Games and competitions for children

Game "Plant and Harvest"

Equipment: 8 hoops, 2 buckets, 4-5 potatoes, 2 watering cans.

2 teams of 4 people each participate.

The 1st participant “plows the ground” (puts down a hoop);

2nd participant “plants potatoes” (puts potatoes in a hoop);

The 3rd participant “waters the potatoes” (runs around each hoop with a watering can);

The 4th participant “harvests” (collects potatoes in a bucket).

The faster team wins.

Game "Draw the peas"

The blindfolded player must draw the peas so that they do not extend beyond the line of the pod.

Football game

A large ball is placed.

The child is blindfolded. They give the command to move 3-4 steps away from the ball.

All children count: “One, two, three, four, five!” Then they say: “Turn around!”

A blindfolded child must hit the ball.

Game "Hoops"

4 hoops are laid out on the floor at the corners of the square, and a handkerchief in the center.

In two hoops on the same line there are toys, and in the hoops opposite there are players.

Music is playing, children are dancing in hoops. The music stops, the children run to the hoops with toys, take one toy and carry it to their hoop. The music repeats, the children repeat the game, etc.

Whoever completed the task faster runs to the handkerchief, takes it and waves it.

Competitions for children. Are they necessary? Almost all psychology specialists and teachers often oppose competitions, olympiads, competitions and other forms of competitive interaction.

New Year's competitions for preschool children Dear colleagues! The most fun and, perhaps, children's favorite holiday, New Year, is approaching. I bring to your attention “New Year’s.

Photo report “Mitten for Santa Claus”.Dear colleagues, our institution annually holds New Year’s craft competitions. This year we held a New Year's competition.

The material presents pedagogical ideas for developing events dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day. The material may be useful.

The material will be useful to music directors and teachers when organizing events in kindergarten dedicated to March 8th. For a holiday.

During leisure time, it is appropriate to use various games, attractions, competitions and relay races. If you approach the organization of evenings responsibly.

Fun competitions for children's parties.

"Clothespins"

Any number of children can participate. The driver asks all participants to turn away and count to 30, and at this time attaches clothespins to household items - a chandelier, paintings, curtains, soft toys, dishes (20-30 pieces in total). The one who managed to collect the most clothespins receives a prize and becomes the driver.

"Postcard"

Try drawing a birthday card with your children. Bright markers, glitter glue, stickers, and pencils will come in handy. Give free rein to your creativity, and you can suggest a theme and wishes for the birthday boy: a smiling sun, a blue sky, unusual flowers and animals. These cards can remind your child of a joyful event for many months to come.

"Titanic"

Pour water into the bucket (no more than half). Give each child a disposable cup. There will also be a plastic cup in the role of the Titanic. Pour some water into it (it should float) and place it in the center of the bucket. Now the children must stand in a circle and take turns pouring water into the floating glass. The one who sank the Titanic is eliminated, and the game continues until one participant remains. He becomes the Captain, and the whole children's company goes to eat icebergs. Ice cream, of course!

"Christmas tree bagels"

You will need: bagels, colored woolen threads, buttons, large beads. From all this goodness you can make Christmas tree decorations if the New Year is approaching, or unusual jewelry.

"Air Battle"

Inflate 10 round balloons (5 each in two different colors). Create two teams. Divide the room into 2 equal parts with chalk, place the teams opposite each other. Give each team 5 balls. Task: while the music is playing, you need to throw the balls to the opponent’s side. It's not that easy, because the opponents return the winning balls! As soon as the music stops, the kids freeze. We are doing the calculations. This fun competition for children is held in several stages.
The team with fewer balls on its side wins.

"Fashion Show"

Give free rein to your child's imagination. Let the hero of the occasion become a couturier for a while. Children love to dress up and imitate adults. All you need to do is prepare a variety of ribbons, paper, handkerchiefs, scarves, tape, paper clips and safety scissors. The couturier dresses up the children according to his taste (mummies, pirates, flowers, princesses, sorcerers, etc.). If boys are embarrassed to participate, they can be made members of the jury.

