How to make an origami rose from paper. Origami paper rose: several simple assembly options How to make an origami rose paper flower

The art of folding paper crafts without using scissors and glue is called origami. It came to us from Japan and quickly gained popularity. The technique of folding paper figures can be learned by both adults and young children. The most popular is the origami paper rose.

The popularity of the paper rose is associated with the widespread love for this flower. With a similar craft, you can decorate a postcard or photo frame, or make a beautiful colorful panel that will give you a good mood in the cold winter. From several roses you can weave a wreath for your daughter’s holiday, or make a bouquet or composition for interior decoration.

In order to understand exactly how to make a rose from origami paper, you need to study the diagrams. For beginner paper craft lovers, there are instructions on how to make a rose or other flowers step by step. So, before you make origami from paper flowers or roses, you need to prepare the following materials:

  • Office, corrugated, crepe, colored or white paper. The main requirement is the ability to keep its shape and not tear when bent.
  • Schemes (for classic origami).
  • When working in pattern technology, use ready-made diagrams and printed drawings. It is best if these drawings are printed on a color printer.
  • Pencil, scissors, PVA glue to secure the product. Wire for twigs or dry tree branches.

First models

The simplest model is a rose made using the paper rolling technique. A beautiful flower is made quickly, even a small child can assemble this craft. Let's look at how to make a rose step by step.

Step one.

Fold the corrugated paper into several layers.

Step two.

Cut off two corners on one side of the resulting ribbon. Make a cut in the shape of a petal.

Step three.

The resulting blank can be screwed onto a pencil or twisted by hand.

Step four.

Secure the rosette at the base with tape or glue.

An origami paper rose is one of the most popular crafts all over the world. It is done quickly according to the presented scheme:

Take a standard A4 sheet of paper. Cut into even strips. The width of the strip depends on the desired size of the rose. Usually, paper 1 - 1.5 cm wide is taken. Paper strips must be folded diagonally. You can create several roses from one sheet. Decorate the finished flower with rhinestones or glitter varnish.

The resulting flowers can decorate a gift box, or you can make a beautiful bouquet if the buds are connected with wire wrapped in green paper.

Origami paper rose for beginners and patterns are widely presented in a variety of master classes. The technique of folding according to a pattern, that is, a ready-made drawing, is very convenient for getting acquainted with origami. For those who are just mastering paper crafts, folding according to a pattern will help to correctly assemble the desired figure and instill the skills of folding a paper product.

Available rose models

After mastering paper rose origami step by step, novice craftswomen move on to more complex schemes for creating everyone’s favorite flower. Fresh flowers, unfortunately, are short-lived. To add individuality to the interior, they often resort to decorating with paper and flower arrangements. Such compositions look beautiful.

Creating beautiful crafts with your own hands is not only a useful leisure activity, but also an expression of creativity. The origami rose ranks first in popularity among handmade paper flowers. The colorful flowers are fairly easy to make if you follow the step-by-step instructions. The result of the work is visible after a short period of time.

The colors of roses have always impressed with their diversity, so you can use any color for crafts. Most often, paper leaves measuring 10 x 10 cm are used for roses. The result is a medium-sized flower.

You can assemble the following rose model in about 10 minutes, following the diagram:

  1. The square sheet is folded in half. Fold the resulting rectangle in half.
  2. Carefully open the upper side of the resulting square from left to right to form a triangle. Turn the workpiece over and repeat all the steps on the reverse side. There should be a workpiece triangle in front of you.
  3. In the resulting triangle, fold the lower corners of the upper part of the workpiece towards the center line. You've got small triangles. Open them so that a square comes out.
  4. Turn the workpiece over.
  5. Bend the lower sides of the upper triangle symmetrically towards the center line.
  6. Bend the resulting upper corner towards the center point of the bottom line of the triangle, straightening it.

Now carefully follow the presented schematic instructions:

Do not take thick paper for the first attempt; it is better to take soft corrugated paper or a set of colored school paper. Until you learn how to tightly fix the folds of the craft, soft material is best suited for creativity.

The rosette is assembled according to the pattern according to the finished drawing, where the fold lines are specially marked. Solid lines are the fold of the valley, broken lines are the folds of the mountain. Print the finished diagram on a color printer or transfer it to colored paper using tracing paper.

Here is a step-by-step collection of roses using a pattern.

Step one.

