How to make a spider web from threads for Halloween

So, to create a web from threads you will need:

  • threads
  • scissors
  • scotch

We start creating a web by stretching the frame. This can be done both at the place where the web will be placed, and on a flat horizontal surface.

As a frame we use the same threads from which we will weave a web. The frame can be made from 2 threads crossed with each other, or you can make many “rays” at once.

Now we can begin to weave our web. We take the thread and fasten it with a knot to the first supporting thread. You can also use this mount:

We pull our thread to the next supporting thread, where we either secure it using a knot or the fastening method in the photo above. And thus, we make as many circles as we deem necessary. At the end, also be sure to secure the last circle with knots.

Now our web can be decorated with spiders and other living creatures;).

We hope that our instructions “How to weave a web from threads” helped you;).

To make a web out of garbage bag you need:

  • trash bag

2. Make a square from each rectangle.

3. Fold the square diagonally and fold the resulting triangle in half 2 more times.

Since the bag is slippery, you can secure it on the side with tape.

4. Draw the following template on the bag, according to which you need to cut out the web.

The tradition of celebrating Halloween has recently entered the lives of Russians. But this interesting, original holiday is never complete without a sea of impressions.

Halloween is a holiday that first appeared among the ancient Celts of Ireland and Scotland. It is celebrated on October 31, the eve of All Saints' Day and, as a rule, it is celebrated in English-speaking countries, as well as in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. But starting from the end of the twentieth century, this day began to be celebrated in many other European countries and in the former Soviet republics. On this day, many people wear scary costumes and decorate their homes and offices with Halloween spider webs.

In preparation for the holiday, houses are usually decorated with cobwebs with spiders, bats, pumpkins, mummies and ghosts. From this article you will learn how you can simply make a beautiful, impressive web with your own hands from various materials: thread, gauze, paper, rope.

Master class: how to make a web from threads or ropes

You will need:

  • piece of plywood:
  • hammer and nails with wide heads;
  • thick black threads (yarn) or rope;
  • black paint.

Work progress:

1. Determine the center of the proposed web and drive a nail there. Almost along the very edge, in a circle, we nail nails on which we will attach the axes of our network.

2. Pull double threads between the center and the nails driven in along the edge.

3. Having retreated 10 cm from the center, we drive a nail near each resulting beam, along the entire circumference.

4. Pull the thread in a circle (along the driven nails). We make 2 more such circles so that there are 3 of them in total. If the size of the plywood allows, then you can make more such circles.

5. Paint all the shiny hats with black paint.

6. Our web is ready, all that remains is to place a giant spider on it.

A web made from threads or ropes will look great. Wool yarn will do. If the threads are thin, then the white cobweb will look faded and unprofitable; it is better to use black.

Stretch six long threads crosswise in the place where you decided to install the composition, secure the ends with pins, nails, and masking tape. Closer to the center, attach a thread of the same color to any ray using a knot.

If you want to make your own spider web hanging in a corner or on a wall, then you need to do this:

1. Pull 6 long threads in the selected place, securing their ends with nails. Using a loop, fasten the thread with which we will weave to any of them.

2. Wrapping our working thread around each axis thread we meet, we make a circle and secure it with a knot at the end.

3. Having retreated 7-10 cm, we make the next ring and so on until the end of the axis thread.

4. Using glue, we plant spiders on the resulting web.

To create a large, voluminous web, you need to take nylon threads, which consist of thin threads and can be stretched. Tangle 3-4 trees nearby with them, ruffling and stretching them as you do so. You can also decorate a chandelier with cobwebs, only this can be done on a polygonal lamp.

You can create such a light, airy version of the web from gauze, but you will have to tinker. It is necessary to stretch each thread of gauze. But the effect exceeds expectations.

Master class: how to make a web from gauze

Do you want to really scare your Halloween guests or tease your neighbors with your skills? Try to create a truly scary and realistic composition for the holiday.

Such a web is suitable both for the facade of a house and for decorating a small apartment inside.

A web made of gauze is win-win. Firstly, the material is accessible and will definitely be available to everyone. Secondly, working with it is easy and simple.

A web of gauze is made if you need to make a strong web that covers a large space: the ceiling, shelves, table and other interior items. Even your workplace can be decorated this way.