"Greedy"

Participants line up one after another. On the floor (at a step distance) we lay out apples (20 pieces) in a line. Task: the 1st participant squats down and takes the first apple, then (!), without getting up, makes a small jump to the next apple, takes it and so on, moving by squatting jumps. Objective: collect as many apples as possible! As soon as the apples fall apart, we place them again on the floor, and the next participant begins the task. Apples cannot be picked in clothes. You can hold it in your hands, on your knees, under your chin... Fun!

"Disco"

Learn a few simple dance moves in advance. Offer your kids a fun disco! While the music is playing, the guys will repeat the movements after you (the movements, as I said, should be simple and funny, repeated often). And as the culmination of the disco, make this move: invite the children to show the movements themselves to the music, and you will only repeat. This is where they will laugh!

"Concert"

Invite the children to prepare their own concert! Poems, songs, riddles, fashion show, dancing, somersaults, splits... Help arrange the order of performances and the queue. Give it time to get ready. Let every child show himself and his talent. From those children who did not dare to show their number, create a jury.

"Orchestra"

Give the children spoons, pot lids, ladles, pots, and buckets. Come up with your own musical part for each instrument. You are the conductor! You have a ladle in your hands. To a well-known melody you create an orchestra. Point a ladle at the “saucepan men” and they will play like drums, at the “lid men” the timpani will sound, let the spoon players beat out the rhythm. Change accompanists slowly at first, then faster and faster. In the finale, all instruments of the orchestra sound simultaneously! It's loud and fun!

Today is an unusual selection of ideas for a children's party. No, not like that... Everything is as always, but the reason for writing the article was this letter from my reader:

“Dear Irina, I read a lot of interesting ideas on your website. Thank you very much for them. But I just can’t build a small scenario in my head for celebrating my daughter’s 3rd birthday. What would you recommend? There are supposed to be a lot of guests and they don’t know each other - children 2.5-5 years old (there will probably be at least 10 kids) with their parents. I want adults to participate too.”

Now there will be competitions for VERY young children. But on this site it is possible in the description of entertainment in.

A difficult task, but the situation is quite common, don’t you agree? It will be especially difficult to cope with children whose age difference is more than 2 years. I decided to involve adults in almost all competitions so that the kids don’t get lost among the lively five-year-olds.

I’ll say right away that it’s difficult to do without simple props, so mom will need to carefully prepare for the tasks and prepare everything she needs. I usually create packages containing everything needed for competitions.

Congratulations to the birthday girl

So that Anya herself and all the guests understand who is in charge here today :-), we turn on beautiful music, connect in pairs - child with child, adult with adult. Have them face each other, hold hands and raise their arms up to create a tunnel. The birthday girl passes through this arch to the loud and simultaneous “Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations!”

You can simply put the girl in the center of the circle, clap and sing along to “Barbarikas”: “And I, and I, and I congratulate you.”

The Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood

You need two ropes of the same length, 5 meters each (buy a skein right away, it will be useful for various competitions). We give segments to two adult participants in the competition. Draw a straight line and secure one end of the rope with a stone. Moms or dads must pave the way from this line to the “grandmother’s house,” but not in a straight line, but in turns. Along one rope, like a tightrope, Little Red Riding Hood walks with pies, along the other - a wolf. Who will complete the winding path faster? You can take a natural grandmother in a group. Can be repeated several times.

In the footsteps of the tiger

The difficulty is that each team is given only two cardboards, cut out in the form of predator tracks. You need to cover a distance (3-4 meters), completely transferring your weight to one leg, while the second team member rearranges the cardboard for the next step. In our case, the children will follow the tracks, and the parents will have to handle the cardboard boxes.

Let's shoot a video!

This is not a competition, but specifically the shooting of a memorable video for Anya to the song from the cartoon “The Big Wash” about Masha and the Bear. I have the song itself in the music selection that I wrote about above. You will also need soap bubbles (store 2 jars).

We line up the guests like this: kids in one line in front, adults in the back. Moms or dads, who stand at the edges, stand sideways to the camera and blow soap bubbles towards each other while the shooting is in progress.

For the first half of the verse we show kittens, for the second - piglets. During the chorus (first line), children make movements with their hands, as if they are washing themselves, and during the second line, adults depict a smiling sun.

