Not long ago there was a fashion for crocheted pugs. This may be due to the fact that this breed resembles a stuffed animal. And when a pug puts on a sweater and goes out for a walk, it can be confused with a toy dog. Be that as it may, craftswomen knit overalls, booties and hats for their pets, and then create cute knitted animals.

To knit a toy, you need to think in advance what parts it will consist of. Usually the head is knitted separately: it has the most small parts, so it is convenient to work not with the whole toy, but with some fragment of it. The crochet technique allows you to make changes to the original model during the process without unraveling the product.

Knitted pugs

Cute handmade toys have warmth and tenderness. Because the author made them with love.

There are many crocheted pug patterns. Using the amigurumi technique, babies measuring five to eight centimeters are knitted. This toy can be hung, pinned, or put in your pocket. The process of creating it will take no more than an hour.

Amigurumi is a national traditional Japanese toy. Along with the fashion for Japanese style, these babies also came.

Nowadays you can find many such funny pugs - they are worn on a bag like a keychain, hung above the driver of a car, or decorated in a children's room. Amigurumi – good gift crocheted. A little pug artist, for example.

Cute knitted dogs

To photograph newborns, they make scops owl toys with their eyes closed. They are already bigger size- from ten to twelve centimeters. When the baby grows up, he will happily sleep with his friend.

Souvenir pug toys can have many parts, a wire frame inside, and such toys are made for collections. Play pugs are knitted in a size of twenty-five centimeters. This is a comfortable size for a three to five year old child. This pug can be crocheted or knitted. Such toys should be washed well, so the yarn should not fade.

Universal toy

In order to decide to make a pug with your own hands, several models are selected. It is desirable to combine such qualities as ease of manufacture, ease of washing, and the absence of hard parts. A crocheted pug measuring no more than twelve centimeters satisfies these requirements. It is perfect for collection and for playing. Its small size will allow you to use it as a souvenir; it can live in a bag or pocket.

For beginners, a toy knitted in the round will be difficult: to maintain symmetry, you need to mark each row and count the loops. It is better to settle on a model consisting of two halves connected to each other. The pug toy will turn out a little flat.

Toy parts

The product has two large parts: front and back halves. They are distinguished by the presence of a muzzle pattern on the front part. The photo shows how to crochet a pug: in addition to these details, a pair of ears, a tail and a butterfly are crocheted. The eyes, tongue, nose and eyebrows are done afterwards.

First, the legs are knitted - two identical parts. Starting with eleven loops, knit five rows. Decrease one stitch in each row. Having knitted five rows, close the loops. You will need four of these parts. The ears are knitted in the same way as the legs, only from black yarn. You need to connect two parts.

The ponytail is one row of single crochets, connected on a chain of ten air loops. The thread remaining after fastening the last loop is left about five centimeters long.

The bow tie is knitted from red yarn. For it, cast on ten loops and knit four rows with single crochets, after which the loops are closed. The butterfly is tied in the center with red thread without cutting the ends.

Back and front halves

The belly and back are knitted the same way, only the muzzle is knitted with colored yarn. Cast on loops through the wide sides of the legs, eleven loops each. In total, knitting produces twenty-two loops. Knit six rows and at the end of the sixth row add a chain of three chain stitches. In the next row, repeat the increase. These will be the handles.

The knitting should yield twenty-eight loops. This is how three rows are knitted, after which two loops are decreased on each side. There should be twenty-four loops left. This is how two rows of neck are knitted. Then the front half of the pug is knitted according to one pattern, and the back half according to another.

Crochet back half of a pug: diagram and description

After two rows of the neck are knitted, the head is knitted with beige yarn. Knitting pattern:

  1. 24 loops.
  2. 24 loops.
  3. Add one loop - 26 loops (add one loop).
  4. 26 loops.
  5. 26 loops.

  17. Decrease one loop - 16 loops (decrease one loop).
  18. Decrease one loop - 14 loops (decrease one loop).

After the piece is knitted, it is steamed with an iron and a tail is sewn on.

