Patterns for felt stars for the New Year. Educational for children

In order to make New Year's toys from felt, you do not need to be able to sew or draw well, just scraps of colored felt, thread and your imagination are enough.

Christmas toy made of felt “Christmas tree”

For this toy, take felt scraps, any filler (cotton wool or padding polyester), scissors, glue stick, sewing supplies, decorations (beads, ribbons, buttons, etc.).

Draw on a piece of paper (or better yet, cardboard) and cut out a template for the Christmas tree in 2 copies: one for the base, and the other for the front part, which will consist of pieces, and for the base the blank should be a little larger.

Carefully cut the second piece of cardboard into pieces.

Cut felt pieces along the second piece and 2 copies for the base from solid pieces of felt along the first. Now use a glue stick to carefully glue the pieces of felt to the base as it was on your template.

Using different seams and colored threads, sew the pieces to the base and sew them together, do not forget to go along the edges. You can sew on buttons or beads.

Now sew the base with the sewn pieces and the base without them using a seam over the edge. Fill with stuffing and attach a ribbon so you can hang the toy on the Christmas tree.

In this way, you can make not only a Christmas tree, but also other New Year’s toys from felt: a Christmas ball, a boot, a star, etc.

New Year's felt toy "Owl"

A soft, cute owl will take its rightful place on your Christmas tree. You will also need colored felt, scissors, sewing supplies, and stuffing. Using the pattern, cut out the owl parts from felt in the quantities indicated on the pattern.

Place the pieces on the owl and secure them with glue if necessary. Place the eyes and beak first, then the overlapping tiers of feathers. Use small stitches to attach the pieces to the base of the owl. Lastly, the wings are sewn on. Then connect the front and back parts of the owl, stuff it with stuffing and sew it up, not forgetting to attach a ribbon on top for hanging on the tree.

Simple Christmas toys made of felt

You can simply take various scraps, make templates (birds, Christmas trees, animals, mittens, snowmen, fish, hearts, etc.), cut out 2 parts of each template and sew them together with contrasting thick threads with a seam over the edge, not forgetting to stuff with filler and attach ribbons.

You can tie small scarves on snowmen and make eyes out of beads, just like animals, and on Christmas balls You can embroider snowflakes with simple stitches.

Small (3-4 cm) toys, of which there are a lot, look especially cute on the Christmas tree - they look like Lilliputians emerging from their houses on New Year's Eve.

Felt Christmas garland

Take scraps of multi-colored felt and cut them into strips of equal length and thickness. Now take one strip and sew its ends together into a ring. Now take the next strip, thread its end into the ring you sewed and also sew up its ends. String the links onto the chain in this manner until you get tired of it or until you run out of felt. The shorter the stripes are, the better the garland will keep its shape. The ideal size of the strips is 1 x 6 cm.

If you have mastered the proposed toys, take on more complex and interesting ones. For example, these cattle terriers can be given to a dog lover.

Here are two simple options for felt penguin toys.

And a little more complex squirrel and chipmunk.

Felt embroidery gives you many opportunities to create volume and texture on your toys. For example, this cozy curled up fox is not at all difficult to make, but thanks to the embroidered design it looks like it’s alive.

Benefits of felt toys

A gift, however, is not only a gift, but in general, something made with one’s own hands is already valuable. To create beauty, make someone you love happier, surprise others - you don’t need to spend a lot of money. It has been proven that things created with your own hands are the most expensive gift. So why not make this gift out of felt? This is a very flexible and plastic material from which you can create anything and such a product will be colorful and extraordinary.

However, this is not the only advantage of felt toys. Many young parents will be happy to discover that felt toys cannot break, like glass toys, for example, and therefore do not need to constantly monitor that the baby does not knock over the Christmas tree and cut himself on the broken ones. Christmas balls. By the way, the same applies to cat owners.

Felt toys can be stored for years. They will not fade, will not fade, will not lose their uniqueness, will not go out of fashion. A Christmas tree decorated with hand-sewn toys always looks very elegant. And you can be sure that no one else will have such a Christmas tree.

Well, and, perhaps, the most important advantage of felt Christmas toys is that they cost pennies compared to glass ones. If you don't like the toy, you can simply throw it away or remake it, and you won't be sorry for the money you spent.

It is not known for certain when exactly felt was invented. According to scientists, this material already existed in the 18th century. Several felt products were found by specialists in the Altai Mountains and Siberia. Local residents decorated clothing and household items with this material.

