside, if you have a village yard where strangers do not walk, or an unglazed balcony.

We free the frozen New Year's wreath from the bowl and glass (as you understand, it is from the glass that the hole remains in the middle). To free the wreath from the bowl, you need to put it in warm water for a few seconds. And in order to get a frozen glass out, you need to pour warm water into it too.

New Year's crafts

For the younger group of kindergarten

3-4 years.

A very simple and doable craft for children of the second junior group is Santa Claus from a disposable plastic plate. Bend the plate (or cut it) in half. We make a Santa Claus hat from paper. Glue the face, nose and hat onto half of the plate. Using a black marker, draw eyes and a smile.

And here is a craft for the New Year in the form of a sprig of holly . Cut out round cells from egg cartons. We paint them in red gouache (spray them with hairspray to make them shine). From green paper we make a holly leaf. First glue the leaves with the corners towards the center in different directions. And then we apply the red details of the berries onto glue (or plasticine). A simple and beautiful craft for children.

Christmas candle craft for 3-4 years.

The candle looks best against a dark background of black cardboard. It’s beautiful when the body of the candle has a border (this is achieved due to the fact that the candle is created from two rectangles of paper of different colors - one lower one is made larger so that it looks out at the edges from under the top layer of the rectangle.

The candle flame is also two-layered with two colors. And at the base of the candle we tear up pieces of paper in two shades of green (this will be New Year's greens) and put circles of red berries.

You can make Christmas wreaths. Such crafts are made on the basis of a cardboard ring - it requires a large piece of cardboard (a pizza box is suitable) or a large sheet of thick paper for drawing. Place green paper holly sprigs on a cardboard ring. And round red berries. They will look better if you put a white dot on them on the side using gouache or office corrector (because gouache does not stick to slippery glossy cardboard).

And advice– make the holly leaves from two different shades of green paper – this way they will not merge with each other and the craft will sparkle with shapes.

Your children's Christmas wreath can be complicated by different elements - bows, appliqué with a sandman, Santa Claus hats, and a variety of figures-symbols of the New Year.

And a good wreath for children 3-4 years old is made from crumpled crepe paper. And also make red berries from lumps of red paper. The basis for such a wreath can be a plastic plate, the bottom of which has been cut off.

New Year's crafts

(middle group kindergarten)

for children 4-5 years old.

In the middle group of kindergarten, children are already able to make appliqués from paper. They are good at using a brush and glue. And they are already figuring out exactly how and where exactly this or that part needs to be glued - right side up, and not upside down. The ideas I posted in the article are suitable for this age.

And here I’ll just add a few photo works. I like the idea of decorating a New Year's applique in a round frame from a paper plate. It turns out to be an interesting and original craft.

Here are some beautiful ideas for New Year's paddle crafts. Children love to glue the blades together. How this is done is clear from the photo. Circles are cut. Bend in half. The halves are placed side by side and glued together.

Here is a paper Christmas tree craft that is also interesting for children. Christmas tree templates are cut out of thick drawing paper - the frames are empty inside. And this void is filled with colored strips (they are glued to the back wall of the frame).

In the middle group of kindergarten, the child is given scissors and taught simple actions with them. The very first lessons look like cutting grass - that is, make a fringe cut along the edge of a sheet of paper. Using this technique you can make a three-dimensional herringbone applique. First, cut triangles of green paper - different sizes. And on each triangle you need to draw fringe lines with a pencil. This is an important guideline for a child without a line; he will confuse the side on which the fringe is needed and set the parameters of the fringe (width and height).

Crafts for children using openwork paper napkins for confectionery also look beautiful (see photo below).

And here are some more beautiful winter crafts with a snowball and a bird near the house.

New Year's crafts

In the older group

(children 6-7 years old).

At this age, children are already good at using scissors and working with paper. They can fold paper into complex shapes and this skill can be used in New Year's crafts.

For example, after the children learn how to make fans, you can create Christmas angels.

Also, a fan made of green paper can become the basis for a Christmas tree craft. We bend the fan in half and glue the opposing blades together. We cut the toilet paper roll at the top and insert a fan Christmas tree into this cut. All that remains is to decorate it with paper balls or pompoms.

The fan fold of paper may not be straight, but triangular. Cut out a semicircular shape from paper. And we bend the edge of this semicircle - we get a triangular bend, which we then repeat in a mirror like a fan - several times. We get a triangular accordion (photo below) - this is the basis for a three-dimensional Christmas tree applique.

Children also love to make appliqués from half-discs. We cut circles of different sizes out of paper, bend them in half and form a Christmas tree from these halves. It is convenient to start gluing from the upper tiers.

And here is a Christmas tree made from waste material (left photo). Take a straight, strong branch. And we cut out round pieces of different sizes from packaging cardboard. We make a hole in the center of each cardboard disk and string the disks like a pyramid onto a branch. We paint it green. We decorate with colored paper.

