Crochet snake with open mouth description. How to crochet a snake, crocheting snake toys

Step-by-step master class " Crochet snake" - with your own hands. May he bring us good luck in the new year!

Master class on crocheting a snake:

This is my first knitting master class, so don’t judge strictly, ask questions if something is unclear.

We will need regular acrylic crochet threads in any color you like, a little white and a little red. And also, hook 1.5; stuffing; wire and 2 black beads.

Snake body:

1. Knit a chain of 14 loops

2. Tie the chain with non-woven columns (14 columns)

3. Knit straight in the round for 25 rows in a row. In the 25th row, decrease 1 loop.

4. Decrease 1 stitch in every 15th row (in 40; 55; 70; 80 and 100 rows)

5. Then decrease 1 loop in every 10th row (in rows 110 and 120)

6. Decrease 1 stitch in each next row until the end. Close.

We knit the snake's head:

1. Knit a chain of 4 chain stitches. Loop.

3. In the second row, knit 2 stitches from each loop (14 stitches in total).

4. Third row. In each loop, work: 1 tbsp., 2 tbsp. (2 times), 1 tbsp., 2 tbsp. (3 times), 1 tbsp., 2 tbsp. (3 times), 1 tbsp., 2 tbsp. (2 times). Total 24 columns.

5. Knit straight 7 rows.

6. In the 8th row, every 2 stitches, knit 2 loops together (total 18 loops).

7. In row 9, cut to 14 stitches.

8. Knit 2 rows straight.

Stuff your head tightly.

How to tie eyes:

1.Knit a chain of 4 chain stitches with green threads. Loop.

2. Tie the ring with 7 single crochets.

3. In the next row, increase the number of columns (2;1;2;1;2;1;2). Total 11 columns.

4. Knit 2 rows straight, then change the green thread to white and knit 2 more rows straight with white thread.

5. Stuff your eyes with cotton wool.

5. In subsequent rows, knit 2 loops together until 3 loops remain. Close and “hide the ends in the water.” You should end up with two balls like this:

We take a wire twice as long as the body of our snake, fold it in half, twist it and insert it into the body. Little by little we stuff our snake evenly.

We sew the head to the body, the eyes - to the head, the pupils - beads - to the eyes.

In the place where our knitted snake will have a tongue, we thread 2 red threads and braid them into a braid - a spikelet.

The crocheted snake is ready.

Now we have our own snake - the symbol of 2013.

May it bring us good luck in the new year!

P.S. The master class is intended for personal use. Publication on other Internet resources is possible only with an active link to this page.

Today we will succumb to the general snake craze, and at the same time we will practice knitting the pattern that we looked at yesterday... The Internet is now absolutely teeming with various “bastards” on the eve of the New Year 2013, which, as we know, will be the year of the SNAKE. And we won’t lag behind)))... Let’s knit a snake))) on the knitting needles... Pressed pattern... At the same time, let’s look at the properties of this pattern)))

snake with knitting needles - how to knit

So, we will need:

  1. Leftover yarn in two colors (according to your wishes), I have green and yellow...
  2. Knitting needles - 2 pieces (I have number 3)
  3. Sintepon or any other filler
  4. Eyes (you can do without them)
  5. Needle

Let's get started!

  • We put 70 loops on the knitting needles in any way and knit one row with purl loops. (purl row) Green thread.
  • Next we will knit with a pressed pattern, but not the whole snake, but only its body or tail, I don’t know what grows there after its head)))

To form the head, remember that the first 15 loops will not be included in the pressed pattern. And they will always be the main color - mine is green, we will change the thread after the head loops.

We knit them Always in front rows with loops, in purl rows - .

1 row (green) — we knit 15 knit stitches, then we start the pressed pattern, i.e. we remove the 16th loop as a knit stitch (thread at work). We knit the 17th stitch, etc. Who has forgotten how to do this, read the article

Row 2 (green) -We knit the purl row “according to the pattern”, don’t forget about the head))) Purl the last 15 stitches. 3rd row - 15 head loops - knit (green). 55 stitches in a pressed pattern, but add 1 stitch at the end of the row (to form the tip of the ponytail) - yellow.

4 row -56 loops with a pressed pattern (the added loop is always purl, so that there is no hole))), yellow, 15 loops (green) - purl loops
Already after you knit two rows (rows 3 and 4) with a contrasting thread, you will see that the head forms by itself without any additions. This is because the density of the pressed pattern is much greater than that of the stockinette stitch...")))...
When replacing colors on the wrong side, twist the threads together (also to avoid holes)))
5th and 6th rows- green according to the same pattern as rows 3 and 4

7th and 8th rows- head is green, tail is yellow

etc. until 13 rows.(a total of 5 loops added)

V 13th row we don't make increases...but with 14 we begin to decrease the tail... 1 loop at the beginning of each purl row, but otherwise everything is the same))) we knit like this 22 row inclusive... (a total of 5 loops were reduced)