We sew the toy ourselves

You have finally decided to make Christmas tree decorations with your own hands. Even without sewing experience or skills in working with templates and patterns, you can create a unique little thing in a couple of hours that will become a highlight in decorating the New Year's tree. First you need to decide what exactly you will create: select patterns of figures that seem most interesting to you. You can create anything from thick felt sheets: hanging boots, snowflakes, Christmas trees, balls, funny images of animals, and, of course, the symbol of the coming 2019 - a pig.

Materials for making felt Christmas tree toys

To create a unique image for your Christmas tree, you will need available tools that every housewife has in her everyday life:

  • several pieces of felt of different colors;
  • sharpened scissors;
  • various small decorations (sequins, beads, rhinestones, ribbons, buttons, sparkles, beads);
  • cardboard;
  • foam;
  • pencil;
  • markers;
  • thread/floss;
  • glue.

In fact, it is not necessary to collect all these items at once. A set of necessary materials is prepared depending on the type of toy being made. Felt products can be flat or voluminous. The most simple toys made of felt - flat. Their production involves transferring the template onto the material, which is subsequently cut out and decorated - the toy is ready. If this option is too mediocre for you, then we suggest sewing a voluminous toy. For such a product you will already need a filler. And although it will take more time to make it, the effect of such decoration will be more significant.

Technique for making felt toys

Working with felt is easy. This material is a compressed fine wool with added fluff. It is the down that makes felt soft, compared to felt, which felt is very similar to. Previously, felt was used to insulate winter hats and shoes. Today, the boundaries of the use of felt have expanded in many ways - designers and hand-made artists are happy to use dense but soft multi-colored sheets of felt.

Felt is easy to cut - its edges do not fray along the cut line, it cuts “like clockwork.”

The simplest felt toys are flat. They can be one-sided or two-sided. The template you like is transferred to felt using chalk or a marker (circled), and then the pattern is cut out. You can decorate the toy on both sides at once - in this case the toy will be double-sided. Well, if you want to give the product strength, then one side of the figurine can be glued to colored cardboard.

When working with voluminous toys, two parts are cut out at once according to the template. To do this, a sheet of felt is folded in half, secured with a needle for convenience (to prevent shifting) and cut out. Two parts at the same time. Next, each detail is decorated based on the design of the composition, and only after completion the parts are sewn together. If this is your first time picking up a needle and thread, we recommend using the simplest type of seam “forward needle” - it is used to connect small parts along the cut line. Professional seamstresses call this stitch a basting stitch. With this type of seam, the stitches alternate with skips. If such a seam is not suitable, then you can resort to the “back needle” technique. This is a very beautiful and even seam that will decorate any product. For voluminous sewing openwork products It will be useful to master the technique of gathering seams. It is performed in the same way as the “forward needle”, only with a stronger thread tension.

If you choose wool felt, then individual hairs may come out on the edges over time, which will not look aesthetically pleasing. IN in this case To avoid this, use a seam “over the edge”. The stitches are made over the edge, thereby securely connecting the parts together and securing the cut lines. The stitches are made at equal distances from each other with a slight inclination to the left or right.

The most effective stitch is considered to be a loop or wrap stitch. As the needle moves, the loops follow the edge of the material, thereby becoming almost invisible. This seam is very durable.

After the main part is sewn together, filler is inserted into the remaining hole, distributed evenly inside the toy, and then the area is sewn up to the end. If you planned to create a hanging toy, then a puncture is made in the upper part of the product and a satin ribbon or golden thread is threaded. That's it - the New Year's toy for the Christmas tree is ready!

  1. Felt sheets have different thicknesses. However, to create Christmas tree decorations, it is better to use sheets no larger than 1.5 millimeters. Thin felt is easier to roll and shape into the desired shape.
  2. Felt is sold in sheets of A3 or A4 format. Before purchasing, try to calculate the required volume of material, otherwise it will be a shame if there is not enough felt at the most crucial moment.
  3. For needlework, choose wool-blend felt with the addition of viscose or acrylic;
  4. To transfer the pattern onto the material, use a self-disappearing marker for marking. If this is not the case, tailor's chalk will do.
  5. Cut out the figures with ordinary stationery scissors. But if you get confused, you can find special curly scissors that cut in a “wave” or “zigzag”. With such scissors, the edges of the figure will be original.
  6. To glue the elements together, use PVA or textile glue. You can use a heat gun.
  7. If you are sewing a voluminous toy, then use not only foam rubber for filling, but also padding polyester and holofiber in balls. It is better to avoid cotton wool, as it seeps through the seams - such a toy will quickly lose its aesthetic appearance.

