How to make oat milk for face. Washing with oatmeal - methods, benefits, folk recipes

“Hercules” porridge in the morning is an excellent breakfast that can give you a huge supply of energy, but it is useful not only for food. Washing with oatmeal is a cosmetic procedure, the results are not inferior to salon treatments. The cereal from which the flakes are made is rich in natural antioxidants, natural anti-inflammatory and antibacterial substances. It soothes the skin, eliminates all signs of irritation, successfully fights allergies and promotes the regeneration of epidermal cells.

It has been proven by practice: a spray, mask or scrub based on oatmeal proves to be effective where proprietary products fail. Many home recipes have been known for almost four thousand years, and over all these centuries they have not undergone any changes. Modern fashionistas who take care of their faces with the help of a unique cereal perform the same procedures that Cleopatra and Nefertiti once discovered.

Quick care algorithm from Tatyana Ast

No auxiliary equipment needed! A handful of rolled oats should be poured directly into the palm of your hand with hot water (regular, from the tap). Stir for a minute. Moisten the delicate skin around the eyes with liquid (oat milk), and distribute the steamed flakes over the rest of the face, massage it thoroughly and wash.

The second option is a mask, for which you will need some raw porridge and hot milk (if you don’t have it, just boiling water). Steam the flakes for 5 minutes. When the product has cooled, you can add clay to it (to fight inflammation), egg white (to reduce pores), and yolk with honey (for active nutrition).

Tatyana warns that when you wash your face every day, it may suddenly seem like there are more pimples. This is a temporary effect, it is due to the fact that all the dirt and toxins seem to be pushed out from within. Soon the skin will clear up.

Oatmeal with additives from guzel473

The blogger advises grinding regular rolled oats and then mixing the flour with milk or whey (if the skin is not too dry). Then add olive oil (a teaspoon) or any suitable essential oil (a few drops). Or - a little clay (literally a pinch, so that the composition remains liquid, like cosmetic milk). You can use the cleanser every day.

Take half a glass of oatmeal and warm water (boiled). Mix in a jar, close, leave in a dark place for a day. Then strain through cheesecloth to separate the resulting viscous infusion from the flakes. The cake is useful for scrubbing the skin, and the “milk” is useful for wiping the face (using a cotton swab or pad). This home remedy keeps well in the refrigerator for about a week.

Next is the preparation of a gentle cleansing composition for the face. In addition to the flakes, you will need an avocado seed - it should be crushed into pieces and ground into powder. This flour is added to the previously obtained oat milk. The product is applied along the massage lines with light stroking movements.

Hercules scrub for quality cleansing

At least a couple of times a week, old, keratinized particles of the epidermis should be removed. This helps it renew itself more actively, as a result the face becomes smooth, fresh, and its color healthy and even. Usually they use a scrub (store-bought or homemade). The easiest way is to prepare your own oatmeal-based cleansing composition. The main thing is to take into account your skin type.

For a dry type of epidermis, additional nutrition and hydration must be provided. Various oils, egg yolks, sour cream (and its “substitutes”), and warm milk are perfect.

Example: mix natural olive or sea buckthorn oil with flakes (1:1 ratio), let the latter swell a little and become softer. Add 1-2 drops of patchouli or rose essential oils. Apply the product to your face, massage gently for three to four minutes, and then thoroughly remove any residue with warm water.

For oily skin with large pores, the best additions to an oatmeal scrub are fermented milk products, egg whites or lemon.

Example: pass a handful of dry rolled oats through a coffee grinder, add a teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice and aloe, a couple of pinches of sugar, a drop of mineral water (so that the mixture is not too thick). Use as a regular cleanser - instead of soap.

There are no problems with normal skin - you can use any “filler”, from yogurt or honey to carrot juice. If there is a need to whiten the skin a little, the flakes should be mixed with grated fresh cucumber.

Anti-aging care using flakes

With age, skin loses its former elasticity - this is the main reason for the appearance of wrinkles. And again, amazing oatmeal will help us - this time for rejuvenation.

