Cedar cone made of colored paper. New Year's cones: decorate the house with a silhouette paper cutout Paper cones for cutting

If you dream of being in a fairy tale, take a walk through the winter forest! There is sparkling snow everywhere, and every tree is dressed with frost, through which the evergreen needles can be barely visible. In order for a piece of this magic - a cedar cone on a fluffy branch - to appear in your home, you will need the most ordinary things: a set of colored paper, scissors, PVA glue, a living twig, and most importantly - patience.

Let's start making our New Year's craft with a pine cone. Its volumetric parts are glued onto a round base (d = 6-7 cm). If you don’t have a compass, you can cut a circle around the glass and mark the center by slightly bending the base in four.

Each petal of the cone is a small bag glued together from a square of colored paper measuring 5x5 cm. You will need 67 such squares. To make your craft bright and festive, the petals can be made multi-colored. Elements made of paper with a metallic effect will look very elegant on a New Year's toy.

Glue 8 petals onto the round base so that there is some free space between them. It should be slightly narrower than the width of the petal.

Each subsequent layer of the cone is glued into checkerboard pattern: one part of a new layer between two parts of the previous one. If the cone is colored, you can alternate the color of entire layers or adjacent bags in one layer.

It is unlikely that all 8 petals will fit into the lowest tier. Glue 3-4 pieces there so that the nose of the pine cone is sharp.

The craft is almost ready! But turning it over to the correct position, we will see that the top remains completely unprocessed.

To make the cone even more like the real one, from small bags of green or brown Let's glue a hat for her. The thread needs to be threaded through it even before it ends up on the pine cone.

A small decorative twig will give our pine cone the charm of a coniferous forest.

All that remains is to glue the cap to the round base. To make their surfaces better grip, you can glue a cone with a round bottom into the free space inside the cap.

In nature, cones fall from branches, and we will put it on! A branch of any tree will do, not necessarily a coniferous one. You can also use thick metal wire, but on a living branch the craft will turn out more elegant.

Before a big cone grows on this improvised tree, let's attach several small ones to it.

Take strips of brown paper (about 4 cm wide), wide at one end and narrow at the other.

On the wide side you need to cut small fringes, and on the narrow side large ones, making a triangular corner on each wide “needle”.

We roll up the strips and see how before our eyes they turn into small, but almost living bumps!

Maybe you've seen how artificial spruce trees are made? Green fringe is wound onto the twigs - and the wire takes on the appearance of fluffy pine needles. You need to do the same: first, cut the green paper into strips 4 cm wide.

Fold the strips in half lengthwise and mark their middle. Cut a fairly fine fringe from both edges.

Spread the twig with glue and wrap it with the resulting pine needles.

Getting ready to meet New Year 2017. You can make very beautiful and original cones using the artichoke technique with your own hands together with your children. Master class for children from 7 years old.

We will need:

1. Foam ball blank (in in this case 6 cm in diameter)
2. Glue for foam ceilings (the glue gun and glue immediately corrodes the foam)
3. PVA glue for the initial stage
4. Scissors
5. Sets of paper for origami and just plain double-sided paper
6. Satin ribbon
7. Pins
8. Napkins with a beautiful pattern.
9. Brushes.

Stage 1

Cut out a square of about 6x6 cm from a napkin you like. Remove the white layer from the napkin. Glue the napkin using the decoupage technique to the ball.

Stage 2

Choose paper for your balloon. You can give children complete freedom in choosing patterns.
Cut the paper into 3x3 cm squares.

Stage 3

For the first row, bend 8 squares as shown in the photo.

Stage 4

We glue the free part of the square with ceiling glue and glue it onto our ball, as shown in the figure. First, opposite each other (you can close the middle a little more or, conversely, leave it larger), then two more, just as clearly opposite each other. At this stage, help your child follow the geometry, then it will be easier. Secure the corners with pins.

Stage 5

Now we close the gaps between the first four scales, gradually removing the pins and pushing them into the next scales. The first row is ready.