Fold the diagram like an accordion, fix the lines, and then unfold the sheet.

Step two.

Fold the triangles inward along the marked lines.

Step three.

Along the folds of the mountain, the triangles must be folded down.

Step four.

Fold rows of triangles along the auxiliary lines until you have collected all the triangles.

Step five.

After the entire paper figure has been assembled, carefully open the resulting triangles using a pencil or scissors.

As a result, you will create a magnificent flower:

Rose - cube

The most unusual origami rose model. The rosette can be transformed into a cube or the cube can be transformed into a beautiful flower. A very beautiful original gift. For the craft, you need to prepare 3 square sheets of green and red flowers. The flower may be pink or yellow. This cube looks beautiful with the contrast of colors.

Usually it takes about 30 minutes to create such a gift transformer. For those who are trying to make such a craft for the first time, the main thing is to understand the scheme for creating a rose-cube. Speed will come after several assembled products. If you follow the assembly rules, you will get an excellent cube rose.

This craft is assembled from six separate modules: 3 green and 3 red. To work, you need sheets measuring 10 x 10 cm. First, we assemble the modules.

Step one.

The square sheet is folded in the middle. A line is formed. Unfold the sheet. We bend the opposite edges of the sheet towards the middle and again form a line. You will end up with something like this:

Step two.

We form new fold lines. Fold the lower right corner up to the top fold line. We do the same with the opposite corner of the sheet.

Step three.

Fold the right corner at the bottom, aligning the edge of the sheet with the visible vertical fold. Fold one fold to the right. Following the fold line, align the bottom of the corner.

Step four.

Turn the workpiece over. Do the same operations with the opposite direction angle.

Step five.

Turn the workpiece over again and bend the corners of the module.

Step six.

We form a square by bending the corners on both sides.

Make 2 more modules this way. Set the finished 3 red cube blanks aside.

  • Take green leaves. We repeat steps 1 to 5 inclusive without changes.
  • We bend the upper corner on the right as in the picture.
  • Turn the workpiece, then bend the corner in the same order as in the red workpiece.
  • The modules have holes where you need to insert a long corner. First, we assemble 3 modules of the same color, then the second, after which we connect the two halves of the cube.
  • To turn a neat little cube into a rose, you need to follow these steps: pull out the short green corners and unfold them. This is how rose petals are made.
  • To form a rose bud, pull out the bottom corner from the fold on three sides. The upper corners extended in the same way will add splendor and volume to the rose.

The wonderful kusudama ball made of individual modules also belongs to easy origami models. This craft is made from many simple origami roses fastened together. Many craftswomen love such products for the opportunity to show their imagination, surprise others, and decorate the interior of their home.

To assemble the modules, in addition to paper, you will need glue and 6 paper sheets. Modules can be the same color or can be combined from 2-3 harmonious shades. A kusudama ball is assembled from several roses. The flowers are carefully glued together with side leaves. Such a ball can be hung on a Christmas tree or decorated with several flower balls in a children's room.

Rose Kawasaki

A beautiful classic Kawasaki rose is assembled by experienced craftsmen without any diagrams. For beginning craftswomen, this flower is quite complicated, but the resulting result will justify the time spent.

The most difficult thing when creating this product is the formation of folds. You can find ready-made drawings and assemble a flower according to a pattern, however, many people prefer to make this model themselves. Before you start working, you need to familiarize yourself with several master classes and watch video tutorials that show you step by step the process of creating a delightful beauty.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with the folding technique. Try to form mountain folds and valley folds on separate sheets. This skill is very useful in creative origami works.

The Kawasaki rose is the closest thing to a real living flower.

The Roman Emperor Nero loved to shower his guests with fresh rose petals. According to legend, the cloud of petals was so dense that some guests almost suffocated! This origami rose has very beautiful petals. In this master class you will learn how to assemble an origami rose from paper with your own hands. This is a complex but at the same time beautiful model, which has two assembly options. The assembly diagram for this model is very clear, as it is very detailed and is accompanied by photographs of each step of the step-by-step assembly. For this model, it is better to take thinner paper, since the petals will not look so elegant on hard paper. When assembling this origami rose, you will need tweezers to make the twisted center of the rose.