"Shower gel

1) First, the cereal must be turned into flour, a tablespoon of which must be added to a quarter glass of moderately hot liquid. Cool and use as intended.

2) You need to steam a couple of spoons of the main ingredient with the same amount of boiling water. When the rolled oats soften, you should add a fruit component that has a tonic effect.

It is advisable to choose according to the season. In June it could be fresh strawberry puree, and in August it could be seedless grapes minced through a meat grinder. In winter, when there is a shortage of fresh gifts of nature, it is very good to use pumpkin.

Special oat water can increase the elasticity of the skin and its resistance to negative factors.

Raw porridge is steamed overnight with boiling water in a thermos or a regular jar (two tablespoons of raw material per liter of water). In the morning, the infusion can be poured into a spray bottle - an excellent tonic is ready!

Napkins

To treat problem skin, it is better to take napkins - it is convenient to moisten them in oatmeal water and then wipe your face. Or prepare special “infusion bags” in advance, which can easily be turned into a home care product in a couple of minutes.

You will need small squares of gauze, pour a teaspoon of rolled oats into the center, then gather the edges and tie them with thread. If necessary, such an envelope with flakes is soaked in boiling water (like regular tea), and then used to cleanse or massage the face.

Very important! Steamed oatmeal is a great help for insect bites. It is enough to apply it to the sore spot for five minutes so that the itching subsides and the redness decreases.

A confident “no” to pimples of any color!

Regular oatmeal for the face is useful for every woman, but it is especially appreciated by the unfortunate owners of too porous skin, redheads and blackheads. On the one hand, the flakes “work” as a peeling, helping to remove any dirt. On the other hand, they soothe, disinfect, kill bacteria, stop inflammation and strengthen local immunity.

Masks based on cosmetic clay and dry rolled oats are very effective. They are mixed in equal quantities, add a pinch of dry chamomile, lemon balm, mint or other medicinal herb, and knead until the consistency of sour cream with warm milk or green tea. This homemade cream is applied to the problem area with a tampon or a clean sponge, left on for half an hour, and then carefully washed off.

If you don’t have much time to experiment, you can really improve your appearance with oatmeal alone. Every day before taking a bath or shower, steam a spoon or two of oatmeal in boiling water. Once it cools down, apply a thick layer to the affected area and begin water procedures. Remove the paste from your face at the very last moment - and you will soon see that the skin becomes velvety, smooth, and cleansed literally before your eyes.

It is impossible to overestimate the benefits of oatmeal:

    This mask stops inflammatory processes, relieves irritability and redness of the skin;

    Helps improve complexion, restores its natural radiance;

    Oatmeal works to moisturize, nourish and protect the skin, relieves flaking and itching;

    It will become a real salvation, coping with annoying oily shine, narrowing enlarged pores and normalizing the process of sebum production;

    Those who are tormented by skin problems - rashes, acne, pimples, blackheads - will be delighted with the effect of oat masks, which can easily cope with all this;

    In addition, it is also a wonderful product that helps fight skin aging and fading, and has a rejuvenating effect - an oat mask tightens your skin, restores its elasticity and firmness, and removes wrinkles.

As you can see, simple rolled oats can be a universal product. This product is suitable for owners of any skin type, and its additional and very important advantage is that it does not cause allergies at all.

The beneficial properties of oats have been known for a long time. Back in ancient Greece, beauties used it to keep their skin radiant and beautiful longer. They were absolutely right, because oatmeal is simply a natural storehouse of vitamins, containing a lot of useful substances and microelements.

    Thanks to the work of B vitamins (thiamine), skin regeneration processes are accelerated, its natural moisture is maintained, the appearance of age spots is prevented, and the protective barrier is increased (by increasing the amount of ceramides and fatty acids).

    Skin microtraumas heal faster, and wrinkles are smoothed out under the influence of silicon and retinol (vitamin A).