  1. Take a large piece of gauze and cut off the required amount of gauze from it.
  2. We stretch it to different sides until it resembles a spider's web.
  3. Use the resulting web to decorate the intended location.

This option is easier and faster - hang the gauze, stretch it slightly or tear it. The effect of realism will be less, so it is worth placing spiders and corresponding attributes on the canvas.

How to get Gray Dusty Web

You will need:

  • gauze;
  • black gouache;
  • basin and stick.

Work progress:

1. Dissolve the black paint well in slightly warm water.

2. Dip gauze into the resulting water. If the gauze does not become gray enough, more dye should be added to the water.

3. Having achieved the required color, wring out the gauze well and hang it out to dry.

4. After it has completely dried, we lay it the way we need it.

Master class: how to make a Halloween spider web from paper

It’s easy to make a paper web based on the principle of New Year’s snowflakes.

You will need:

  • white paper;
  • scissors.

Work progress:

1. Take a regular sheet of paper. Cut a square out of it and fold it in half.

2. Mark the middle of the resulting rectangle (slightly folded in half).

3. Fold the right side of the rectangle into the middle at 45 degrees, as shown in the photo, and iron it well.

4. We do the same on the left side.

5. Using scissors, cut off the protruding edges so that you get a triangle.

6. Fold the resulting triangle in half and iron the fold line well.

7. Cut along the edge with a wave.

8. Using a pencil, draw the cutout lines and cut along them.

9. Carefully unroll the finished web.

The openwork web for home decoration is ready!

How to tie a web for Halloween

You can crochet a very beautiful decorative web, which will add an appropriate ambiance to the setting. Having real cobwebs in the corners is not very pleasant, but such an openwork thing will definitely become the envy of your skill. If you have sufficient knowledge, you can knit such a product.

To work on an easier version, you will need a hook (No. 8470 was used in the example) and yarn. You can choose any color, but the material is suitable with a large amount of polyester. You will notice the difference already when attaching it to the wall, because the material will stretch perfectly. Therefore, the span of the web will take about 30-35 cm, depending on the tension of the threads.

The process will not take much time if you know how to handle a crochet hook. For those who are not new to this matter, we can suggest replacing the first column in each row with air loops. This way your web will become not only more voluminous, but also more realistic.

  • 1st row: 12 tbsp. with a ring over it.
  • 2nd row: 12 tbsp. yarn over and between each stitch there are 2 air loops.
  • 3rd row: 12 tbsp. and between them there are 3 air. p.
  • 4th row: 12 double crochets and 5 chain stitches between each stitch.
  • 5 row: 12 tbsp. with 3 yarn overs, 9 ch between loops.
  • Row 6: 12 st. with 4 yarn overs, 11 chain stitches between each.
  • Row 7: 12 st. with double crochets, 15 ch between each.

It turns out to be a neat, small web on which you can attach its owner, also made from scrap materials, beads, threads, etc. But this is only an approximate size. You can continue knitting as needed.

How to make a wire web for Halloween

There are several options for making a web from wire. For the first one, you will need several branches, which can be found even in the city strip.

Connect them in the middle with wire, and then continue the spiral weaving from the center, securing the thread to each branch. As a result, you will get a composition from the floor natural materials. This definitely cannot be ignored.

More complex options will require perseverance and skill. You will need thick wire. Since the composition is angular, it is necessary to make five “rays”, the outermost of which will be at an angle of 90 degrees relative to each other. The ends can be left straight, but if you wish, curl them, as shown in the photo below. We twist the place where they connect. We stretch the threads of the web across the entire width of the resulting element from one ray to another, etc. It is better to start from the wide part and gradually narrow the distance between the threads. This composition can be decorated with a homemade spider or dry leaves.

The main thing is not what to make a web from, the main thing is to create the right intimidating atmosphere in the room, using for this purpose, which you can also make with your own hands.

Video on the topic of the article

We offer several videos demonstrating how to create a web for the holiday with your own hands. Enjoy watching!

Job description: The work is designed for children from 6-7 years old

The purpose of my work is: development creativity in older children preschool age through artistic work.