Pug face

Having reached the neck, the front half begins to be knitted according to the pattern. Two colored threads are introduced to draw the face. When changing colors, the threads are crossed with each other so that there are no empty spaces in the fabric. Like the rest of the toy, the pug’s head is also knitted with single crochets.

Diagram and description:

  • Use a crochet hook to pull out the dark thread after the fifth beige stitch.
  • Knit four stitches and change the thread to beige.
  • Knit six stitches and change the thread to a dark one. Each time the threads are crossed when changing colors.
  • Knit four dark stitches and change the thread to beige. The row ends with five columns.

Knitting a head in rows:

  1. 5 beige, 4 dark, 6 beige, 4 dark, 5 beige.
  2. 5 beige, 5 dark, 4 beige, 5 dark, 5 beige.
  3. Add one loop - 6 beige, 5 dark, 4 beige, 5 dark, 6 beige (add one loop).

  16. Decrease one loop - 18 beige (decrease one loop).
  17. Decrease one loop - 16 beige (decrease one loop).
  18. Decrease one loop - 14 beige (decrease one loop).

The threads used to knit the muzzle are carefully secured. They can be linked together. Sew on the eyes. The nose and eyebrows are embroidered with black yarn, and a loop is made with pink yarn - this is the tongue. Sew on a red butterfly.

How to assemble a toy

After the front and back parts are completely ready, start sewing them together. To do this, beige thread is tied around both parts along the contour, leaving the upper part of the head uncovered - synthetic fluff is stuffed through it. Begin stuffing in small pieces, compacting them in the paws with a pencil. If this is not done, they will hang like flippers.

The body is not stuffed too much so that the toy remains soft. After stuffing the heads, continue and finish stitching the product.

How to sew on ears

Amigurumi toys are traditionally sewn together with sewing thread. They are not visible in the background knitted product, but modern techniques do not use such methods. Pug ears, crocheted, steam with an iron through a damp cloth and check their identity. If after steaming one ear turns out to be larger, you can bandage it.

To assemble separately connected parts, a seam is made without knitting a post. To do this, insert a hook into the outermost loop of the part and one of the loops of the fabric to which it is tied. Fold the end of the thread in half and pull out a loop. Without tying it, the operation is repeated again. Two loops are formed on the hook. Pull the second through the first, as in an air chain. All parts are held together with this seam.

Conclusion

To crochet a funny pug dog, any light yarn will do. natural shades. You will need a little of it, so the product will not be expensive. Instead of ready-made eyes, you can sew buttons, and glue a disk of salt dough onto the holes in their center.

Knitting a toy is always exciting. Invite your child to create a friend and help him make a pug crochet.

Hi all! Today I want to offer you unusual topic, or rather, even this refers to one of my most favorite hobbies. Once upon a time, I was fond of knitting and crocheting. With the birth of my babies, I rarely started knitting, but the moment came when the children grew up a little and I had time to make souvenirs with my own hands.

Today I suggest you knit funny puppies, one might say animal dogs, which will be made using the amigurumi technique. Moreover, it’s just around the corner New Year, but the symbol of next year will be a dog. I hope you like my selection.

I will say right away that I took all the pictures and photos that you will see here exclusively from the Internet, I selected exactly those that I liked the most, and those that are publicly available to everyone.

I’ll start with the simplest and most uncomplicated descriptions of the work to help beginners understand how to knit such wonderful creations, because they are only at the very beginning of the path of handicraft activity.

Of course, I understand that many people like certain breeds of dogs and therefore you would probably want to breed the one you love most. Perhaps you have such a pet living with you, but unfortunately, I cannot provide you with so many diagrams and step-by-step descriptions all breeds of dogs.

1. I suggest knitting for you, first of all, the easiest dog in the amigurumi style, in my opinion.

This is such a mischievous blue puppy that any child will be happy to see.