Stage 6

Let's move on. Now we glue the second row in exactly the same way, first closing those scales that were glued first. And we close further in a checkerboard pattern.
Don't forget to remove the pins, we only need them for better fixation.

Stage 7

Now we have come to the end of the ball. Here you can make not 8, but 4 scales, as shown in the figure.

Stage 8

We make a loop from a ribbon; you can tie a bow, beads, or a spruce twig to it. And, after dripping with glue, we attach it to the ball with a pin. I think you can avoid this pin, then you need to glue the ribbon on top with additional scales or decorations.

Our wonderful New Year's cone for the tree is ready.

Tip 1. Instead of paper, you can use satin ribbon or fabric cut into squares. It also turns out very beautifully.

Tip 2. Some people do not use glue, but use “pins - small pins” to attach the scales. But they are not sold everywhere, and not everyone is pleased to receive a ball stuffed with needles as a gift. I think this is a more “adult” option.

Guys, we put our soul into the site. Thank you for that
that you are discovering this beauty. Thanks for the inspiration and goosebumps.

There is very little time left until the New Year, and it’s time to think about holiday decorations for home. You can buy ready-made options in the store, but it’s much better to make original things with your own hands.

We are in website We think that it’s definitely worth involving children in this activity, and we’ve collected some great ideas for New Year’s crafts.

Snowman made from a sock

You can make these funny snowmen from unnecessary socks. You will need socks, rice for filling, some scraps and buttons. Cut off the toe of the sock and tie it with thread on the other side. Pour in the rice, giving round shape, tighten the thread again and add more rice, forming a smaller ball. Sew on the eyes and nose, make a scarf from a scrap, sew on buttons. And the cut off part will make an excellent hat.

Christmas tree pendants

A cinnamon stick is used as a base; several artificial spruce branches and multi-colored buttons are attached to it using glue. Such Christmas trees will not only decorate your home, but also fill it with the warming aroma of cinnamon.

Deer from traffic jams

Bottle caps are an excellent material for crafts. For example, you can make such a cute deer. You will need some corks, glue and various beads for decoration. It’s not a shame to hang something like this on a Christmas tree.

Crafts from sticks

From ordinary ice cream sticks you can make cute Christmas trees, snowmen and snowflakes. All you need is paint, glitter, buttons and a little imagination. Even the smallest children can handle such crafts.

Christmas trees made of colored paper

You can make such wonderful Christmas trees by making a cone out of green paper or cardboard and decorating it with different things. Buttons, pebbles, beads and various paper figures are suitable.

Potato drawings

Snowflakes made from pasta

Staple the pasta different shapes using glue and cover with silver paint, secure with tape - unusual New Year's snowflake ready.

Snowmen made from lids

Cover metal bottle caps with white paint (it’s better to use acrylic) and glue them together, as shown in the picture. Draw a face on the snowman and decorate it with a scarf made of bright ribbon. If you glue a loop on top of it, you can hang the snowman on the Christmas tree.

Crafts from pine cones

You can make different animals and any other characters from the cones. You will need paints, scraps, buttons and, of course, imagination and inspiration.

Christmas tree made of buttons

Select green buttons of different diameters and a few brown ones for the trunk and secure them with thick thread. Decorate the crown with a star.

Painted balls

Place the wax crayons pieces in a transparent Christmas ball, heat it with a hair dryer, constantly twisting it. When the pencils melt, they will leave beautiful colored streaks inside the ball.

Perhaps every home has a box of New Year's toys. My parents, in addition to modern Christmas tree balls, have several paper toys that my brother and I made as children. Why not add new items to their collection?

Having decided to do Christmas decorations, my choice fell on cones. After all, what is a Christmas tree without pine cones? The easiest way is to make a toy out of paper. I came across many tutorials on making pine cones, but they all used a base that not everyone has. I wanted to make a toy at no additional cost, but only from what is in every home: paper and glue.

So, I’m starting to make paper cones with my own hands. I will describe three options that I made.

