Crochet red cat diagram and description. A master class with a description and photo will show how crocheted toys are made - a knitted cat

Knitting a cat with knitting needles is not at all difficult, the main thing is to choose the right model. Cats are knitted on two or 4 knitting needles. It is also important to understand that the smaller the cat, the more elaborate the work will be. Large cats are also a little difficult to knit for those who don’t like long projects. If you are knitting a cat for the first time, then choose a medium-sized model with a minimum set of parts (for example, the body and head can be a single part, or they can consist of three parts).

Which yarn to choose for knitting a cat?

The choice of yarn depends on the description you like. After all, if a cat imitates a living toy, then the yarn should be as close as possible to the natural color scheme. Perfect fit fluffy yarn such as grass or yarn with angora.

If your toy is completely fictional, then the yarn can be of absolutely any color. Select the thickness of the yarn according to the description of the knitted toy.

Eyes for a cat

The realism of a knitted cat also depends on the eyes. Eyes can be embroidered with yarn or made from felt if a child will play with your toy. We recommend that you don’t skimp and buy realistic eyes for toys in a specialized store. These eyes are attached with screws and are durable.

Filler for a knitted cat

Most often, needlewomen use synthetic winterizer or holofiber as a filler. Cotton wool in toys is a thing of the past. It tends to roll and clump. Washing toys filled with cotton wool is also inconvenient. You can also use foam rubber as a filler if it is necessary for the toy to keep its rigid shape.

We have prepared a selection of 25 patterns of knitted cats large size and small cats, choose according to your taste. You can also knit a pillow in the shape of a cat or a scarf.

Knitting cat, ideas from the Internet

Knitted toy “Cat in Love” from Olga Morgunova

I suggest you knit a shy cat in love :)

He will purr serenades in your ear, love you forever and wait for reciprocity.

The toy is knitted in the round on four needles. The head, upper and lower legs are movable, on thread hinges.

The size of the cat is 32 cm.

Legend:

  • Persons = facial;
  • Out. = purl;
  • Arr. = increase (we knit first behind the front wall, then behind the back wall);
  • ub. = knit 2 together;
  • r. = row;
  • n. = loop;
  • stockinette stitch - odd rows are knitted facial loops, even rows - purl.

Required materials:

  1. Four sock needles to match your yarn. For toys, I recommend taking knitting needles thinner than indicated on the thread label. For the toy I used size 3 knitting needles.
  2. Gray yarn (I used two shades of yarn, a lighter one for the body and head, a darker one for the paws, ears and tail, adding a kid mohair thread to it).
  3. Dark gray or black yarn for claws, eyebrows, mouth.
  4. Stuffing (holofiber).
  5. Long needle for assembly.
  6. Marker for counting rows (you can use a paper clip).
  7. A pair of eyes.
  8. Some wool for felting (for the nose).
  9. Needle for felting.
  10. Mustache line.
  11. A piece of red felt (for the heart and tongue).

Village cats knitted

So, necessary materials:

  • # Any yarn, you can use leftovers - small skeins. I don’t know what a cat will look like from a very textured yarn, like grass, but you can take a chance and see what happens!
  • # Particularly strong thread for tightening the body-head, you can choose the thread to match the color of the yarn, you can simply cover the tightening area with a bow or scarf.
  • # Two beads, suitable in size and color for the eyes (if the cat is black, for example, the eyes should preferably be lighter, the black beads will not be visible).
  • # Button on the leg, suitable in size for the nose. The nose can be tied or felted if there is no button.
  • # Filling (holofiber, synthetic fluff or synthetic polyester).
  • # Any little thing for decoration (this is up to your taste).

Required tools:

  • hook to match your yarn
  • 4 stocking needles, choose the size yourself to suit your yarn.
  • sewing needle and scissors.

The cat is not only one of the favorite pets that people simply adore, but also a symbol of femininity and independence. Cats can become your reflection. For those people who are partial to these animals, I would like to suggest tying a cat. The cat will be very bright and funny. For the cat you will need:

  • yarn in black, orange, white colors;
  • hook;
  • sewing needle;
  • padding polyester;
  • two beads;
  • glue.