During the second verse, all adults and children stand in a circle and join hands (except for those who blow soap bubbles at all the guests). Now it's time to have fun getting confused. Remember the game "Confusion"? You can't unclasp your hands. Just crawl into “arches”, step over crouched people, twist over your arm, and so on. There is no need to unravel all this, there will simply be a cheerful “heap and a small” accompanied by a cheerful song. I give the words:

Not a single cat in the world
The milk will not touch
If you haven't washed it first
Neat muzzle.

Mom teaches how to wash hooves
Naughty piglets -
Here they go to the trough,
Their little spots are shining.

Chorus:
If children wash themselves in the morning,

If children wash themselves in the morning,
The sun smiles brighter in the sky.

You also need to know, of course,
That those who often get sick are
Who lives in dirt and dust,
Who forgot about cleanliness?

You and I are still people,
It's not for nothing that they say so,
Are we really going to be
Will we be worse than piglets?!

Chorus:
If children wash themselves in the morning,
The sun smiles brighter in the sky.
If children wash themselves in the morning,
The sun smiles brighter in the sky.

Soap bubble show

In order not to remove the soap bubbles too far, we are immediately holding a competition for the largest bubble. If there is no wind, everything will turn out quite recklessly.

Jam is being made

A cheerful orchestra using rattling and rustling objects is always fun at a children's party, so if you find lids, spoons and jars with pennies, you can not deviate from traditions.

Here's another option: we give all children disposable cups with a small amount of water (2 cm) and cocktail straws. We choose the Car song again (look at my musical selection “About Jam”) and ask the children not to drink the water, but to release air through a tube into the water so that it gurgles. The jam is boiling and bubbling!

Parents do not participate, they just smile on the sidelines.

You can also arrange a regular noise orchestra.

Limbo

Latin American fun, which is equally fun at both children's and adult parties. You need a rope that adults will hold at both ends. Energetic music. One by one, all guests pass under a rope stretched at the ear level of the tallest participant. Then we lower it by 20 cm. Again everyone passes, dancing. Even lower. And one more thing.

Considering that we are having a joint celebration of children and adults, the smallest two-year-old dancers will remain at the end. Don't forget to film!

Shish kebab from sushi

Only children participate. 2 children compete at the same time. We place a plate with 10 dryers in front of each one and give them a stick in their hand. Who will put all the dryers on the “skewer” faster? You need to take one at a time.

Kindergarten for kangaroos

Any soft toy can be a kangaroo. Or a ball. Or even a small plastic bottle of water. Two children start by jumping and trying to get to the “kangaroo nursery” and leave a toy there. Distance - no more than 3 meters. They also return to the starting line by jumping. They are replaced by adults who must pick up the little ones from the kindergarten. Also, of course, jumping to the goal and back. Whose couple will do it faster?

Left hand drive!

Game in two stages. We build obstacles from packages, bags, toys, bottles along the “track”. We give two children each a steering wheel (for me these are plastic or cardboard plates), they have to go around the obstacles and return. The children love it, they choose new “detour routes” with appropriate sounds. Adults simply admire this picture.

Now we invite two adults. We blindfold them very tightly and offer to overcome a course with obstacles. While you are unwinding them in place, someone must remove all the items. When moms and dads hit the road, we give them comic commands: “Drive to the left!”, “Move to the right!” Detour!”, and so on.

Who gets the prize?

Even the little ones can do this, but it’s also exciting for adults. We tie two boxes (can be replaced with bundles or just opaque bags) with a rope. We unwind 2-3 meters (naturally, both participants should have the same length), tie the second end to a pencil or stick.

Competitions for children's birthdays! We select competitions for a child's birthday individually. If you have ordered a birthday from us, you can choose the competitions that suit you for your child’s birthday.

Competition for children aged 4-6 years "Dwarves" and "Giants"

Game description:
The children stand around the leader, who tells that there are very small people in the world - dwarfs, and there are huge ones - giants. When the presenter says: “Dwarfs!”, he sits down on all fours, lowers his hands, showing with all his appearance what little people they are. He even pronounces the word “dwarfs” in a thin voice - they are so tiny.

When the guys have learned to follow commands correctly, the presenter warns that now he will see who is the most attentive.

Presenter: Remember, children, the correct commands: “Dwarves!” and “Giants!” All my other commands do not need to be executed. The one who makes a mistake is out of the game.

First, the presenter gives the correct commands, and then replaces the words “dwarfs” and “giants” with similar ones. The one who makes the least mistakes wins.