Tasks:

1. Development of creative abilities in children, originality of approach to problem solving, ability to freely navigate the world around them;

2. Improvement fine motor skills hands;

3. Formation of skills and abilities to work with various materials, devices and tools;

4. Developing accuracy and independence.

Progress of the lesson:

So let's get started! For work we will need:

1. To make our web: a base, it can be anything, a hoop, a plastic tube connected into a ring, of any size. In our case, it will be a plastic tube connected into a ring. We will also need a skein of twine.

2. For our spider we will need a skein of black yarn, a skein of copper wire (why copper, because it is very soft, it can be given any shape) and a small skein of any colored yarn.

Let's get to work and we'll start with the web:

We take our ring and tie a twine to it in any place convenient for you, then fasten the second end on the opposite side of the ring.

Then, as shown, we make rays from the center of our ring to the edges.

When we have at least eight rays, we can return to the center of our circle and stretch the twine so that we get a spiral.

After you have a web, we need to disguise our ring; to do this, we wind the twine around our ring using spiral movements, as shown in the figure.

And this is what we got:

Let's start making our spider:

We will make three twigs approximately 20 cm long from copper wire (the length of the legs depends on the size of your spider; the larger the spider, the longer the twigs).

Now we carefully push our metal rods into our skein of colored yarn, as shown in the photo.

We take black yarn and wrap it starting from the head, not forgetting about the legs of our spider

On the head of our spider we leave small slits for the eyes, we bend the legs so that the spider looks like a living spider.

It's October outside, and we continue to prepare for the most creepy and mysterious holiday - Halloween. In the previous article, we looked at, and today we will learn how to make classic Halloween crafts with our own hands - the most traditional and bright symbols of this holiday.

Any holiday is primarily about mood and atmosphere. And even more so for something as unusual as Halloween. To create an aura befitting this holiday, give your home a mystical ambiance. We offer several hand-made decor options that will briefly immerse your home in the atmosphere of the other world and mysticism.

The theme of Halloween decorations is unchanged - various kinds of horror, the other world and its characters. And the only bright spot this evening is the pumpkin.

The pagan origins of the holiday are evident, when the signs of autumn served as symbols - bright leaves, harvest, garden scarecrows.

Jack of the Lantern is traditionally made from pumpkin.

According to Celtic legend, a greedy blacksmith, having entered into an agreement with the devil, after death did not end up in either Hell or Paradise, and his soul wandered the earth restless. The devil gave Jack a tiny coal to light his way. The blacksmith, protecting the coal from the rain, hid it in a pumpkin. Since then, it has been believed that such lanterns help homeless souls find their way to Purgatory. In addition, they say that the light of a candle in a pumpkin scares away evil spirits, which from October 31 to November 1 move from the world of the dead to the world of the living.

A Halloween pumpkin can be scary, fancy, or funny. It's a matter of taste and your imagination

DIY Jack Lantern

Materials for work:

  • Bright, medium-sized pumpkin without damage;
  • Sample;
  • Awl;
  • Spoon;
  • Candle,
  • garland,
  • flashlight;
  • Marker;
  • Scotch.

1. Decide what we will use to illuminate the pumpkin. When lit by a candle, cut out the top of the pumpkin; for a flashlight or electric garland, cut off the bottom.

2. Consider the option with a candle. Cut off the cap from the top of the pumpkin in a cone shape.

3.Scrape out the pulp and seeds from the pumpkin.

4. Take the finished template and fix it on the peel (with tape). Using an awl, we draw outlines on the pumpkin according to the template. You can then, for clarity when cutting out, circle them with a marker or felt-tip pen.

5. Cut out the elements of the face along the contours.

6.To add flavor, add vanillin, cinnamon, nutmeg or coffee beans.

7. We carefully secure the candle inside, about 3 times smaller than the size of the pumpkin.

If we are going to cover the pumpkin with a lid - its cut off top, we should drill two or three holes in it to allow the heated air to escape.

When using a flashlight or electric garland, the cut off part will be at the bottom, and place the light source inside.

Halloween wreath for door decoration - video master class

Another of our favorite DIY Halloween crafts is a festive wreath, which is usually hung on the door. You can make it from the most different materials. Only one thing is constant in production - the presence of the mystical attributes of the holiday.