Options for Christmas tree toys made of felt

If you are a person with imagination, then coming up with a template for a fun toy will not be difficult. Otherwise, the Internet will come to your aid, where you will find hundreds of ready-made patterns for patterns. To decorate a Christmas tree, you can create dozens of hanging toys, different in shape and decoration.

Christmas tree toy Snow Maiden made of felt

We approach the selection of jewelry for the New Year's beauty with special trepidation and warmth. Therefore, handmade Christmas tree decorations create an atmosphere of comfort and magic. Let's sew the Snow Maiden.

To make a toy you will need:

  • white sheet of paper;
  • pencil;
  • scissors;
  • felt blue (or dark blue), beige, yellow and white;
  • lace ribbon;
  • a thread;
  • padding polyester

We need to draw a template on a white sheet of paper. Let's draw with a simple pencil. You can take a regular notebook piece of paper.

The main part needs to be outlined on blue felt. You need to cut out 2 of these parts.

Let's cut them out.

Now you need to trace the details of the face on one of the parts. Cut out this circle. This will be in front of the Snow Maiden, which means we will sew the face into this hole later.

Now you need beige felt. We draw a circle on it and cut it out. We cut it out a little larger than the hole on the front part, so that it will be easier to sew on later. This face. Cut out bangs from yellow felt. You can use orange or brown felt.

We apply the bangs to the face, and then the face is placed in the hole on the wrong side that we cut out. Sew along the edge using simple stitches.

Cut out boots from white felt. We attach 2 parts, and from below we place between the parts of the hem of the boot. We stitch it. But not completely, just the bottom.

Now you need to decorate the Snow Maiden’s kokoshnik. Therefore, we embroider simple snowflakes. We just do small stitches, which will intersect with each other.

2 on each side and 1 larger one in the center of the kokoshnik. Now let's continue stitching. As you sew, you need to fill the part with padding polyester. There is no need to fill it too tightly.

Let's make mittens. To do this, simply cut out 2 small and thin strips. Their width should be slightly larger than the width of the handles. Sew them to the handles in a horizontal position. You will get frills from mittens.

Glue or sew a lace ribbon in the center of the fur coat. Sew it in a vertical position. This will be the clasp of the fur coat.

We paint the face with paint or nail polish, and with the help of blush we make the Snow Maiden’s cheeks pink. At the back we sew a loop from satin ribbon, on which we will then hang the toy on the Christmas tree.

This toy will look great in a set with other decorations. The Snow Maiden is perfect for any interior.

Snowflakes and stars

One of the most popular types of decorations are stars and snowflakes. These products can be voluminous or flat, multi-colored or plain, consist of many limbs, carved and openwork.

Click and download the template

When creating snowflakes, you don't have to use a template. Simply fold a square sheet of felt into four times and cut out the edges as desired. When you unfold the sheet, you will find a ready-made snowflake with carved edges, which only remains to be decorated.

You can make a plump snowflake, which is obtained by sewing together two identically cut parts and filling the inside with batting. For decoration, you can use beads that are placed along the edge. And glue a thermal picture with the symbol of the year in the center of the snowflake.

Can you make a snowflake like this?

For a more complex composition, it is preferable to use a template. To create a three-dimensional hanging snowflake, you need to cut out several identical parts at once, using different colors of felt. Next, they need to be placed on top of each other with a slight mixing to the side, and then sew the parts together in the center. The result is a multi-layered snowflake that will look great on a Christmas tree branch.

Another option for beautiful Christmas tree decorations is to create a garland of stars and snowflakes. To do this, one-dimensional elements are cut out from different felt bushes, which are subsequently linked together with a satin ribbon. The result is a multi-colored soft garland that will look wonderful not only on the Christmas tree, but also on any object in the room.

Santa Claus made of felt

The Christmas tree will become more elegant if there are figures of Santa Claus on its branches. On the Internet you can find funny grandfather patterns.

If you have already found a suitable picture, then cut it out quickly and start cutting out the product. All elements of the future toy are transferred to felt in two copies. Typically, Frost’s torso is drawn in the shape of an inverted incandescent light bulb. Also in the details there should be a beard, mustache, and a bag with gifts.