Competition for children aged 4-6 years “Listen to the signal”

Game description:
Children go, stand in a circle with the leader and move in a circle. The presenter gives pre-agreed signals - sound signals (clap of palms). For example: when the leader claps his hands once, the children freeze; when he claps twice, the children run; when he claps three times, the children walk. Whoever makes a mistake is out.

Competition for children aged 4-12 years "Children's bowling"

Children's bowling is a very entertaining game. Develops awareness of cause and effect, hand-eye coordination, and gross motor skills.
Game description:
Mark the line with a rope. Skittles are made from plastic bottles or ordinary skittles are used. The child is placed behind the line and must roll the ball so as to hit the pins.

The one who knocks down the most pins wins. If the same number of pins are knocked down, the round is repeated.

Competition for children aged 4-12 years "Tails"

Game description:
This game is played by two people. A rope is tied around the players' waists so that a "tail" - a knot at the end of the rope - hangs from behind. The player must catch the opponent's knot-tail so that he does not have time to catch his own knot-tail. Whoever catches the opponent's "tail" first wins. The game is played to cheerful music.

Game for children aged 4-10 years "What did we do today?"

Game description:
The driver is selected. He leaves the hall for a while. The remaining participants agree on what action they will portray.

The driver returns and turns to them with a question:

What did you do today?

Children answer:

We won’t tell you what we did, but now we’ll show you!

And they begin to depict the action that they agreed on. (eat, play the violin, dance, brush their teeth, etc.)

Based on these movements, the driver guesses what they were doing. If he guesses correctly, they choose another driver. If not, then the driver leaves again, and the players will think of another action.

Competition for children aged 4-12 years "Collective art"

Game description:
The game requires two teams. The first player in each group starts at the top of the sheet and draws the head of a face along with the beginning of the neck, the rest of the team does not see what he has drawn. The player then wraps the paper so that only the very end of the neck is visible and passes the paper to the second player. The second player continues the drawing, wraps the sheet so that only the bottom lines are visible, and so on until the last team member.

Afterwards the sheet unfolds and the result can be assessed.

Competition for children aged 4-12 years "Art Relay"

Art relay race is a calm, interesting game that develops creativity, thinking, imagination and the ability to work in a team.

Whoever does it faster wins.

Competition for children aged 4-12 years "Volleyball with a balloon"

Balloon volleyball is an entertaining game that helps develop players' reaction, dexterity and coordination.
Game description:
The game requires two teams. Chairs are placed at a distance of one meter opposite each other, on which the players sit. The floor is divided with a rope in the middle between the teams. Children play volleyball. The ball must fly over the rope; players must not get up from their chairs or pick up the ball. You can only push the ball away. If the ball lands on the opponent's territory, the team gets a point. The game goes to 15 points.

Game for children aged 4-6 years "Looking for a Toy"

Looking for a toy is a good game for developing a child's attentiveness.
Game description:
A toy is placed around the room, in secret from the child, and should be in plain sight. The child must find the toy. One selected participant leaves, the toy is placed somewhere in the room, and the child is brought in blindfolded. The rest of the participants should guide the child, prompting: “Warm”, “Cold”.

Game for children from 4-10 years old "The sea is agitated"

Game description:
The presenter turns away from the other participants, who are dancing to the music, imitating waves, and says loudly:

“The sea is agitated once,

The sea is worried two

The sea is worried three,

The naval figure, freeze in place!”

At this moment, players must freeze in the position in which they find themselves. The leader turns, walks around all the players and examines the resulting figures. Whoever is the first to move is eliminated from the game and becomes a “supervisor” - he helps the presenter find those who have moved.

You can use another version of the game, when the presenter examines all the figures and chooses the one he likes best. This child becomes the leader.

Game for children from 4-12 years old "Nesmeyana"

Nesmeyana is a fun children's game for developing imagination, ingenuity of participants, and communication skills.

The participant who makes her laugh himself becomes Unlaughable.

Game for children aged 4-10 years "Cat and Mouse"

This ancient Russian game develops children's reaction and endurance well.
Game description:
Two drivers are selected - a cat and a mouse. The remaining players stand in a circle, holding hands, thereby forming a goal between themselves. The cat stands behind the circle, the mouse stands in the circle.