Top side of buamagi
Bottom of paper
1. Fold the papers in half crosswise, then unfold 2. Fold the bottom of the paper towards the center crease 3. Fold the top of the paper towards the center fold 4. Expand 5. Rotate the sheet 90 degrees. Then repeat steps 1 to 4 6. Fold the sheet in half 7. Thus. Fold the bottom part along the indicated fold, the fold location is one third of half the sheet. If you make more than a third, the rose will be wide, less - narrow, the best option is if you make a little less than a third 8. That's it!

A colorful bouquet of flowers in an elegant vase not only enlivens the decor of the room, but also becomes the central interior accent - the first thing that attracts everyone's attention from a distance. Knowing how to make a rose out of paper, you can easily decorate your living room with an everlasting bouquet, without burdening yourself with an expensive trip to the flower shop, and you will also get answers to a lot of other questions: how to complement an evening dress or an original hairstyle, how to keep your children occupied, and what to give to your loved ones in the coming years. holidays.

Do you want to make a chic bouquet of paper roses?

Today we will look at several ways to make a paper rose with your own hands. Most of the manufacturing options presented are quite simple at first glance (this is exactly the feeling you will get while watching the master classes), but we assure you that this is not so.

Most likely, you won’t be able to make a paper rose the first time, so be patient and have supplies.
Well, in a good mood, because doing origami while on edge is a bad idea.

Origami florist materials

Of course, it’s better not to start work without a good mood and creative passion. You may also need: sheets of white paper and paint; transparent cellophane to wrap voluminous roses and “disguise” their artificial origin; various ribbons and other decorative elements for a “tasty” bouquet design; double-sided colored paper (close to the natural color of the rose from the greenhouse).

Origami roses made from a simple paper napkin look realistic, take more of them. Foil and thread, a little glue and glitter will come in handy. When folding paper roses with your own hands, involve in the process everything that fits into the original creative idea. However, you can make a rose from a piece of school notebook and already surprise others with this. This simple craft doesn't require much.

Lesson 1: how to fold a small rose out of paper

Figure 1. Simple DIY paper rose

It turns out to be a kind of “weaving” of a flower. To work you will need colored paper, wooden kebab skewers and scissors. You may also need PVA glue and a glue gun with quick-drying glue if you decide to make a stem with leaves.

This is a simple scheme, thanks to which you can fold a voluminous rose in about five minutes, and it will only take you 15-30 minutes to create a whole bouquet of spectacular flowers using the origami technique, which you can even put in a vase.

Proceed step by step:

  • Cut uniform long strips (the length of a sheet) about 1 cm wide from plain paper with your improvised tools (a stationery knife, scissors);
  • Take one strip and make the initial folds inward on it, according to Fig. 1. You don’t need to carefully observe the angles of the bends, you can fold it by eye - each origami rose will be unique;
  • Begin to carefully roll the workpiece along the axis, without running into the free parts of the strip. Reaching an untouched area, bend the strip in the opposite direction from the previous bend and wrap the flower further;
  • Continue the “movement” until the end of the strip. Glue the final “tail” to the base of the resulting flower;
  • Place the “cap” of the rose on the stem. The latter can be made from green paper (rolling the sheet into a thin tube) or using a wooden skewer (twig, wire - whatever is at hand).

Do you see how you can create beauty without any special tricks - easily and quickly? It remains to repeat the steps with the remaining paper strips in order to quickly fold a whole bouquet of paper roses with your own hands. Similar flowers can be folded.

Watch the video carefully and several times in a row to understand exactly how this is all done.

Lesson 2: folding a figured rose according to a template

Surely you have never seen anywhere how to make a paper rose using a figured graphic template. It’s amazing how easy it is to create a beautiful garden queen. 2. It will work especially well from a double-sided piece of paper, but you can also use starched textiles, for example.

Figure 2. How to make a paper rose with your own hands

  • In Fig. Figure 2 shows exemplary diagrams for preparing a graphic template for a standard sheet of paper. Draw a similar curly pattern yourself, where the wavy petals go in a serpentine towards the center;
  • Cut out the workpiece along the traced contours and carefully cut a serpentine line with scissors to the very center point;
  • Make these templates according to the desired number of flowers in the future bouquet - 3-15 pcs. (can be of different sizes);
  • Using the “peduncle” as an axial “spindle”, carefully wrap the edge of the curly strip onto it, as shown in Fig. Wrap the entire flower like this, taking your time and focusing on the base of the origami rose;
  • Glue the “bundle” at the base, simultaneously fixing it on the peduncle, straighten the petals - you have made luxurious flowers with your own hands.

