Honey was added not only to gingerbread cookies, pancakes and pies, but also alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were made from it.
On this day, according to tradition in Rus', water and natural reservoirs, new wells were blessed, and old ones were cleaned. That’s why I also call honey spad “wet.”
After the “wet Spas” or Macabey, we no longer swam: summer is sunset, the water “blooms,” the birds fall silent, the bees do not wear their fees, the rooks gather in flocks and prepare to fly away.
