Take a square of paper and bend it diagonally. The fold line is located at the bottom. The result is a triangle.

Bend the right and left corners to the top so that the figure takes the form of a regular rhombus.

The fold lines and corners that touch along the center line of the rhombus must be turned so that you get two irregular rhombuses on the right and left. (the fold lines will run through the center of the new diamonds).

Bend the protruding parts of the new diamonds on the right and left to the front side (towards you).

Along the fold line (passing through the center of the diamonds), fold the corners of the workpiece so that it is inside.

Those halves of folded corners, which are on the front side, smear with glue and fold the workpiece. Wait until they stick. One flower petal is ready.

For one flower you need 5 such blanks.

For the flower ball you will need to make 12 flowers. Multi-colored or plain - your imagination will tell you.

The next stage is creating the ball.

First you need to assemble 2 halves of 6 blanks each. For convenience, the flowers can be secured with paper clips.

Then connect both halves together. While the flower ball is held in place only with paper clips, the placement of individual flowers can be changed. If the color combination turns out to be successful, then the next step is gluing the flowers together.

The last stage is assembly.

Since the flowers do not fit tightly in the center, you can thread a ribbon or string into this hole. At the end, you can secure it with a beautiful bead or simply tie it with a bow. Kusudama is ready to decorate your life.

The next master class will require more skill and time. The modules for this kusudama are more complex, but the result is worth the time and effort.

Origami superball made of modules.

  • Glue.

The first stage is folding a double square.

Fold the sheet diagonally with the colored side facing out. Expand.

Fold horizontally and vertically with the colored side facing inward. Expand.

Fold the right corner, bring the left side in and fold the left corner.

Slightly spread the workpiece and carefully lower the upper sharp corner inward.

The origami module is ready and you can start creating the ball.

Volumetric balls can be assembled from double modules (you will need 32 pieces) or single modules (you will need 40 pieces). The first ones turn out to be more original.

The double module consists of squares - 9 x 9 cm.

The green modules are made completely as in the master class above, and the yellow ones are made halfway. They must be left at the sharp corners stage and not turned inside out.

    After this, you should expand the figure and proceed to the next step - gluing colorful pages of the ball together. Pages of different colors should be connected in different patterns. The red ones need to be glued together like this: open the red circle and mentally divide it into 6 parts. The upper and lower parts of the left semicircle need to be greased with glue, as shown in the picture, and the middle one should be left untouched. Next you need to connect them with the first and third parts of the right semicircle. After the glue dries, you will get something similar to a “pocket”. Similarly, connect all the red “pages” of the paper ball.

    Then you need to start gluing the blue “pages”.