When making such a rose from colored paper, take its most realistic shades - purple, delicate pink, natural beige or deep scarlet. And if this rose is made from a napkin, the result will be great - it will be almost impossible to distinguish it from a real one from afar.

The video shows an example of making a flower using a similar technique, but it is glued together from individual petals.

Lesson 3: Roses from paper spirals

Perhaps one of the most unusual ways to get a small rose out of paper.

No weaving or assembling flowers from blanks, everything is as simple, fast and cheap as possible.
Using this method, you can produce up to 200-300 flowers in one day, which are perfect for decoration.

The paper used is the most common one.
You need PVA glue or a special one for needlework; quick-drying glue from a glue gun will not work.

Lesson 4: complex “living” rose using origami technique

We are improving our skills, and our new goal is a large rose using the origami technique, which is as similar as possible to the real queen of greenhouses. By mastering this pattern, you are not folding a simple flower from a piece of paper, but a true work of art. The final result will directly depend on patience and accuracy. So:

  • Take a square sheet of paper and fold it diagonally, then in half from bottom to top and from right to left;
  • Fold the corners of the “lined” square diagonally located in front of you to the bottom corner, forming a hem of the planes inside the workpiece (exactly as in Fig. 3);
  • Next, fold the intricate “pocket”, strictly adhering to the diagram, and then unfold the workpiece, focusing on the control points (carefully see Fig. 3);
  • Grasp the resulting “layered” workpiece confidently with one hand to securely fix the package and prevent it from falling apart when wrapping the petals. With your second hand, start tucking the “petals” from the inside, slightly creasing the structure and using the technique of opening the corners;
  • Bring the edges of the corners together as shown in Fig. 3 and press the fixing “ribs” of the flower, following the diagram. Using the tip of a ballpoint pen (pin or paperclip), “curl” the upward-protruding petals inside. Similarly, give the outer petals of the flower a twisted shape.
  • Using glue, plant the rose on a previously prepared pedicel, decorated with stem petals made of green construction paper.

This is not the easiest origami rose, but it is very interesting to make. Especially for inquisitive natures, focused on results. The elegance of the finished flower will definitely reward you with a sense of pride in your skills in the origami technique and contemplation of the almost real splendor of the owner of the rose garden.

Lesson 5: creating masterpieces. Rose Kawasaki

If you understand how to fold the unique giant Kawasaki rose, you will be able to master the most virtuosic crafts. The hardest thing to learn here is how to make a rosebud from a simple square piece of paper. Therefore, it will not be superfluous to first watch a training video, which shows much more clearly how this is done.

  • Make a multi-level folding of the future rose from a square-shaped paper blank, based on the video and figure. 4;

  • Bend back the small corners and, lifting the sheet, form a dome with a “cut” upper corner, bring the workpiece into the plane of the required shape (see Fig. 4);
  • Now form the core by carefully bending the peculiar upper flaps towards you (opening) and bending the lower edge of the workpiece back (raising the bundle);
  • Secure the core with tape or hold it tightly with your fingers so that the workpiece does not fall apart, then turn the product “face down”;
  • Along the folds, turn the corners (petals) inward along the axis, clasping the entire bowl of the flower with your hand. Then you will need to open each corner fold, tucking it inward;
  • The outer petals, inaccurately sticking out in different directions, need to be folded towards each other and tucked into the body pocket of the adjacent petal;
  • Squeezing the bud in your hand, compact it slightly, and then straighten the flower from the inside by inserting a pencil into the cavity hole at the base - the origami Kawasaki rose is ready.

To make the origami Kawasaki rose unfold before you in absolute splendor, shape its petals based on the photo. Incredibly, an amazingly beautiful rose was made from paper with your own hands, although it is ready to compete in beauty with a living prototype from a flower shop. This craft made from a napkin is especially good, but it will be even more difficult to make - the soft material holds the structure of the bends less well.

The video will tell you how to make this beauty out of paper if the diagram in the photo is not enough for you.

Did you manage to make a Kawasaki rose out of paper? You can be proud of your skills, but continue to make origami flowers of other varieties from paper. and lilies, for example.

Origami rose It’s not complicated to make and consists of one sheet of paper. Detailed master class on assembling origami roses I made it from a photo Ella Ka users of the Country of Masters site, thank you very much for this.
paper rose can be used as a decoration separately or as a module to create a floral kusudama.