And another idea for a Christmas tree (right photo) - where the top is made of a cone of green cardboard, which is put on a cylinder of brown cardboard (the leg of the Christmas tree). Plus decor, stars, toys, garland.

And here are some more crafts based on cardboard toilet paper rolls. We paste the sleeves with colored paper and add elements to them - beards, eyes, hats (to make Santa Claus), muzzles, ears and horns (to make a deer).

New Year's crafts

For children 7-10 years old.

At school, a lesson in creativity (art or labor) no longer lasts 15-25 minutes as in kindergarten - but a whole lesson lasts 45 minutes. And so you can aim for a good big craft for the New Year.

The school also often holds competitions for New Year's work. Therefore, here I want to provide some ideas for exhibition volumetric works.

Here's a fun idea with a wreath and candles made from toilet paper rolls.

But the Christmas tree is voluminous (photo below). She hangs on a thread hanging from the roof of the box. Tiers of “paper needles” are put on a thread, and between them are pieces of cocktail tubes. The tiers of needles are glued together in advance from strips folded crosswise like a snowflake. Snowflakes are pierced with a needle and thread, then a tube is strung, again a green splay snowflake, again a tube. And when all the tiers are assembled, the top lid of the box is pierced and the Christmas tree is hung on a knot or bead on the roof of the box.

You can do it without a thread - string the entire tree onto a thin pin (made of wood or metal) - then the tree can stand without a box.

Here are some interesting crafts from cardboard, bottle cap, plasticine, battery and LED. We cut out the circles of the snowman from cardboard, make a hole in the lid, insert an LED, a battery into it, cover everything with plasticine and attach the lid to the cardboard base of the snowman using the plasticine.

Here's another idea for a beautiful New Year's applique. It can be made voluminous and convex - if under each layer you make spacers from pieces of thick cardboard - so that there is a distance between the layers.

Interesting works can also be done using the technique of embroidery on cardboard. We make puncture holes and thread thick woolen threads or fluffy wire through them. This is how a Christmas tree was made on a round piece of cardboard, which was then inserted into a round frame from a plastic plate.

You can make patterns in the form of snowflakes. First, we draw a snowflake with a pencil and make punctures with an awl at the key nodes of the drawing. Then we pull a thread and a needle through them and get a pattern in the form of a drawing.

And here is a New Year's applique made from pasta, which is attached to plasticine or hot thermal glue.

You can make a tall cone out of plasticine and stick pasta into it. It is better to paint it green in advance.

You can also make beautiful crafts with your own hands from salt dough. Roll out the dough. Let's make a big ring out of it. And stars with cookie cutters or just a knife. We dry all the elements separately - paint them with gouache, spray them with hairspray or cover them with acrylic varnish. We assemble the craft using dough glue or other glue.

Salt dough is made from salt, flour and water. Salt and flour in half - add water until the dough becomes like tight plasticine. You can add 1 spoon of vegetable oil to the dough - then it will not stick to your hands or to the table.

You will find a lot of DIY salt dough crafts in our special article

Here's another beautiful craft Santa Claus made from salt dough. Or it can be made from ordinary plasticine.

Here they are The houses are made by craftsman Kay Miller. Roll out the plasticine with a rolling pin (not a wooden one, but a deodorant can). From a flat piece we cut out the silhouette of houses and other flat details. Then we put everything in the house. We make the decor of the house from flat and round parts. We decorate everything with long sausages - we twist two sausages with each other to make a striped two-color twisted sausage. We make small balls, give them a drop-shaped shape, place them in the right place in the house and press them with a round stick (we make a notch-hole). Take a closer look at the photo below and you will understand what I'm talking about.

Here's an idea for this New Year. Now you know even more about how fun it is to celebrate this holiday with your children. Let happiness enter your homes with children's crafts. After all, children's hands are the hands of a magician, and when they create a fairy tale, it truly comes to life.

Let a warm fairy tale come to life in your family.

Winter crafts with and for children

 12:26 November 27, 2017

Long winter evenings, a quiet family atmosphere, New Year's holidays - and now the desire to create unprecedented beauty with our own hands awakens in us. And if you add to your own imagination the huge mass of ideas with which the Internet is simply overflowing, then you can actually become addicted to homemade products. Moreover, you don’t need any unusual materials for this. Just the opposite: on winter crafts Anything in the house will do.

Such funny snowmen made from felt, socks and even salt dough.

A funny penguin made of colored paper will amuse a child and teach the basics of geometry.

Snow-white winter is our favorite time of year for many of us, and New Year is one of the best holidays. Just imagine: it’s frosty outside, the roads are snowy, everything is covered with huge snowdrifts, and the whole family has gathered in a warm, cozy house on a day off. And when the kids start fiddling with colored paper and scissors, normal parents will not be able to stay away and will definitely join in the needlework, which will bring pleasure to both themselves and the kids. The desire to create awakens even more with the appearance of a fluffy Christmas tree. That’s when the children with mom and dad open a real workshop of Santa Claus, so many Christmas tree toys, garlands, snowflakes and decorations for gifts appear from under their hands. Not only is it beautiful, but it also brings great joy to those making crafts and those who see them.