The cat's task is to enter the circle and catch the mouse. In this case, the cat is allowed to break through the chain of players, crawl under clasped hands, or even jump over them.

The players try not to let the cat get inside the circle. If the cat manages to get into the circle, the players immediately open the gate and let the mouse out. And they try not to let the cat out of the circle. At the end of the game, when the cat has caught the mouse, they stand in a circle, and the players choose a new cat and mouse.

Game for children from 4-12 years old "Eskimo blind man's buff"

Game description:
The driver is blindfolded and thick mittens are put on his hands. Then the players approach him one by one, and he must determine by touch who is in front of him. Game for children aged 4-12 years "Broken Phone"

The game “damaged phone” is good entertainment for children, which simultaneously develops their hearing and attentiveness.
Game description:
The presenter whispers a word or phrase into the ear of one player, and he passes it on to the other player in exactly the same way, and so on along the chain.

The last player says out loud what he did and compares it with the original. The leader then moves to the end and the next player becomes the leader.

Game for children from 6 to 10 years old "Golden Gate"

Game description:
In the Golden Gate game, two players at a distance stand opposite each other and, holding hands, raise their arms up. The result is “collars”. The rest of the children stand one after another and put their hands on the shoulders of the person walking in front, or simply join hands. The resulting chain should pass under the gate.

"Vorotiki" pronounce:

"Golden Gate"

They don't always miss!

Saying goodbye for the first time

The second one is prohibited

And for the third time

We won't let you through!"

After these words, the “collars” sharply lower their hands, and those children who were caught also become “collars.” Gradually the number of “gates” increases, and the chain decreases. The game ends when all children become "gates".

Game for children from 6-12 years old “We compose a fairy tale for the birthday boy”

Game description:
The presenter opens a magazine or book to any page and, without looking, points his finger at the word he comes across. The first storyteller must come up with a phrase using this word. This continues until all players come up with a proposal, maybe two or three. The result is an interesting story. We write down the story on a prepared form and give it to the birthday boy.

Competition for children aged 6-12 years "Fisherman and Goldfish"

Game description:
Participants stand in a circle. The leader in the center spins a rope with a knot at the end or a jump rope. The end of the rope must pass under the feet of the players, who must not touch it. Anyone who touches the rope is temporarily out of the game. Those who never touch the rope win.

The couple that can last the longest wins.

Game for children aged 6-10 years "Empty Space"

Game description:
The participants of the game stand in a circle, and the driver remains behind the circle. The driver walks around the circle and touches one of the players, touching the shoulder or arm. This means that he challenges this player to a competition. The driver runs around the circle in one direction, and the called person runs in the opposite direction. Having met, they greet each other, shake hands and continue to run further, trying to race to take the free place (left by the called player). The one who managed to take this place remains there, and the one left without a place becomes the driver, and the game continues.

Game for children aged 6-10 years "Guess whose voice"

Guess whose voice is a fun game that develops auditory perception and promotes more relaxed communication in children.
Game description:
The players stand in a circle and join hands. The driver, who stands inside the circle, is blindfolded with a scarf. Everyone walks in a circle, chanting:

"So we built a circle,

Let's turn around together suddenly."

(Turn and walk in the opposite direction)

"How can we say: “skok-skok-skok”,

The words “skok-skok-skok” are said by only one player, indicated by the leader.

Competition for children aged 6-12 years "Clapping"

All players together begin to clap rhythmically: twice on their hands, twice on their knees. In this case, one of the players says his number when clapping his hands, for example, “five-five,” and when clapping his knees, he says the number of any other player. Whose number he called - continues the game, clapping his hands and calling his number, clapping his knees and calling any other number. Whoever gets confused is eliminated. A player who does not have time to name his number or who names the number of an already eliminated participant leaves the game. The last two remaining players win.

When the front player catches the back player, the one caught becomes the head.
The game continues.

A blindfolded “guard” and a “prisoner” with tied hands and feet sit in the center of the circle. The remaining participants in the game “liberators” are trying to free the prisoner, that is, they are trying to untie him. The guard must interfere. By touching any participant, he takes him out of the game, he must go beyond the circle of chairs. The player who manages to free the prisoner without being caught becomes the guard himself the next time.