    Vitamin C in combination with beta-glucan and ventramide have a powerful antioxidant effect.

    And vitamin E helps regulate skin hydration, protects it from ultraviolet radiation and relieves inflammatory processes.

In addition, oatmeal is rich in magnesium, potassium, calcium, chromium, iron, iodine, fluorine, phosphorus, sulfur, and amino acids. That's why an oatmeal mask can compete with the most expensive cosmetic product.

How to prepare a simple oatmeal face mask at home (application rules)

In order for the mask to be effective, bring the desired result and not cause any negative consequences, you should follow some simple rules.

    The base for the mask can be prepared in different ways, because oatmeal is used as a cream, scrub, moisturizer or nourishing agent, gel or milk for washing. Therefore, depending on the recipe you choose, prepare the main ingredient first - oatmeal. For a cream mask, you will need to grind them into flour (either a blender or a coffee grinder will do), and for a scrub, just grind them a little into fine grains. However, in some recipes you can use the flakes in their entirety.

    If you want the effect to be even better, try adding other healthy ingredients to its composition: honey, olive oil, sour cream, lemon or fruit juice, coffee beans, prepare it with kefir, milk, etc.

    Before making any mask, you should thoroughly cleanse your face of cosmetics, and just before applying it, steam your skin (a herbal steam bath or just a warm compress with water will do). Hands should also be clean, and it is better to collect hair with a hairpin or hide it under an elastic bandage.

    For those with dry skin, you can first apply a nourishing cream, and then make a mask. The cream should also protect the sensitive skin around the eyes (there is no need to apply the mixture to these areas and lips).

    Distribute the mask starting from the nose and cheeks, that is, from the center of the face, and gradually move to its periphery. You will need to keep it until it dries completely, and then rinse it off with cool water.

    At the end of the cosmetic procedure, also apply cream to your face and neck.

You should know that there are no contraindications for an oatmeal mask in its pure form, but if you add other ingredients to its composition, be sure to check before applying whether you are allergic to them. You should also not have the procedure done if your skin has severe scratches, bruises, or open wounds.

Effective oatmeal mask recipes

The easiest way to care is to wash your face with oatmeal. This procedure can help you get rid of various types of rashes, pimples and blackheads.

Oatmeal mask for acne

    Pass the flakes through a meat grinder or grind them in a coffee grinder. Store them in a container that is sealed tightly. When you wash your face, take some flakes and apply them to your damp face, massage lightly along the massage lines, and then rinse.

    A regular classic mask will cope with problem skin. All you need is water and two tablespoons of cereal. Pour boiling water over them and leave to brew for a while. When the mass has cooled, you can do the procedure.

    If you are worried not just about acne, but about severe acne, then you will need to add one more, very necessary ingredient to the basic mask - a teaspoon of baking soda. Before applying the paste to your face, stir the mixture. You will feel and see the positive effect almost immediately after rinsing off: the oily sheen will disappear, and the skin will become matte and smooth.

Use such masks regularly, and once or twice a week you can make a multi-component mask. To do this, you need to mix oatmeal (one handful) with herbal infusion of chamomile and mint flowers (one teaspoon per glass of water) and bring to a boil for several minutes. It is better to apply this mass to the face while it is warm.

Rejuvenating oatmeal mask

If your skin is starting to fade and you want to restore its youth and radiance, be sure to try anti-aging masks. There are several recipes for them.

    Pour a tablespoon of ground flakes not with water, but with brewed black tea (about 30-40 g). Let the mixture brew, and then add freshly squeezed lemon juice (10 g) and honey (10 g) to it. Stir the mixture well until it becomes a homogeneous paste. You can keep the mask for 15-20 minutes. And if you take green tea, it will have the desired effect due to its rich antioxidant content.

    Another effective recipe says that you need to mix oatmeal with the yolk of one egg, add a couple of drops of rosemary (essential oil) to the mixture and add a teaspoon of olive oil. After mixing, apply to face and leave for half an hour.