How to make a Halloween wreath with your own hands, watch the video master class below:

Mystical garland for Halloween decor

One of the most budget-friendly options for DIY Halloween crafts is themed paper garlands. They are easy to make even for a child.

We take the paper and fold it into several layers like an accordion. On the first folded sheet we draw a template. Then we cut out a part along it, leaving the sides uncut.

Halloween Templates

Pumpkin patterns

Bloody palm and marks on the floor

Such a “pleasant” trifle will fit perfectly into the overall atmosphere of the holiday.

In a flat bowl, dilute red paint - gouache or watercolor, dip your palm into it and leave your impression on glass or any other surface. Footprints are made in a similar way.

You can cut out foot templates and stick them to the floor with tape.

Less effective, but will save time on cleaning floors

Head in a jar - very scary and realistic DIY Halloween crafts

With this super-realistic holiday “decoration” you can not only surprise your guests, but also quite frighten them.

Find out how to place a severed head in a jar in this video master class:

Vampire candles

Take scarlet gouache or acrylic paint and generously paint the top of the candle around the wick. As the paint burns, it will melt and flow down in “bloody” streams.

Fun Halloween Crafts - Witch Legs

If you have pointed boots, you can make a fun craft using bright striped stockings, the traditional footwear of a witch.

Stockings can be stuffed with holofiber, padding polyester from old pillows, or unnecessary things cut into ribbons. The legs can be hung from the door, placed in a pot and decorated.

Scary glass stickers

Stickers on the glass of doors and windows can be an excellent option for Halloween decor. Print ready-made templates of pumpkin silhouettes, various evil spirits and other mystical characters, cut them out and attach them to the glass. Baking paper is ideal for this, and a whole bunch of different “Halloween” templates can be found on the Internet. Here, for example.

Witch roses - beautiful and terrible

Black roses will bring a little mysticism to the overall Halloween atmosphere. To make them even more creepy, you can decorate them with “blood” by splashing red paint on them.

You can read our other article, the main thing is not to forget to take paper or other material of the appropriate “frightening color” to make them.

DIY Halloween spider web

DIY Halloween crafts turn out to be very unusual and bright; they easily create a very special, mysterious atmosphere in the house that is not found on any other holiday. For example, only on Halloween you can place homemade webs with spiders around the house or hang them in the form of panels!

Materials for work:

  • Disposable plate;
  • Scissors;
  • Hole puncher;
  • Thick threads (wool).

This craft is very simple, so it will be fun to do with your children.

Use a hole puncher to make holes along the edges of the plate and insert threads through them. Then we weave a web from them.

Halloween is a holiday when we, more than ever, can let our imagination and imagination run wild. And making various crafts on Halloween with your child, you thereby allow him to overcome childhood fears. After all, a ghost or monster made together with your mother no longer seems so mysterious and scary.

We hope that the ideas proposed in the article will allow you to fill your home with elegant “Halloween” accessories and give this evening a fabulous and mystical atmosphere.

I'm often asked if I know how to make a DIY Halloween spider web. Now I answer everyone - I know and will tell everyone.

We'll need

To make our cute one, we will need a hoop (hula hoop), yarn of any color, scissors and possibly tape.

By the way, I didn’t have a hoop. I used the remnants of the pipe after repairing the sewer system.

Work progress

First we need to make the base of our web. To do this, you need to attach yarn, threads or ropes to the hoop (whatever you find for your web). I pulled on 6 pieces of light yarn to create 12 radials on the hoop. To prevent the threads from slipping, they can be secured with tape.

I knitted the middle with a piece of yarn.

Next, let's pretend to be spiders and weave a web. You need to cut a large piece of yarn. Fold it in half and secure it to any of the beams. You need to move in a circle, wrapping the thread around each ray. When you return to the beginning, the thread must be secured and cut.

When the whole web was woven, I decided to secure it. I knitted each intersection using threads.

To remove the cobwebs from the hoop, simply cut the warp threads.

I just threw the web onto the curtain; it stayed there even if it wasn’t secured.

The woven web can be placed wherever you want. At first I wanted to hang it in a corner under the ceiling, but the ceilings are very high. I didn't want to bother with a stepladder. That's why I hung the cobweb in the niche.