Knitting stages:

1. First of all, prepare all the tools and materials for work. Tie the legs and body first.

2. Then start decorating and knitting the head.

3. All other parts of the body are knitted separately. Read the instructions and follow all instructions.

2. For the little ones, I want to suggest knitting such a wonderful masterpiece, it’s just lovely, see for yourself:

3. The next option is actually funny, such little cuties and charmers can live in your house. They are cute and very small in size. It won’t take much yarn at all, you can knit a whole bunch of these:

4. You can also crochet a keychain in the shape of a dog.

Don't forget to glue on the nose and eyes, ears and paws. Also, using a needle and thread, embroider the place where the nose is, a vertical strip, you can make eyebrows. To make a tail, you can simply tie a regular lace from loops, and then sew it on where the dog’s butt is))).

5. You can see a fairly simple version of a dog for beginners in this step-by-step photo instructions:

Crocheted amigurumi dogs for the New Year with descriptions and work patterns

I couldn’t ignore this topic, because the holidays are coming, and this is what I found:

All these four options just fell into my soul, I share one of them on the pages of my website in more detail with all the descriptions of the work, from these pictures you can knit such a wonderful dog. If you have any questions, write your comments and reviews.

Start the craft with the paws, tie two identical paws, and then connect them together.

This way they will not be sewn on separately.

After you tie the body, tie two legs and ears, and then a muzzle and a red cap, like Father Frost or Santa Claus.

But the other three master classes, if anyone needs them, write to me, I will send them to your email absolutely free of charge, just leave a comment at the bottom of this article))). I will definitely answer.

And you know what’s the coolest thing: from a brown dog, or rather a template and diagrams, you can make not only a puppy, but other animals, such as a deer, a koala, a bear and a lamb, see for yourself:

The body and head are the same, such a universal layout, just a different design. Great and just a super idea!

Master class crocheted amigurumi dog toys. Videos

Since crocheting puppies is already popular this year, the time has come when 2018 is just around the corner, so I offer you these detailed stories with such bright colorful dogs:

I also suggest you knit an unusual dog or, you could say, a craft in the form of a ball for a Christmas tree:

And here is another video that shows step by step and in detail how to tie up a little pug:

Do-it-yourself white and yellow dog - a symbol of 2018

In fact, the symbol of the coming year will be a dog in light yellow tones, this information is taken from eastern calendar. Although some sources speak specifically about a white dog. I think that in any case, every needlewoman can make such a toy souvenir or talisman.

Since there were different opinions, I found two master classes in two different colors. One is quite easy, the other is a little more difficult, choose the one you like best.

1. A white and gentle-looking puppy named Bobik will decorate any New Year tree or act as a decoration on the holiday table.

2. Well golden color yellow shades, such a cool and super wonderful dog named Romashka can live in your house:

That's all for me, and in conclusion, I want to offer you a bunch of pictures and photos from knitted dogs from young craftswomen. Do you want the same ones for yourself??? Woof-woof)))

Perhaps you didn’t like the options that I showed you before, so choose from these, but here step by step instructions and descriptions with diagrams I can send you free of charge to your email, just write a comment below with a request to send master classes of animals in the form of dogs.

I have such a mischievous family, just super in my opinion!

The selection is large, but how diverse it is.

There are dogs of different breeds, almost all of them, or most of them))).

These include pugs, poodles, mongrels, chihuahuas, bulldogs, Dalmatians, dachshunds, huskies, dogs in the shape of a tilde doll, and even the hero Buddy from the cartoon about the Barboskins, Snoopy. And just for the little ones, there is a pattern for knitting a rattle.

I don't know about you, but I like it.

Look at these charming cuties, there are Bobiki and Balls, and even Barbosik with a smile.

Do-it-yourself crocheted toys have always been valued and will be the most original gifts, and most importantly safe for children and adults.

I think that all dog fans will certainly be happy with this selection. In addition, I got it for free, of course I had to go to different sites and collect it, so I am happy to share it with you, dear guests and readers of the blog. I hope it will be useful to someone))).

By the way, you can send me your photographs of animals through feedback, just write a letter and I will be happy to publish your work here on this site.

That's all for me, I have such a plush and soft selection of toys! See you all! Bye bye!
