Autumn - great time, writers and poets never cease to glorify it in their works. Artists convey this beauty on canvases and paintings. Now is the time when it’s time to pick up brushes and paint masterpieces in nature, while experiencing joy and inspiration from the work itself, from communicating with nature. Let's go through autumn forest, rustling the fallen leaves, let's breathe in the clean forest air, look at these beauties, and the hand itself will reach out to capture all this beauty on paper.
Listen to how our writer K.D. Ushinsky describes autumn in his work:

...The leaves on the trees begin to turn yellow here and there at the end of August; in September you notice how on a birch tree, still green, completely yellow, golden branches appear here and there: as if the dead hand of autumn grabbed and crushed them in passing. The birch tree is the first to bloom, and it is the first to begin to turn yellow. Every day there are more and more yellow leaves. Another two or three days - and the trembling aspen stands all red, crimson, and golden. But the gusty autumn wind also tears away this last decoration: spinning light, dried leaves in the air, covering the wet ground with them...
This poem is perfect for the time of golden autumn!
The forest is like a painted tower,
Lilac, gold, crimson,
A cheerful, motley wall
Standing above a bright clearing.
Birch trees with yellow carving
Glisten in the blue azure,
Like towers, the fir trees are darkening,
And between the maples they turn blue
Here and there through the foliage
Clearances in the sky, like a window.
The forest smells of oak and pine,
Over the summer it dried out from the sun,
And Autumn is a quiet widow
Enters his motley mansion...
(I. Bunin)

In this master class we will draw with you golden autumn. Let's prepare a workplace - pour water into a jar, take brushes and open our jars of gouache.
Materials and tools for work:
- white sheets of paper for watercolors, A4 size;
-art gouache 12 colors;
-natural brushes (pony) sizes No. 2 and No. 4;
- PVA glue with a dosed spout;
-a jar of water.

Work progress:

We need to prepare the place for work. There should be no foreign objects under your hands. We will place the sheet horizontally, because this way it will be more convenient for us to complete the task. Open the PVA glue and begin to apply contour lines with the nose. The outline for the future drawing is made with PVA glue from a bottle with a dosed spout. A preliminary simple sketch can be drawn for children with a simple pencil. Then the boundaries of the contour must dry. After this, the space between the contours is painted with bright colors. Adhesive borders prevent the paint from spreading and mixing.

Let's apply several contour drawings at once and let them dry.

After the glue has dried, we begin to work with the yellow color. Let's color the sun and foliage on the ground. We try not to go beyond the contour applied with glue with the brush.

Now we take blue paint and apply the background in the background.

Let's draw the trunks of the trees in brown.

Let's cover the foliage on the ground and the tree with orange. Paint the tree in the middle with red paint.

The final touch is to paint the foliage and tree on the right with golden ocher. Here our drawing is ready!

Now all that remains is to insert the work into a frame, it can participate in the exhibition “Autumn Plays with Colors”
or will become an interior decoration!

This is what other glue pictures made using the same technique will look like.

Thank you for your attention, I wish you good luck in your creativity!

Progress of the lesson

Read Y. Akim’s poem “Autumn” to the children:

Rain, rain,

All day

Drumming on the glass.

The whole earth

The whole earth

Got wet from the water...

Ask the children:

– What is this poem about? (About rainy autumn.)

Determine with your children what colors rainy autumn has. (Yellow, orange, red, green, brown, gray, blue.)

Offer to paint a rainy autumn using these colors. Let the children think about how they can depict rain (draw on a wet sheet).

You need to apply water to the landscape sheet with a wide brush. Then put watercolor paint on a thin brush and touch it to a sheet of paper in several places. The point will begin to spread. The empty spaces need to be filled with spreading dots of other colors.

drawing autumn with children

I posted a post with Autumn coloring pages. But even a little artist sometimes wants not only to color someone else’s drawing, but also to create his own image of this beautiful and most picturesque time of year. Here, unconventional drawing methods can come to his aid. Let's start with the basics autumn landscape- images of a tree.

Drawing autumn trees

The easiest way to draw a tree is by blowing it from a straw. To do this, draw a trunk and several branches with black or brown paint, trying to leave as much paint on the paper as possible. And now the fun begins! Take a straw and blow the twigs through it. You will get a beautiful tree that looks very natural!

To make it autumn you can:

Draw a tree on a pre-prepared colored background made in autumn tones Link >>>>

Draw autumn leaves cotton swab or with your fingers

In the last photo, the tree was drawn not by blowing it through a straw, but by using a ready-made drawing printed on a printer. You can download the tree drawing here >>>>

Use a hole punch to make confetti and pour it onto the areas of the design that previously need to be coated with glue.

- make an applique from dry leaves

Using a regular flower sprayer, spray paint mixed with a small amount of water. If you don’t have a spray bottle, an old toothbrush or hard brush can replace it.

You can also try to draw trees that are not of the usual shape, but some unusual, intricate, fabulous ones. For example, these.

This way you can draw a whole autumn forest.

Drawing an autumn forest

Many people are probably familiar with the technique of creating leaf prints on paper. To print a sheet, you can use absolutely any paint, you’ll just get a little different prints. Paint should be applied to the side with veins. You can paint the sheet either with one color or with different colors.