    A pinch of iodized salt or medium-ground coffee beans mixed with oatmeal makes an excellent facial scrub. And if you add finely chopped mint leaves to the basic oatmeal mask, then this mixture will replace you with a tonic that will relieve inflammation and irritation, and also have a refreshing and rejuvenating effect.

Face mask with honey and oatmeal

    Dry skin will really enjoy this nourishing and moisturizing mask. To prepare it, steam oatmeal in milk. When they swell, add one teaspoon each of butter (it is better to soften them first) and sour cream, as well as a tablespoon of honey.

    You can add oatmeal and cream. And if you add honey (a teaspoon) and fruit or vegetable juice (carrots, kiwi, avocado, cherries, grapes) to such a mask, then you will get a real vitamin cocktail for the skin.

    A mask made with kefir will have a tightening effect. Here you will need oatmeal and honey (a teaspoon each), diluted in one tablespoon of kefir (you can experiment and replace it with yogurt).

Oat milk for face

Oatmeal cooked with milk (a glass of cereal per liter of milk) will be a real salvation for hypersensitive skin. Boil the porridge for about half an hour, stirring constantly, and then squeeze through cheesecloth until there are no solid particles left in the mixture. Having achieved a homogeneous state, you can use oat milk for any purpose: as a cleanser, as a mask, and even add it to a cream. These, of course, are not all recipes. Try to experiment and come up with something of your own, because the ingredients for masks can be any products that you have on hand.

Oatmeal is an invaluable remedy. Be sure to try homemade masks using it, and you will no longer need expensive cosmetics from the store.

I don’t even remember who recommended this remedy to me, but the effect of it literally never ceases to excite my consciousness to this day!
For delicate, well-groomed body skin, we need a couple of handfuls of “Hercules”; both quick-cooking and coarser grinds are suitable; a glass of boiling water and optional additives (my personal upgrade is patchouli oil, lemon or orange oil, beaten egg white, dry Hercules flakes for additional peeling). Pour boiling water over the existing cereal, leave to cool to a temperature that is pleasant to the skin and at the same time infuse to obtain, in fact, “oat milk” (the term is not mine, I don’t know if such a thing exists in nature, but the effect of the resulting substance is really similar to the effect of full-fat milk on the skin - do you know the feeling of silky skin after milk baths?)))) While our oatmeal and boiling water are cooling, we can beat a couple of egg whites with a mixer and prepare a cup with a couple of spoons of dry cereal so as not to waste time. When our infusion has cooled down (don’t even think about straining it!), we stomp into the bath, grabbing the rest of our preparations.
Start of the process. I wash my body as usual - as you like, it would be nice to also include a body peeling item in the process. It is advisable to speed up the washing process, otherwise our whipped egg whites will “fall off”. Next step: spread the protein all over the body, without missing a single area - the light texture pleasantly envelops the skin and prepares it for the next step. We take dry flakes into laoshki and rub the skin until slightly reddened - this will improve microcirculation if you haven’t done peeling, and in general the sensation will be pleasant, like from a light massage. We wash off our mixture with water, and then follows the sacrament of “oat milk”: we also apply the oatmeal soaked in water to the skin and massage it, as after applying body lotion. This liquid feels like it has such a slight slip, so everything goes like clockwork in the literal sense). If you have enough time, then it is advisable to extend this action - it will only get better. Then rinse off and wipe dry. Creams and body milk are not necessary in this case - for the purity of the experiment, you can skip them once, or you can skip them more than once - to make sure how silky the skin becomes, and any paraben sulfates are unlikely to be useful for it (which we have in body skin products).
You can use it without protein and dry flakes, just washing and “milk”, but I almost always do the full “complex” - I’m already used to it, it doesn’t take much time, except that whipping the protein is somewhat time-consuming, if, for example, you have I don't have a mixer at hand.
I also use oat milk for washing, much more often, by the way, than any kind of face wash and soap.
Try it, girls! I guarantee - remember me with a kind word!