It is not at all necessary to knit a cat in orange. You can also take some calmer shade, for example, white or gray. It all depends on desire and mood. And if you want to get a tabby cat, then you can alternate the colors of the yarn. Well, the first thing we will start knitting will be the torso. To do this, take orange yarn. Let's close the circle of three loops. And we will knit 6 single crochets inside. Then we will perform two single crochet stitches in each stitch of the knitted row. In the first stitch there is one single crochet, in the second there are two single crochets, one single crochet, two single crochets in the stitch. So we alternate. And in the next row we will change the sequence, first two single crochets in one loop, then one column, so on in turn. Now we knit 1 single crochet in each stitch. Using this principle, we knit six rows in a row. We continue to knit with orange yarn. Let's make an increase. In one stitch - one single crochet, in the other - two single crochets, one column, two columns, so on until the end of the row. We knit five rows in a row in the 1st column without a crochet. We continue to knit, but with decreases. In each row that we will knit next, you need to make five decreases. And when there is a very small hole left, we stuff the body with padding polyester. Now the base for the cat is ready. For further work we will take black threads. We knit the ear. We cast on 10 loops and connect them into a ring. We knit ten single crochets inside. Next row along the 1st column in st. Next we make two decreases in a row. The next one has two more decreases. And we finish knitting the ear. We will tie the second ear in the same way. What's a cat without a tail? Although these are not so rare. But we will still tie a tail for our cat. To do this, take yarn of black and orange colors. Let's start with black threads. We collect three loops and connect them into a circle. Six single crochets in a circle. So along the 1st column without a crochet we knit three circles in a loop. Next we use orange thread. But we knit everything according to the same pattern, according to the 1st column in the pet-ku. The tail can be tied to any length. Either long or short, whatever suits your taste. Almost all the elements for the cat are ready. Let's move on to one of the most important parts - the muzzle. We take white yarn. We cast on a chain of three loops, in each we knit 1 single crochet, then we make an increase, in the first loop - two single crochets, then one, and in the last - again two single crochets. Next along the 1st column without a crochet. And we tie the whole part in a circle. Using the same pattern we knit another similar element. Well, let's start sewing all the parts into place. We will embroider the cat’s nose with black threads using a regular needle. I made the eyes from ordinary beads, but there are many options. You can also link. We will make the antennae with black thread. We take a needle and stitch it through the cat’s face. This is the kind of red-haired prankster we have. You can give it to one of the lovers of these cutest creatures. This cat will be able to decorate the house and cheer you up. And it may well become a gift for one of your closest people.

Kitty Kitty

Let's talk today about how to knit a Kitty cat for a girl using threads, a crochet hook and your own imagination. Master class by Lyudmila Alexandrovna.

To work we will need:

  • white and pink threads,
  • eyes,
  • glue,
  • regular thread with a needle,
  • wires for hands
  • and filler.

The time to make a toy is approximately 3 hours (for beginner craftswomen, perhaps about 4.5 hours). Level of preparation for knitting: slightly above elementary.

Act one. Let's start with the head.

In any business you need to start from the head. At the same time, we do not need a circle for knitting, but an oval, because the head will have an unusual oval shape.

Photo 1 shows the beginning of knitting the head.

When about 7 cm is knitted, we close the knitting and get a head like this (photo 2).

Act two. We make the ears and muzzle.

What a cat without ears! Our beauty needs them too. In order to knit the ears, we knit two loops together and start knitting in the round, gradually increasing them to form a hemisphere. We repeat everything again and get ears like this.

Now we have both ears and a head. We sew the parts to each other. Also, don’t forget to glue on the half-bead eyes.

Using black thread we embroider the mouth and mustache, and using pink thread we make a charming nose.

Act three. Making the body.

Our cat's body will be pink. It needs to be made 8 cm high. The shape of the body is a bit like a pear; at the bottom you need to knit the wider part, gradually decreasing the loops towards the top.

When the part is ready, you need to fill it with filler and sew the body to the head. Also, for beauty, you can knit a small pink flower, sew a bead inside, also pink, and decorate the cat with it.

In order to give Kitty the look of a real cat, you need to knit a skirt for her from pink threads and sew it to the body.

Act four. Kitty's hands.

Now you need to make the front legs for Kitty.

First we thread the wire through the places of the hands. Then we start knitting the paws. To do this, you need to knit a chain of 8 loops, called air loops, and then knit a height of 6 cm.

Repeat everything with the other hand. Here they are, Kitty's hands.

This is how our kitty Kitty looks now. However, she lacks hind limbs, which we will call legs.

Act five. Legs.

In order to tie the feet, you need to make pink Kitty boots. To do this, knit in a circle using a pink thread, and then knit a sock. We repeat everything again, and we get the following.

Now using white thread we knit the shin and knees. Their height should not exceed 4 cm.

Now in Kitty’s body we insert wires into the places of future legs.

We sew pink shoes and feet together and stuff them with stuffing. Sew the legs to the body. And now our Kitty is completely ready.

Look how it turned out. A beautiful and cute toy, isn't it?! Her paws are bending.

May you also get the same cute cat!

13 - 20 rows. 20 sc. (photo 12)

Let's make a second boot and fill both with padding polyester or holofiber (whatever synthetic fillers you have). It is necessary to fill it so that the sole does not bulge, but the figurine’s legs are not too soft. (photo 13)

Trousers

For the pants we take green yarn and continue to knit with it above the boots. In our case, the yarn is melange with shades of camouflage).