The body and bag are made of red felt, and the rest of the composition is made of white. When all the elements are cut out, proceed to the next stage - assembling the toy:

  1. The beard and hat are glued to the part that will serve as the front part. A small piece of beige felt is inserted into the space between them - this area will act as a face.
  2. Next, the eyes and buttons are sewn on.
  3. A mustache is sewn on top of the beard.
  4. When the front side is completely ready, the back part is sewn to it. The padding polyester is pushed into the stuffing hole.
  5. A white pompom is glued to the cap.
  6. A small red bag is sewn on one side and decorated with rhinestones.
  7. The hat and lower part of the body are decorated with multi-colored stars or snowflakes.

The finished Santa Claus will remain hung on the tree using a white satin ribbon.

Step-by-step master class

To sew Santa Claus we need:

  • felt in red, peach, brown and white;
  • scissors;
  • needle;
  • padding polyester;
  • threads;
  • pencil or pen;
  • paper;
  • black paint;
  • pink eye shadow or pink pastel.

The felt for such a toy should be soft. It is easier to work with and toys - crafts for the New Year will not be tough.

How to sew

Let's draw a pattern on a piece of paper. Santa Claus can be made small or you can enlarge the pattern and make him big.

In this master class, Santa Claus will be in his usual red fur coat and red cap. But you can use blue or light blue felt. He will also look good in clothes of this color.

Let's cut out every detail from paper. And transfer the prepared pattern onto felt. The fur coat, hat and head need to be cut out twice. That is, there should be two parts, since the toy will be voluminous. We cut out everything else one piece at a time.

We sew the head together and stuff it with padding polyester. We also sew a hat. The pompom can be carefully grabbed with a couple of stitches or glued with hot glue.

We put a hat on the head of the future Santa Claus. Let's hold her. We attach the white part of the cap. And we sew the hat to the head along the white part with white threads.

Now we sew the body. We sew the fur coat and immediately put the arms and legs into it. During the knitting process, you need to fill the body with padding polyester.

We have the parts ready and now we will assemble Santa Claus. Sew the head to the body. A seam is formed at the junction of the toy.

The toy is almost ready. So that the seam on the neck is not visible, cut out a small thin strip from white felt.

And tie it like a scarf. So we hid the seam and made the toy more interesting.

All that remains is to draw the eyes. We can paint them with regular black paint. Just putting little dots. We will also use pink shadows for blush. Let's tint the cheeks of Santa Claus. So he looks ruddy as if he had just come from the cold. You can also use pastels instead of shadows. Scrape it with a knife and tint the cheeks with the resulting powder.

Felt Santa Claus is ready! If you plan to decorate the Christmas tree with a toy, you can sew a felt or ribbon loop to the hat.

If these are Christmas trees sewn from two parts, attach them to a toothpick or pencil(this depends on the size of the toys), and secure it to small bottle caps or other supports.

WE SEW NEW YEAR'S TOYS FROM FELT - SANTA CLAUS, SNOWMAN, DEER...

Remember, children's poems about a grandfather with a white beard and rosy cheeks! Good grandfather Frost, he brought gifts for everyone! We told these simple poems for our fathers and mothers, for teachers in kindergarten. No one could do without this fairy-tale character New Year's celebration!

On the eve of the holiday, we decorated the house - we put up a Christmas tree, hung garlands, balls, icicles, and streamers on it. We made the bulk of the decorations ourselves - these were figures of snowmen made of cotton wool, snowflakes made of paper. But, time moves forward, and tastes change - now among our traditional jewelry for the Christmas tree there was a place for toys that relatively recently migrated to us from abroad. These are reindeer and Santa Claus (Santa does not have such a long, fluffy one as our Morozko, but our kids liked him too).

Today I want to invite you to make crafts from felt. Why felt? Because toys made from felt look much better than those made from other materials, and it is easy to work with such material. If you don't have felt on hand, don't despair! The proposed models of Christmas tree decorations can be made from knitwear, fleece and, at worst, just from ordinary fabric.

Let me note that, by and large, it doesn’t matter what you make from, but what matters is in what mood you do it! Involve children in your activity! Give them a try. With kids younger age you can try to make a snowman. I think everything should work out for you! Before sewing a toy, decide what kind of toy you will have. You can make it voluminous; for this, prepare a filler - it can be cotton wool, it is best to use padding polyester. Make a printout on a printer; if you are good at drawing, you can make drawings by hand. Well? You can start working! I wish you only interesting and beautiful crafts!