Oatmeal is not only a valuable dietary and baby food product, but also an excellent component for the manufacture of cosmetics for skin care. If you want to improve the condition of your hair, you should pay special attention to the shampoos you use. A frightening figure - 97% of shampoos from well-known brands contain substances that poison our body. The main components due to which all the troubles on the labels are designated as sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, coco sulfate. These chemicals destroy the structure of the curls, the hair becomes brittle, loses elasticity and strength, and the color fades. But the worst thing is that this nasty stuff gets into the liver, heart, lungs, accumulates in organs and can cause cancer. We advise you not to use products that contain these substances. Recently, experts from our editorial team conducted an analysis of sulfate-free shampoos, where products from Mulsan Cosmetic took first place. The only manufacturer of completely natural cosmetics. All products are manufactured under strict quality control and certification systems. We recommend visiting the official online store mulsan.ru. If you doubt the naturalness of your cosmetics, check the expiration date; it should not exceed one year of storage.

If we talk about cleansing facial skin, then we need to mention not only the beneficial properties, but also the fact that there are contraindications. In this case, we are talking about people who suffer from celiac disease or, more simply put, intolerance to cereals. Most often, harm can only be caused by consuming it as a food product. But in especially severe cases, negative reactions may also occur when using oatmeal as a component of cleansing masks.

There are no other contraindications to the use of oatmeal. Therefore, if allergic reactions or other problems arise as a result of using oatmeal masks, then most likely the reaction occurs to other components of the product.

"Author of the article: Veronika Belova": Graduated with honors from the LOKON Academy of Beauty Industry. Mother of a beautiful child. I like to experiment, I constantly try different products, masks (including cooking with my own hands), techniques that can make us beautiful and healthy. I'm in

When I started switching to natural cosmetics, one of the dubious and unresolved issues for some time remained morning washing. How can you effectively and, moreover, gently cleanse your face after a night out, without resorting to industrial cosmetics?

Photo: Yandex pictures
Previously, I used milk from various companies, then micellar water. Now I began to look for analogues among natural products. I tried homemade yogurt. I applied it to a cotton pad like regular milk, wiped it over my face, then washed it off with water. It felt good, but my sensitive skin soon protested. The acid contained in the yogurt began to cause irritation, very strong, with tingling, redness and areas of peeling. Of course, I had to cancel this option.

Pratima Raichur in her book “Absolute Beauty” recommends sour cream for sensitive skin, but I don’t like spreading something so greasy on my face in the morning. Using oils in the morning is also not my thing. I wanted a light and gentle cleansing. I found the recipe, very simple and good. This is oat milk. It is prepared simply. You only need two components: rolled oats and drinking water.

So, pour half a glass of bottled or filtered water into a saucepan and set to heat. Throw a full tablespoon of rolled oats into boiling water. I don’t take the instant one, but the one that needs to be cooked for 15 minutes. Cover the future milk loosely with a lid and simmer over low heat for about five minutes. That's it, now turn off the stove, move the lid tighter and leave the pan on the stove to steam for another fifteen minutes. You don’t need to do it longer, otherwise the flakes will take in too much liquid, and the resulting milk will be small.

At this time, prepare a glass jar or bottle for storing the milk. They need to be washed with soda and sterilized; 2-2.5 minutes are enough for disinfection. in the microwave. When the time for infusing the rolled oats is over, all the liquid must be drained through a strainer or gauze into this prepared clean container. This will be oat milk. Once it cools down, put it in the refrigerator and store it there. It can be safely used for ten days without spoiling. Usually around this time the milk comes to an end.

We use it in the same way as industrial products - on a cotton pad and wipe the face, then rinse with water. It cleans normally, is comfortable for the skin, there is no irritation or tightness. Try oat milk to cleanse your face in the morning, especially if you have sensitive skin. In my opinion, the product, despite its simplicity and cheapness, is quite worthy for lovers of natural care.
