Download bitumen mastic quality certificate. Mastic bitumen MGH-G cold curing

This will be a very short article dedicated to the bitumen mastics we love so much, and the documentation so adored by the state.

We hope this article will help you, our dear clients, in handing over objects, and free us from the need to explain why we do not have certificates of conformity for mastic.

According to current laws Russian Federation– certification is mandatory only for those products that are included in the lists approved by the Government.

This applies to both certification of compliance, fire certificates, and certificates of compliance with sanitary and epidemiological standards. By the way, since 2010 Rospotrebnadzor has been issuing not certificates, but certificates of state registration of products.

This means that if the above lists do not include such items as bitumen mastic, bitumen primer, cold bitumen waterproofing mastic and other similar things - certification is not mandatory.

We could obtain all certificates for MBU bitumen mastic on a voluntary basis. But there is one small problem - inexpensive mastic is attractive to buyers primarily due to its price/quality ratio. If you receive certificates for mastic, its price will increase and increase quite significantly.

In itself, the requirement from the developer to have a mandatory certificate for bitumen mastic is quite legal - it is covered with pieces of paper, which is more than logical in our state. Unfortunately, not everyone understands that certification is really not mandatory, and that refusal letters containing references to regulations are a very good reason for the lack of certificates for mastic.

We don’t want to point fingers at anyone, but if I offer you bitumen mastic with a certificate, and its cost is not 1000 rubles, then there is a possibility (and quite high) that the certificate is not entirely real. The only exceptions can be made by very large manufacturers.

Ant-Snab loves its customers - we can send you all our refusal letters, and, if necessary, the legislative acts themselves regulating the certification of products both on the territory of the Russian Federation and on the territory of the Customs Union.

Bitumen mastic MGH-G- waterproofing bitumen mastic for cold application.

It is a homogeneous mass based on a specially developed mixture of petroleum bitumen, with the addition of a mineral filler and an organic solvent.

The mastic is ready for use.

The use of MGH-G mastic when carrying out waterproofing work is allowed at an ambient temperature not lower than -10°C.

Purpose. Bitumen waterproofing mastic is intended for external waterproofing of building structures and foundations made of various materials, on which the thermal effect during operation does not exceed 70°C:

  • external waterproofing of foundations, basements, building structures;
  • waterproofing of concrete and reinforced concrete foundations;
  • waterproofing of wooden building structures;
  • gluing building materials, including rolled waterproofing.

Main characteristics of cold-curing bitumen mastic MGH-G "Grid"

Indicator Bitumen mastic MGH-G cold "Grida"
Water absorption within 24 hoursno more than 0.5% by weight
Conditional viscosityat least 21 seconds
Mass fraction of non-volatile substancesat least 70%
Viabilityat least 1.5 hours
Adhesion strength to concretenot less than 0.3 MPa (3.0 kgf/cm2)
Softening point70°
Flexibility on a beam with a rounded radius, mm, 5.0±0.2 at a temperature K (°C), not higher than 268 (minus 5)there should be no cracks on the surface of the sample

Application. Before applying waterproofing bitumen mastic, the surface of the waterproofing base must be prepared and cleaned of debris, sand, dirt and objects that impede the formation of a tight-fitting continuous mastic layer. It is recommended to pre-prime the surface.

More details about preparing and priming the base for laying rolled bitumen materials are discussed in.

Bituminous mastic is applied to the base to be waterproofed with a spatula. To apply mastic using a brush or roller, it can be diluted with a solvent, but not more than in a volume not exceeding 20-50% of the mass of the mastic.

The following components can be used as solvents: tolulene, xylene, petroleum solvent for the paint and varnish industry, white spirit, gasoline solvent BR-2 (the use of regular motor gasoline is not allowed), turpentine, mixed solvents - 646, 648, 649, R-4 .

At sub-zero temperatures, before use, it is recommended to heat the mastic in a “steam” or “water bath” to +30-50°C.

Before heating, it is necessary to break the seal of the container by opening the lid of the bucket. After heating, the mastic must be mixed throughout the entire volume.

When using mastic for gluing waterproofing materials, applying one layer with a thickness of about 1.0 mm is sufficient. In other cases, for waterproofing, it is recommended to apply 2-3 layers of waterproofing bitumen mastic with an interval of 5 to 24 hours between layers (at a temperature of at least 20°C).

To increase the strength and durability of the mastic layer, it is recommended to lay a sheet of reinforcing fiberglass between the layers. Complete drying time is at least 24 hours. At low temperatures, the drying time of the mastic increases.

Advantages of using waterproofing bitumen mastic MGH-G "Grida":

  • Reliable waterproofing material based on high-quality components at an affordable price.
  • The possibility of use at negative ambient temperatures allows you to expand the available calendar time range for construction work.

Mastic consumption. The average consumption of bitumen mastic is about 1 liter/m2, depending on the material of the base to be waterproofed.

Package. Metal container with a volume of 20 liters.

Storage conditions. Store away from sources of fire, heat, heaters, in a place protected from direct exposure to sunlight and provided with ventilation.

Safety. When carrying out waterproofing work, follow these precautions: fire safety and occupational safety. Use rubber gloves while working. It is prohibited to carry out work near open flame sources.

Cold-curing bitumen mastic is a suspension of fillers and mineral additives in a bitumen solution, containing other additives for specific purposes.

Scope of application

The mastic is intended for waterproofing concrete, reinforced concrete, metal, wood and other building structures, including pipeline foundations and protecting the underbody of cars.

Directions for use

Before use, the mastic must be thoroughly mixed. The mastic is applied to the insulating surface by pouring, followed by spreading with a rubber mop, or applied using a fur roller or brush. If necessary, the mastic can be diluted with solvent, gasoline, or white spirit. At negative temperatures, it is recommended to heat the mastic to +30 - +50 °C.

Base requirements

The base can be: old bitumen roofing, concrete and cement screeds, metal structures, various mineral bases. The substrate must be dry, clean, durable and free of substances that reduce adhesion. When installing waterproofing coatings, it is recommended to prime mineral substrates (ICB Primer).

Application conditions

The air temperature during work is from + 5 to +30 °C, relative air humidity is no more than 80%.

Package

Sealed metal buckets 20 kg.

Storage and transportation

In a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding +30 °C. Shelf life in undamaged original packaging is 6 months. The primer is transported by all types of covered transport in accordance with the cargo transportation rules in force for each type of transport.