Felt snowflakes

Felt snowflakes embroidered with patterns to decorate a Christmas tree, chandelier or cornice

Do you remember how impatiently we waited for the first snow as children? Every time, as soon as soft flakes began to fall from the sky, the children poured out into the street, trying to enjoy all the delights of a snowy winter. And even in adulthood, the first snow always brings with it a feeling of celebration and some kind of elusive magic, because snowflakes are so unusual and beautiful that they can be called a real miracle of nature.

We invite you to decorate your home with these wonderful felt snowflakes, which will differ from real ones only in that they will never melt in a warm apartment. To make snowflakes you will need:

  • pieces of felt of different colors;
  • needles;
  • threads;
  • thick paper or a couple of sheets of cardboard;
  • rhinestones;
  • sequins;
  • beads;
  • glue;
  • pins;
  • cotton wool or thin padding polyester;
  • scissors.

When a simple set of items is assembled, let's get to work:

1. Download snowflake templates, print them on paper and prepare paper blanks. If you are going to please many friends or colleagues with handmade crafts, it would be better to transfer the templates to cardboard, since paper deteriorates quite quickly.

2. Transfer the snowflake patterns onto pieces of felt and cut out the snowflakes. If you want to make your crafts more beautiful, apply pencil strokes that imitate Frost patterns, then embroider the bastings with contrasting threads. You can decorate future snowflakes using rhinestones, small beads and shiny sequins, gluing them to a felt base. Let the product dry.

3. Start sewing the two pieces of snowflakes together by placing them next to each other and then pinning them together. If you want to get a larger toy, gradually fill it with a small amount of cotton wool. You can fill snowflakes with padding polyester. To do this, you will have to duplicate parts of the snowflakes on a piece of padding polyester, making them 0.5 cm smaller so that you can sew the product.

4. Prepare loops from floss or knitting yarn. Place the tails of the thread in one of the corners of the snowflake, making a loop, and sew the snowflake in this place. Now the toys can be placed on a Christmas tree or cornice, or you can hang entire garlands of decorations by placing them on a string stretched across the room.

DIY felt star

DIY combined star with other felt toys of the same color

Volumetric felt stars hung around the room or on the Christmas tree will instantly turn your home into a real fairy tale, filling it with a New Year's atmosphere. For such crafts, it is best to buy white or beige felt, in which the toy looks especially light, soft and reminds us of the onset of winter. A beautiful accent for this calm color scheme will be gold or silver embroidery along the edges and on convex areas of the product. To make stars you will need the following items:

  • a piece of beige or white felt;
  • needles;
  • cotton threads to match the fabric;
  • scissors;
  • a simple pencil;
  • pins;
  • silver or gold metallized thread.

Step-by-step production of blanks for a volumetric star

Stages of making a Christmas star:

1. Cut out the details. The size of the star depends solely on your goals: if you want to decorate the top of the New Year tree, it is better to make a fairly large star, but a smaller craft is suitable for decorating window openings or a chandelier. For a small toy, you need to cut two square pieces of felt, 15 centimeters each, and two more, 14 centimeters each, on each side of the square. For a large star, you will need to prepare two square blanks of 25 centimeters each and two more - 23 centimeters each.

2. We sew the base. Take two large squares of felt for the future star, mark the middle and bend the squares in half. Fasten with pins, carefully walk along the fold line with your fingers and sew the middle with cotton thread (small transverse stitches), not reaching the edges by about 4-5 cm (for a large star). Remove the pins, unfold the product and bend it in the opposite direction, sew in the same way as the first time, creating a perpendicular volumetric fold on the star. Sew both felt squares in this manner. Turn the stitched fabric over so that the seam is on the bottom. Fold the fabric diagonally, fasten with pins and sew with silver thread (small and frequent transverse stitches) diagonally, stepping back half a centimeter from the edges. Remove the pins and fold diagonally in the opposite direction, stitching the fold in exactly the same way. Press the star along the fold lines, starting from the middle and towards the edges, trim the protruding parts of the square to get a star with four ends.

3. Let's make the base. Take two smaller squares. Draw two lines with a pencil intersecting the center of the square. Go carefully along the folds and cut out the backing for the top of the star. Attach inner part to the convex part, connect it with pins and sew it with silver threads to the convex part of the product using a blanket stitch.