If you remember, we wrote in detail how to make a solution for crystals.

Our inventive mothers, if desired or necessary, can adapt any item for decoration. This is how New Year’s crafts FROM FIGURED PASTA PRODUCTS have become very popular. You can get creative with your child and make unusual toys and funny garlands. Even if you simply paint them gold or white and sprinkle them with frosted pieces, the tree will sparkle from them, and the baby will be simply delighted. For the little ones, simple toys made from cardboard templates are suitable. The child will be able to cut out figures from paper, felt or foil. You can also use unnecessary beads and buttons found at home, different in shape and color. The child can sew them according to his own taste to previously made figures. Then they must be hung on the tree in the place of honor.

Winter crafts from pasta

For crafts you will need pasta of different shapes, glue and glitter.

Children's winter crafts

For older guys, we can offer more serious kids winter crafts, requiring certain skills. This way, younger schoolchildren can easily cope with a New Year’s craft - SLIPPERS WITH SANTA CLAUS. Of course, they can be made “in an adult way” - from thick felt, insoles, padding polyester. But in our case, a simpler one is suitable - a souvenir version of slippers that can be hung, for example, for combs in the hallway. They are made either from thick fabric or cardboard. In this case, the child traces his foot on cardboard and cuts out the base. Then he cuts out the top of the slipper from another piece of cardboard, and you can offer him to cut out its shape according to the template you made in advance. Before connecting both blanks, the upper part is decorated to resemble the face of Santa Claus. To do this, you can take a braid of a suitable tone, thick fabric, colored paper, two white buttons and two black beads from which the eyes are made, multi-colored yarn, padding polyester for mustaches, beards and the edges of a hat. You can decorate everything with white gouache and glitter. If your child gives such a souvenir to his beloved grandparents, then their happiness will know no bounds.

Winter theater made of felt.

Beautiful New Year card.

And here is another postcard with a snowman.

A fun version of a New Year's craft - Christmas tree decorations FROM EGGSHELLS. First, the white and yolk are carefully blown out of a whole (fresh) egg through punctures at its ends. Then the most creative stage begins - decorating the shell. The easiest way is to cover the entire surface of the eggshell with small pieces of colored paper. You can glue different applications from the same colored paper. If you add cotton hair, a mustache, a beard and a paper cap to the drawn mouth, nose and eyes, you can get a cute gnome, clown, Santa Claus or someone else. You can also cover the egg with glitter, decorate it with finely chopped “rain”, various ribbons, and absolutely anything else you can get your hands on. You can also simply paint the shell, but not with watercolors or gouache. They do not adhere well to the surface of the egg, so oil or acrylic paint is more suitable. A thread for hanging the toy, first threaded through both holes, is secured at the lower end of the egg, for example, with a thread tassel or bead.

Sugar snowmen.

Do you still not know how to properly use plastic bottles?

But for an APPLE OF PARADISE, everything in the kitchen will do. This way you can crumple the foil and give it the shape of a small apple. On top it needs to be wrapped with a finishing layer of the same foil. A peppercorn is glued into the recess at the bottom of the apple, and two holes are pierced in the upper recess into which a stalk, a leaf and a fastening thread will be inserted. For the cutting, you can use a twig, a real tail from an apple or a piece of twine, and the leaf can be successfully replaced with a bay leaf, which is better tinted for greater naturalness. Now all that remains is to sprinkle the apple with snow. It can be replaced with scraps of paper, small polystyrene foam balls, or even ordinary granulated sugar. To prevent the snow from falling off, the apple should be coated with glue or clear polish (nail polish) and rolled in snow material prepared ahead of time. Moreover, you do not need to roll the entire apple, but only one side or the top. When the apple is dry, it will be ready to hang on the tree.

Snowman made from a sock

You can make these funny snowmen from unnecessary socks. You will need socks, rice for filling, some scraps and buttons. Cut off the toe of the sock and tie it with thread on the other side. Pour the rice into a round shape, tie it again with a thread and add more rice to form a smaller ball. Sew on the eyes and nose, make a scarf from a scrap, sew on buttons. And the cut off part will make an excellent hat.

A cinnamon stick is used as a base; several artificial spruce branches and multi-colored buttons are attached to it using glue. Such Christmas trees will not only decorate your home, but also fill it with the warming aroma of cinnamon.

Deer from traffic jams

Bottle caps are an excellent craft material. For example, you can make such a cute deer. You will need some corks, glue and various beads for decoration. It’s not a shame to hang something like this on a Christmas tree.

Attach pasta of different shapes with glue and cover with silver paint, secure with ribbon - an unusual New Year's snowflake is ready.

Snowmen made from lids

Cover metal bottle caps with white paint (it’s better to use acrylic) and glue them together, as shown in the picture. Draw a face on the snowman and decorate it with a scarf made of bright ribbon. If you glue a loop on top of it, such a snowman can be hung on the Christmas tree.
