To make such a bag, you will need: old jeans, a ruler, a simple pencil, large format paper or newspaper, a piece of chalk, sewing pins, scissors, a measuring tape, a sewing machine, a 26 cm long zipper, decorative rivets or rhinestones and a jewelry chain.
First you need to build a pattern for your future denim handbag. To do this, we take a sheet of drawing paper or an ordinary newspaper on a turn and begin to draw the necessary details on it. Making drawings with simple pencil and rulers. To begin with, we draw a square-shaped part with sides of twenty-six centimeters - this will be the main wall of the bag, we also draw a rectangular part, 26 centimeters long and 10 centimeters wide - this will be the side of the bag and part of the bottom. Both parts must be cut along the contour of the paper.

We also connect two bottom parts along the width from the inside.
Then we collect the details of the bag into it whole. To do this, sew the bottom along the bottom edge from the wrong side to the side walls, and then the side parts, also from the wrong side. As a result, we got a finished bag without handles and fasteners. Our handbag turned out to be unlined, but it can be easily cut out according to the same patterns and sewn inside without any problems. The lining can be sewn in two ways: either you make the lining separately and then sew it inside the bag along the top edge, or you sew the lining on each cut piece of the bag separately.
Zippers must be sewn into the base of the bag for fastening along the upper edge from the wrong side of the bag.
The entire surface of a sewn bag can be decorated with various decorative elements: rhinestones, beads, sequins. Tip: if you want to sew a bag with a lining, then first decorate your product with decor, and only then sew the bag and sew the lining into it.
Our handbag lacks only handles. We'll make them from pieces denim and jewelry wide chain. We cut out strips of denim of the desired length in accordance with your height and a width of 2.5-3 centimeters. Then we wrap the edges of each strip inward and sew on sewing machine. As a result, we get a handle with a width of approximately 1-1.5 centimeters. You can cheat a little: do not suffer with handles and fabric, but simply carefully cut off a strong double seam along the legs and use it instead of handles.
If you still decide to make the handles yourself, then they need to be further strengthened so that they are reliable and durable. This can be done with a wide chain. To do this, weave the fabricated denim strips between the links of the chain from its beginning to the end.