4. Collecting a star. Connect both parts of the toy, placing the flat sides against each other, unfold one of the parts so that the 8 tips are located in the form of 45 degree angles. Using cotton thread, sew a star on the inside of the corners. If you want to decorate the top of the Christmas tree, simply spread the two halves of the star and place it on the top branch.

Felt cup holders

DIY crafts in the form of felt cup holders

In our dynamic times, many people stop by a cafe on their way to work or school to treat themselves to a glass of aromatic coffee. But holding a hot container is inconvenient - the scalding drink forces you to change your hand every now and then or wrap the glass in napkins. Cup holders made of bright felt are great gift for colleagues and friends, which will help them not only hold a hot glass, but also make it stylish and individual. You can make felt headbands in just a couple of minutes. The main thing is that you have:

  • pieces of colored felt;
  • threads;
  • paper;
  • pins;
  • scissors;
  • glue;
  • measuring tape;
  • pencil.

Have you collected everything you need? Then let's start making cup holders!

1. By and large, the cups in which visitors pour tea and coffee to go are standardized products, so you can prepare one such glass for measurements. If you want to be on the safe side, you can run into the exact coffee shop your colleague, friend, or lover prefers to go to to purchase a glass of coffee in the right place and then measure it.

2. After taking measurements, transfer them to paper and cut out templates for future crafts. Pin the paper templates to the felt and cut out the parts for the cup holders. You can find templates online for decorative decoration in the form of deer, Christmas trees, Santa Claus.

3. Connect the base for the cup holder in the form of a cylinder so that there is a slight overlap, and sew with thread. Glue all the decorative elements you like on top, decorating the product with Christmas trees, deer, snowflakes and other details.

Felt cone

Step-by-step instructions for making a voluminous felt cone

Fir and pine cones are a wonderful element, because they remind us of a winter meadow, bringing a piece of nature into our home. But what should those who do not have a coniferous forest grow within their reach do? Felt will come to the rescue, from which you can make imitation pine cones, which will be no worse than the natural “fruits” of the Christmas tree. A set of simple tools and materials for creativity includes the following:

  • felt in several colors (for example, chocolate and burgundy). You can also take felt in dark and light green colors - then your pine cones will look as if you just picked them from the Christmas tree;
  • thin wooden skewers or long toothpicks;
  • awl;
  • glue;
  • artificial snow or sparkles;
  • paper;
  • a simple pencil;
  • pins;
  • stationery knife;
  • scissors.

Now that all the materials are prepared, you can start making the craft:

1. Print out the pine cone templates on a piece of paper. Cut out the templates, place them on a piece of felt, pin them in place and trace them with a pencil. Now you can cut out the blanks. Please note that the parts of the cone vary in size. You will need to make three pieces of medium and large size and two small ones, duplicating them on felt of each color. Place the felt pieces for each pine cone into piles. Mark the middle by writing a letter on it that corresponds to the size.

2. Sharpen a wooden skewer. Take a medium-sized piece in two colors, make holes, and tightly fold the two colored parts together. Pierce the blanks with an awl and place them on a wooden skewer. There is no need to bring the felt elements to the end of the skewer, so leave a small “tail” 2-3 cm long. Apply a drop of glue to a wooden stick in the place where the blanks will be planted, drop glue in front of them. Take the next two colored elements - this time they should be the larger parts of the pine cones. Make a hole in the middle and place it on the stick again, twisting it a little so that the parts of the cone are at different angles. Press the elements slightly in the middle. Repeat the procedure with large parts 2 more times, then plant 2 pairs of medium-sized elements. Place two pairs of the smallest pieces on a stick. The last part of the cone, if assembled like a bud, should cover the tip of a wooden skewer. Apply a little glue to the wood and the inside of the felt pieces and hide the wooden tip. Straighten the “scales” of the cone so that they look as natural as possible.

3. Cut the wooden tail using a knife, leaving literally 7 mm, make it thinner using a stationery knife. From felt scraps, make two strips 1.5-2 centimeters long and 0.5 centimeters wide. Apply glue and stick to a wooden base, and then glue them tightly together. The tail of the pine cone is ready! By the way, you can do it differently: coat the wooden base with glue, and then wrap it tightly with knitting yarn of a suitable color.

4. Decorate the sides of the cone with glitter or apply some artificial snow to the product.