1 row. 20 sc.
2nd row. 20 + 6 = 26sc. Let's add every fifth column.
3rd row. 26 + 4 = 30sc. We will distribute the increases evenly.
4 row. 30 - 6 = 24sc. Decrease every fourth column.
5 -18 rows. 24 sc, turn and make 6 sc and 1 runway (lifting aerial loop) three times. We knit such protrusions with inside on both legs. (photo 14, 15)

Let's fold both parts with protrusions and connect them with connecting posts (cc) (photo 16)

Row 19 Let's combine everything in one circular row 42 sc.
20 -25 rows. 42sbn. Straight knitting. (photo 17)

26 row. 42 - 3 = 39 sc. We skip 2 sc from the back, and 1 sc from the front.
27 row. 39 - 3 = 36 sc. Let's repeat the decreases in the same way.

Body

30 - 34 rows. 36 sc. Let's start with the vest. One row is blue, one is white. (photo 19)

Row 35. 36 + 6 = 42 sc. Increases every sixth.
36 - 38 rows. 42 sc.
Row 39. 42 rows. Here we will take gray yarn and continue knitting, but we will not hook the entire column, but only its inner half. (photo 20)

40 - 41 rows. 42 sc.
43 row. 42 + 2 = 44 sc. Let's add on the chest side.
44 row. 44 sc.
45 row. 44 - 2 = 42 sc. Let's reduce it at chest level where we added it.
46 row. 42 - 6 = 36 sc.
47 row. 36 sc. (photo 21)

48 row. 36 - 4 = 32 sc. We make decreases strictly on the shoulders: 2 on the left, 2 on the right.
49 row. 32 - 4 = 28 sc. Decrease in the same way as row 48.
50 row. 28 - 4 = 24 sc. We also place reductions. You can fill the shoulders and chest with sitepon. (photo 22)

51 row. 24 - 2 = 22 sc. Let’s also decrease left and right, this is where the neck begins.
52 - 53 rows. 22 sc.
Row 54. 22 - 2 = 20 sc. (photo 23)

Head

Row 55. 20 + 4 = 24 sc. Let's start with the head.
56 row. 24 + 6 = 30 sc. Two in every fourth column.
57 row. 30 + 6 = 36 sc. Two in every fifth.
58 row. 36 + 6 = 42 sc. Two in every sixth.
59 - 62 row. 42 sc. (photo 24)

63 row. 42 - 6 = 36 sc.
64 row. 36 - 6 = 30 sc.
Row 65 30 - 6 = 24 sc.
66 row. 24 - 6 = 18 sc.
67 row. 18 - 6 = 12 sc.
68 row. 12 - 6 = 6 sc. Let’s close the knitting using the “through the column” method, i.e. we knit through the post until the hole closes, cut off the thread and hide it inside. (photo 25)

Vest

We still have an unfinished vest. When on the 39th row we switched to a gray thread, we left the outer side of the column free. Let's continue knitting 42 sc on the outer thread in white. (photo 26)

1 row. 42 sc. White all round.
2nd row. We knit in blue until the middle of 16 sc, tying a white thread inside the row. (photo 27)

3rd row. 15 sc. Turn and change the thread to white, knit blue inside the row.
4 row. 15 sc. Blue row, white is knitted.

10 row.4 sc. Blue.
11 row. 3 sc. White.
12 row. 2 sc. Blue, cut both threads and repeat the same operation with the second front strap.
Now let's do the same from the back.
1 row. It was all-round white.
2nd row. 14 sc We knit with a blue thread, departing from the front blue row of 5 columns. (photo 28)

3 - 7 row. 14 sbn. We alternate white and blue rows.
8 row. 4 sc. Blue.
9 row. 3 sc. White.
10 row. 2 sc. Blue. It is necessary to repeat the second shoulder part of the backrest. (photo 29)

Hands

For the hands, take a gray thread. Let's make an amicable ring again.
1 row. 6 sc. (photo 30)

2nd row. 6 + 6 = 12 sc.
3rd row. 12 + 6 = 18 sc.
4 row. 18 + 6 = 24 sc.
5 - 8 row. 24 sc. (photo 31)

9 row. 24 - 6 = 18 sc.
10 row. 18 - 6 = 12 sc. (photo 32)

11 - 16 row. 12 sc.
17th row. 12 + 4 = 16 sc.
18 - 19 rows. 16 sc.
20 row. 16 + 2 = 18 sc.
21 row. 18 sc. (photo 33)

22 row. 18 - 6 = 12 sc.
23 row. 12 sc. Let's make an elbow: turn, 3 sc, (photo 34) turn, 2 sc,
24 row. 12 sc.
25 row. 12 + 6 = 18 sc.
26 - 28 rows. 18 sc. (photo 35)

30 - 32 rows. 20 sc.
33 row. 20 - 4 = 16 sc.
34 row. 16 - 4 = 12 sc.
Row 35 12 - 6 = 6 sc. And then we’ll close our knitting. Let's sew the arms to the body, sew the shoulder seams of the vest, embroider a buckle on the strap with orange thread, and make “fingers” on the paw. (photo 36)

Ears

For the ears we take the same thread that was used for the arms and head.
1 row. 6 sc.
2nd row. 6 + 3 = 9 sc.
3rd row. 9 + 3 = 12 sc.
4 row. 12 + 3 = 15 sc.
5 row. 15 sc. Cut the thread and make a second ear. (photo 37) Sew it on.