1. To assemble the rose, take 1 red A4 sheet on both sides. One sheet will make 2 squares measuring 14.85 x 14.85 cm.

2. Fold the square in half, unfold the piece of paper and fold it in half again.

3. Turn the paper over.

4. Fold the edge towards the middle, but press down only the middle part, the edges on both sides should remain unbent!

5. Repeat similarly on all sides.

6. Fold diagonally on both sides, also pressing only the middle part, the corners should remain unbent!

7. Unfold the sheet, this is how it should come out.

8. On the left side from each corner, measure 2.75 cm. (This distance was determined experimentally, i.e. it is slightly more than one third of the part before the fold. If you take a sheet of paper of a different size, then this distance will be the same, respectively , will be different).

9. Mark the fold line to the corner where the 3 folds meet. I did this with a stick. I put cardboard on it. Repeat from 4 corners.

10. It will turn out like in the photo below.

11. You can see it better this way. I marked out all the fold lines.

12. Fold along the marked side lines. We don't bend anything else.

13. Now the most interesting and difficult part to explain from the photo.

14. With four fingers I take it on four sides. So.

15. This is what it looks like from below. Place the palm of your other hand in this place, and... lightly pressing and straightening the corners outward and upward, twist, turning your hands in the opposite direction to each other. That is, here the top of the future flower is clockwise, the bottom is counterclockwise. (If the side oblique lines are bent on the right sides of the corners, then we twist - the top is counterclockwise, and the bottom is clockwise)

16. It should turn out like this!

17. View from below

18. Glue the 4 outer petals.

19. Twist the center of the rose with tweezers

20. Twist the rose petals outward with scissors. The origami rose is ready!

All fans of the art of origami are familiar with the name Toshikazu Kawasaki. This Japanese master is widely known among origamists for his unusually realistic models. Today we will tell you how to make a rose using the technique proposed by this master.

Master Kawasaki's most favorite figure is the queen of flowers - the rose. It turns out so realistic that sometimes it is difficult to distinguish it from a living flower:

Such realism is achieved through unusual paper folding techniques and techniques for turning a sheet of paper.

For beginners who are folding a rose using the origami technique for the first time, the video master class will be a must. Therefore, before work, please have patience and time to watch the required video (you will find them at the end of the article). Don't be afraid to try new things in the fine art of origami.

So, for work we will need a square of red paper (or any other color, at your discretion).

Origami rose: step-by-step master class with photos

We will start our master class with a diagram of the folds of a sheet of paper:

It is advisable to make all paper folds on the front and back sides to facilitate further work with the workpiece. As a result of paper manipulations, we should get the following:

After all the folds on the sheet have been completed, we begin folding the rose. First of all, fold the corners of the paper to the front side. In the future, these will be the largest rose petals:

Now let’s turn the work over to the reverse side:

Let's move on to the next step of work. Here we need to fold a piece of paper along the diagonal folds, forming a square with a diagonal indentation in the center:

If you strictly followed the folding pattern, then the sheet of paper will easily fold into this position:

Now place the workpiece on the table and carefully bend the top flap towards you:

The laborious process of addition begins. Try to strictly follow the instructions. You need to bend the bottom sheet away from you, carefully lifting the workpiece. After this, we should have the future core of the flower. She firmly holds the corners of the figure, not allowing them to turn around:

To fix the position of this core and to avoid its rupture during further manipulations, we strongly recommend strengthening it with a piece of tape:

Let's turn the work around:

We begin to give volume to the figure, alternately bending the corners of the future flower in one direction along the fold lines:

We already have the outlines of a rose. Please note that the figure has already taken the shape of a bud:

Maintaining the same accuracy of work, we move on to folding the petals. This stage of work is quite difficult. First, you need to bend one of the corners of the flower and open it, then bend it along the arrow to the inside:

Once you have completed the addition, you need to bend this part in the opposite direction, taking into account the fold lines of the small triangle:

Repeat this step for the remaining rose petals. After this manipulation with the workpiece, the flower should take on this shape:

The remaining untouched petals need to be folded into each other. Those. tuck the edge into the pocket of the adjacent petal:

Now you need to gently press your fingers from below and from the sides of the workpiece, reducing the lower hole:

We have a finished rose bud. Our task is to reveal it. For this we need, for example, a pencil. By the way, it was for this action that we reinforced the core with tape:

Squeeze out the core of the flower.