1 master class on making a cone without a base

To work you will need thick paper of 1-4 colors. Using the diagram below, we print out all the details. I used 3 colors of paper. Please note that parts 1 and 2 not symmetrical.

  1. I cut out all the details.
  2. On the part in the form of a circle I glue part 2 as shown in the figure. The glue is not applied completely, but somewhere around 2/3, so that the cut on the part is not glued to the mug.
  3. Similarly to the glue, the remaining parts alternate colors.
  4. The result should be the following.
  5. Now the turn comes to part number 1. As can be seen in the figure, I glue it not joint to joint to the second, but by moving it towards the gap.
  6. And so I glue all the parts under number 1.
  7. As a result, I have this beauty.
  8. Now I begin to intertwine the parts so that we get a kind of scales.
  9. By weaving the parts in a circle, you can fix them with paper clips if it is difficult to hold them with your hands. It is especially difficult to detect at the initial stage of lump formation.
  10. When the cone is almost ready, you need to fix the ends with glue.
  11. All that remains is to thread the thread and the pine cone is ready.

2nd master class on making a New Year's pine cone toy with a paper base.

There are quite a few master classes of similar cones on the Internet, but they all use egg-shaped foam bases. I suggest making the base yourself from paper.

According to the given diagram, I cut out 10 parts and, using glue or double-sided tape for paper, assemble an egg-shaped paper model. From experience, I can say that it is better to use double-sided tape, since you don’t have to wait for the glue to dry.

The next step is to cut out squares with a side of 20 mm from colored paper. According to the following pattern, I bend the two ends to form a pentagon. I also cut out a circle with a diameter of 15-20 mm from the same paper.

I glue a circle to the sharp end of the egg. The next step is to glue 4 pentagons with small gaps between them, almost covering the circle.

This is such a beauty.

3 master class. Paper cone

The basis of this cone is the same paper egg as in the second master class. The only difference is that she decorated it with paper circles. Lucky are those who have a hole punch with a large diameter. And those who do not have such a miracle will be forced, like me, to manually cut about 150 circles with a diameter of 18-20 mm with scissors. The work is tedious, but if you turn on the right movie, the time will fly by unnoticed and usefully.

This lump is very similar to the previous one.

Like this, using just colored paper, you can create toys for the Christmas tree.

Almost every person strives to create an atmosphere of a real holiday in their home on the eve of the New Year. After all, this is a special time and you need to enjoy it to the fullest. How can this be made a reality? Get busy decorating your home, and you can make decorations yourself. Let's consider this option as a DIY paper cone for a Christmas tree.

Making a Christmas tree decoration

  1. Colored paper.
  2. Scissors, PVA glue.
  3. Glue gun.

REFERENCE. Such a cone could well become an unusual box for gift wrapping.

How to quickly make a decoration

It is worth noting that the manufacturing process is extremely simple. You can build one, and then many of these cones in the company of children, this will allow you to spend a fun and fruitful evening.

REFERENCE. Let's make one such cone and, having understood the manufacturing process, you can easily make many such fakes. By combining them together, you can make a very nice garland to decorate your home.

  • You will need a foundation. It could be polystyrene foam. It needs to be given the appropriate shape. You can also make the base using the papier-mâché technique.
  • In the next step, you need to move on to making the petals of the pine cone. To do this, take thick paper.
  • Make preparations. Their length should be twice the width.

REFERENCE. You can choose the color of the paper and the design on it, focusing on your personal preferences; there are no restrictions here. If you want to make a fake that looks as much like a real pine cone as possible, choose the appropriate color.

PLEASE NOTE. If you decide to choose the papier-mâché base option, at the manufacturing stage you can place a souvenir inside the blank.

Simple manufacturing option

There is another way to make such a fake. Stock up on brown paper with a simple pencil, scissors and glue. If you look at a real cone, it resembles a flower in cross section. It is based on this that we will assemble the product.

It is necessary to cut out many flower blanks, which should differ in size. The template is shown in the photo. Cut out all these blanks and start assembling your fake.

REFERENCE. To make the process of cutting out flowers go faster, you can fold the paper several times.