How many cats have you already bonded? One, three, ten, a hundred? Experienced craftswomen They probably won’t even be able to name the exact number, because cats are not only the most popular animal on the Internet, but also the most connected creatures - there are a lot of descriptions of mustachioed-striped purrs. Even novice amigurumers most often take up a hook and yarn precisely for the sake of this very capricious, terribly cute domestic creature. We hope that the description of our new crochet ginger cat will also make someone grab their tools and knit, create, create, and then delight their friends, relatives and loved ones with an unusual souvenir that you cannot buy in a store for any money! This red cat serves as a refrigerator magnet. But you can use it however you like! Funny kid, isn't he?

A cat extinguishes negative energy and brings peace and comfort to the house. Whatever form it is in: living, porcelain or knitted from threads, it is pleasant and easy to work with it. Crochet a pussy pillow and you will get rid of insomnia. In addition, the process of knitting itself very well calms the nervous system.

Cat Matroskin at rest

He teased Sharik the cat, milked Murka the cow, ate sour cream and sat down to rest in the sun. He sits, purrs, licks sour cream from his mustache.

Let's tie up such a handsome guy and put him in the children's room.

To work you need to prepare:

  • skein of white yarn;
  • skein of gray yarn;
  • a little pink yarn for the nose;
  • two buttons;
  • hook;
  • thread and needle;
  • padding polyester

Cat knitting pattern

Let's start working from the head. We need to knit two identical halves. The pattern is simple: starting from the middle, you need to knit two flat circles with a diameter of 10 cm. Having finished weaving identical circles, we sew them together, leaving a small hole. Fill it with padding polyester and sew up the hole.

Torso. We start crocheting from the bottom of the cat. We cast on 6 loops and from them in a circle, adding loops, we knit a sleeve with a diameter of 10 cm. Every 2 rows we subtract 1 loop, so that at the neck the sleeve becomes 6 cm in diameter, and the body itself is 14-15 cm high. We stuff fill the torso and sew it to the head.

Paws. The knitting patterns for the hind and front paws are the same. We crochet a tube with a diameter of 3 cm and a length of 8-10 cm in a circle, expanding slightly towards the end. We stuff 4 knitted paws with padding polyester and sew them to the body. Moreover, we attach the hind limbs, moving them slightly forward so that the cat can sit comfortably.

The knitted tail represents long sleeve 2 cm in diameter, filled with padding polyester as knitting progresses. Sew on the tail.

We crochet a pink nose and sew it onto the muzzle, adding filler.
We knit the ears in a triangle, not hollow. For rigidity, you can simply take a double thread.
We attach button eyes, ears and embroider a mustache.

Cushion

Another tabby cat, Matroskin, may be waiting peacefully for you in the corner of the sofa. A soft mustache-tailed pillow is crocheted in the round from the bum with a continuous sleeve. It is not necessary to use only two colors, as dictated by the description.

Imagine that the paws, tail and face of the cat are Matroskin himself, and the striped part of the pillow is his vest. That is, the cat’s head, knitted ears and limbs can be of any color.

Igrun cat

This cheerful pink kitten is distinguished not only by its playful disposition, but also by its shape. His head is knitted in the shape of a diamond.

The hind legs thicken at the hips and are sewn to the body not at the end, but at the side. It is recommended to insert a wire into them, running in an arc across the cat’s body. In the middle of the arc, tie another piece of wire to it for the tail. Bend all three ends with loops so that they do not break the knitting.

Now your pink toy cat will be able to hold his tail in a hook and stand firmly on his hind legs.

Anti-stress cat

This toy has double power against negativity. Firstly, it is made in the shape of a cat, and secondly, it is a ball that can be thrown at an irritant. If you crochet several of them, you can make a whole cat mess.

The scheme is very simple. Take any ball (rubber, plastic) and tie it around. Then sew two ear triangles, two bead eyes and embroider a mouth. Don't forget the long tail to make it clear that this is a cat.

Knitted rattle

A rattle cat is knitted using exactly the same pattern, only what is put inside is not a ball, but a chocolate egg capsule. For a sound effect, you can put a couple of beads or peas in it.

Knit the legs and tail, sew them to the body, decorate the face with ears, nose and eyes. A whole family of motley kittens can be created in just one evening.