23 row- green, all facial

24 row- green purl all

25 row

This is such a detail)))
Now you need to carefully sew it together using a needle or hook (as you like). Try to make the stripes match... Sew the entire side seam, leaving the end part unsewn, do not break the thread (we will need it)
Turn the part inside out, stuff it with padding polyester, tighten the edges of the hole...using the same thread that was left behind). You can, of course, put a wire inside, but this is at your discretion))) I don’t particularly like this, because a soft toy should be SOFT, but, as you know, “there are no comrades according to taste and color”)))
You will get a carcass like this)))... That's it!... Now we are busy with the design and decoration)))
We mark the place where we will sew the eyes. Using a needle and thread, we create relief for the eyebrows. We sew on the eyes or embroider...or crochet and sew...

We hide all the extra threads))) The result is a knitted snake.

Now let’s imagine how we can decorate this snake...
You can put a hat on your head... You can put a scarf on your neck... Or you can sew 2-3 pom-poms on the tail and you will get a rattlesnake)))

FANTASY, GENTLEMEN, FANTASY)))…

New Year 2025 is coming soon! To successfully meet it, you need a mandatory attribute of the symbol of the year - a snake. We bring to your attention a master class that will help you knit a cute couple. Due to their small size, snakes can not only be used as a gift, but also serve as a wonderful addition to a holiday table setting.

Take “Narcissus” yarn (or any other) in the desired colors

And let's see how to crochet the Georgian Givi snake

Knitting the nose:

  • Take a white thread and knit a chain of 3 chain stitches and connect.
  • 1 v.p. to make a rise (and further in each row), from each ch. knit 2 single crochets = 6 loops.
  • From each v.p. knit 2 single crochets = 12 p.
  • From every third loop - 2 st.b.n. = 18 p.
  • Now we will knit 4 rows with single crochets.
  • Reduce by knitting only every second stitch = 9 sts.

Eye area:

  • We knit 8 stitches, unfold and knit 7 stitches in the opposite direction. Unfold and knit 6 stitches... And so on until 4.

Head:

  • We knit 3 rows of 21 loops in a circle.
  • We knit 15 stitches, unfold and continue knitting in the opposite direction for 14 stitches... So up to 5 stitches.
  • We tie the entire product in a circle = 30 p.
  • To make a decrease, knit stitches every other = 15 stitches.

Torso:

  • We knit 10 rows.
  • Without cutting the white thread, tie the green one and knit 10 rows.

  • Without cutting the green thread, knit 10 rows with white thread...
  • So 7 times.

We stuff the snake with some foam rubber and insert wire as a frame.

  • On the last green section, cut off the white thread and begin a gradual decrease: we knit rows, skipping every third stitch. Close the product, cut the thread, hide the tip.

How to crochet a snake “Tuta’s Daughter”

Crocheting such a snake will not be difficult, especially if you have already crocheted the previous snake.

Spout:

  • Take a blue thread and make a chain of 3 air loops and connect.
  • From each v.p. knit 2 single crochets = 6 stitches;
  • From every third loop - 2 st.b.n. = 9 p.
  • We knit 4 rows with single crochets.

Eye area:

  • We knit 6 loops with white thread, unfold and continue knitting 5 loops in the opposite direction. And so on until 2. Cut off.

Head:

  • We knit 2 rows of 16 stitches in a circle with blue thread.
  • We knit 9 stitches, unfold and continue knitting in the opposite direction for 8 stitches... So up to 4 stitches.

  • We tie the entire product in a circle = 16 p.

Torso:

  • We make the required number of single crochets side by side, approximately 20-25 cm.
  • We fill it with foam rubber and insert the wire.
  • Close the product, cut the thread, hide the tip.

Attributes:

Givi's lower lip: tie a white thread under the spout.

We knit 7 rows of 10 single crochets, row 8 – we knit stitches one after another.

Sew on the eyes: Givi has buttons, Tuta has beads.

Cap for Givi: connect an air chain of 3 loops, expand, gradually adding loops: first row - 6 loops; second – 12; third – 15 p.; fourth – 18; fifth – 21; sixth 24; seventh – 28; seventh – 32; eighth –36; ninth - 40. In the tenth, to reduce it, we knit only every second stitch. For the visor we knit 10 loops, unfold it and knit the other side 9 loops, then 8. Close it, cut the thread and hide the tail.

Scarf for Givi: cast on 20-30 loops, 1 loop for lifting, knit 3 rows with single crochets.

Tongues: for Givi it is a chain of 10 loops, knitted with double crochets; Tuta’s is just a thick thread, threaded in and tied several times.

Braids: 6 strands of orange color, 10 cm each. Thread and braid, make bows from blue thread.

We seat the snakes, giving them the desired shape.

We hope our master class: How to crochet a snake will be as useful as possible for you! Good luck and creative mood.
